Downhome Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 Well, that'll be on the wall in my room pretty soon.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 I like it, but I think they could've done better with the title and Bat logo. That part of it looks kinda amatuerish, but the art work of Bats looks great.
Ravenbomb Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 ... is there nothing about this movie so far that ISN'T awsm?
Guest El Satanico Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 I've only witnessed three real complaints from others. The costume looking too much like the rubber suits from the Burton/Shumacher films. The Batmobile Katie Holmes; People see her name and still envision Dawson's Creek Even then most people say those are minor when you consider the rest of the project.
Nighthawk Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 I like it, but I think they could've done better with the title and Bat logo. That part of it looks kinda amatuerish, but the art work of Bats looks great. He's right. It's such a jarring contrast it almost ruins it. It should have had no words on it. Just a date, if anything. That would have been the best.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 You're right...it would look better without the title.
Mole Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 Katie Holmes; People see her name and still envision Dawson's Creek Which is pretty crappy since she isn't that bad of an actress. And that poster rules, I can't wait for this film. Plus it is another flick my Pops and I can see together.
Guest hhheld_down Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 Yeah, that'll work. thats the best superhero poster since spiderman 2 with doc oc. dont like the red lettering though
Si82 Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 You're right...it would look better without the title. I agree. As awesome as that poster is, the picture of Batman is fantastic!, the red lettering and logo look crappy.
Boner Kawanger Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 It evokes Jim Lee's run on Batman for some reason. I love it. Now I have to plan a new place to hang my Batman '89 poster so I can fit this and the release poster in. Damn poster collection/lack of walls.
Guest JMA Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 It's good to see that the WB and DC are finally on the right track with their super-hero movies (in regards to Batman and Superman). The more I see of this project, the more I like.
eiker_ir Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 oh man i love it, i'll own that too for sure. i agree i think it would've looked better with just "June 17" at the bottom, the logo isn't so bad but the red letters sucks still awesome picture
Ravenbomb Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 my only problem with them is that they seem tacked on. Like they weren't there when the poster was done, but then they made them add the title on to it at the last minute.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 The first Spider-Man poster was great too.
Mystery Eskimo Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 I like the idea, but it just doesnt look good. The figure is too black, it looks like someone just stuck a piece of black paper on a background, the contrast is too great.
Ravenbomb Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 I like the idea, but it just doesnt look good. The figure is too black, it looks like someone just stuck a piece of black paper on a background, the contrast is too great. that's how silhouettes usually are
Guest ShootingStylesPress Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Is it even gonna be possible for this movie to meet the expectations every fanboy is giving it?
Nighthawk Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Who cares? Their money's already spent.
Ravenbomb Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 I'm not even that into comic books and I'm psyched as hell about it
dubq Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Katie Holmes; People see her name and still envision Dawson's Creek Which is pretty crappy since she isn't that bad of an actress. Yes, actually, she is that bad..
bobobrazil1984 Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 She's been acceptable in most of the feature films I've seen her in.
SinToxic Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Actually she's like a half rotten peach. I wonder if Batman will use post its to remember Dr. Jonathan Crane.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 :files joke in the 4 months ago folder:
Guest JMA Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Is it even gonna be possible for this movie to meet the expectations every fanboy is giving it? Nolan himself seems like he's a huge Batman fan, so I'm sure the hardcore fans will be pleased. He's certainly gotten off to a great start.
Big McLargeHuge Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I still don't like the suit, but the poster looks great. Simple but powerful. It doesn't hold the same impact with me that the first Tim Burton Batman movie poster had on me, but I'm really liking the overall mood of it.
SuperJerk Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I like the idea, but it just doesnt look good. The figure is too black, it looks like someone just stuck a piece of black paper on a background, the contrast is too great. The hell? Saying Batman looks to black is like saying the sky looks too blue, or the grass looks too green. That's what color its SUPPOSED to be.
starvenger Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 thats the best superhero poster since spiderman 2 with doc oc. dont like the red lettering though Marketing decision probably. The red stands out, so if you're Joe Idiot, you can figure out what movie it is. btw your Rachel Ray picture there rules.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 International Teaser The title and logo are better, but I prefer the artwork on the US Teaser. This would be a good final theatrical release poster.
