cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 Oh god, speaking of those Korn covers the other day I heard their version of "Another Brick in the Wall" on the radio. It was so hilariously terrible I had to wonder if they were doing it deliberately. Hell, they even ended the song EARLY on the station, going to the DJ as the song limped to its end. Oddly enough I thought the Word Up cover was surprisingly ok.

Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 Which makes it funnier when he does try to rap. I wish that I seen Lil Jon on Rap City, and Tigger got him in the booth to bust a freestyle which I've been told that it consist of Lil Jon saying: OK, YEAH. His verse on "Lovers and Friends" was really funny as hell. SHAWTY!!! I love the "booth" on Rap City, since it's basically a basement bathroom with black lights. And I've been trying to find a copy of "Lovers and Friends" for a couple of weeks now - it's soaring up the Billboard charts and I've yet to hear it. Hmm. Also, I just saw Razorlight and Zutons videos back to back on MTV-U. Thanks for nothing, England.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 Unless I missed it, no one mentioned "Goodies." Ugh. That and "Get Tipsy." Those are two songs that are guaranteed to make me leave a dancefloor, and my tolerance for music is much higher in a club atmosphere. As far as band songs go, that Simple Plan song is just miserably bad. It's as if they wanted to be as blatant about running the entire palette of teen angst qualities. Jet's pretty bad too. DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 "What Became Of The Likely Lads" by the Libertines is beyond horrible, the kind of grating, dull toss that I'd feel horrified by if a third-on-the-bill pub band played it. The fact it made the UK top 10 amplifies the hatred by 100. "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand runs it a very close second though, mainly because it has one of the few guitar parts to make me feel actively ill.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 The Reason is more overrated than actively bad, if that makes any sense. As in if it was a song on the album but wasn't a main single you'd like it, but it getting played constantly wore it out.

As in if it was a song on the album but wasn't a main single you'd like it, but it getting played constantly wore it out. Agreed, that song suffered from massive overplay. I would have included "Take me Out" by Franz, but that damn song actually gets catchy if you listen to it more than three times. It's the reverse; the more I heard it the more I could stand it and then I liked the damn thing.

Chuck Woolery 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Whoever said Tipsy was spot-on the money. "Goodies" actually grew on me, but "Tipsy" is only good for making every person in my school say "Err'body" to the point of excess.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 'Just Lose It' is starting to grow on me, I think more people would like it if he'd released it three years ago, that's the problem with it. More samey than awful. That last 'aaaaaaiiiiiiighteeen...' Kings of Leon single was not only as pleasant as chewing foil with a mouthful of fillings but revealed that the band's true talent is to appear uglier when clean-shaven. Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 How could I forget "The Reason"... quite possibly the most boring song I've ever heard, both musically and lyrically.

As in if it was a song on the album but wasn't a main single you'd like it, but it getting played constantly wore it out. The problem with that song, is ok it's about a breakup. But lines like "There's many things I wish I didn't do", "I'm sorry that I hurt you", etc. etc. Yeah, that's what every breakup song is about, except most bands at least try to find a unique way to say it. Their song just shows a complete lack of lyrical effort.
Guest Loss Report post Posted December 14, 2004 I was all surprised "The Reason" didn't show up until page four. Wow, I hate that song. Worst lyrics ever. Britney Spears - My Prerogative Three Days Grace - I Hate Everything About You Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes Kenny Chesney & Unkle Kracker - When The Sun Goes Down Amy Lee & The Guy From Seether - Broken Usher - My Boo *Also, that "fuck what I said, it don't mean shit now" song, whatever it's called, was HORRIBLE.*

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2004 *Also, that "fuck what I said, it don't mean shit now" song, whatever it's called, was HORRIBLE.* Eamon- F*ck It (Don't Want You Back) is the song in question and, if not for "Just Lose It" would top my list. His 'ex-bitch's follw-up was equally as bad (Frankie?). There's a whole bunch of bad songs that probably never saw the light of day in the US too. Like the Portugese chick who won Big Brother, and used to be a man. And Blazin' Squad. Also, the theme-song from the Thunderbirds movie. Done by Busted. And voted Record Of The Year here in the UK by a bunch of dumb teen bitches and their mobile phones. Kevin Lyttle - "Turn Me On" I fucking HATE that song! That had to be 2003, surely. Guest TheLastBoyscout Report post Posted December 18, 2004 IDRM said it better, but: Lil' Jon took a lame-ass song with a great intro and spun into something ridiculously creative. Ozzy's not entirely lame in the Sabbath days (especially that first album), but once you get into the Blizzard of Ozz era, he fast becomes that. I don't even know hardcore Ozzy fans who actually try to defend "Crazy Train." Lil Jon's work in general is pretty overrated. The guy's greatest public exposure comes from being mercilessly parodied by Dave Chapelle. Oh and "You Remind Me" was a fucking AWFUL song.
