Brock Lesnar Ready To Make WWE Return?

Recommended Posts

Guest Salacious Crumb
What exactly is the point of taking Lesnar back?  Bring him back and give him a huge push and the whole roster might revolt.  If you job him out to everyone under the sun then he really has no heat and no possibility of drawing money.

I suppose the best thing to do is bring him back, job him in a very tough match to someone high up on the roster (paying the dues), and then slowly begin to push him again.

Uhhh, he's one of the best workers in the world. And he's a draw. The point of taking him back is that he'll produce great matches and draw money.

That hasn't stopped Vince from burying much higher calibur wrestlers over much less.

Normally I would think that Vince would try something like that. But, he rewarded Hogan with a world title run and he testifed against him and he's worked with Ventura after he successfully sued the company. Not to forget the returns of Piper and Sable. At least Lesnar can deliver in the ring. I, for one, can't wait for his return.

Look what he did to WCW.

...I don't know why, but if Lesnar were to return...I'd LOVE for him to be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble.

Do ala the Mable 99 and Foley 04 entrances...find someone in the back beaten up that was about to come out for the rumble...and suddenly, Lesnar's music cues up to show he's the replacement.

Surely they won't fuck up his return. This could be the chance to execute a bigtime angle. Maybe package Lesnar's return with Austins. Unite them in a faction with Batista or some young star. It would make them a star and freshen shit up.

I know that Lenar left WWE and it's fans in the lurch but what is to stop the crowd from popping insanely upon his arrival? (if he does indeed come back).

True, but keep in mind how Vince views "his creations".

I've been waiting for this since the NFL Preseason ended. It's weird to watch stuff from 2002-2004 and see Lesnar in there, but hear nothing about him in current WWE announcing or see him in video packages of any kind. As if those two years were some weird alternate universe or something.

Send Michaels to Smackdown to bring Lesnar to Raw. I know they aren't the brand for the "old guard" (with the exception of Undertaker), but there's so much potential for him over there. The only move that's unquestionably dumb would be to put him on Raw with no one sent to Smackdown to help balance things, even if they've been essentially the #2 show since the Royal Rumble and have really only Cena and Guererro as their main event-level guys that have gotten to that point in the last year or so. I really want to see Cena/Lesnar eventually for some reason though.

What I really want to see is the inevitable HHH/Lesnar program.

I think the crowd will boo the hell out of him if he comes back, and he won't ever be able to escape the "you sold out" chants.

I guess no one else here feels this way, but I (and probably alot of other fans) feel like Brock spit upon every wrestling fan, every wrestler, and the company that promoted him when he decided to leave at a time when WWE needed him the most, to go play football.

And didn't Brock pretty much say he's too good for our little "fake" sport anyway?

Those 'you sold out' chants will go away eventually.

See Hogan and Hart.

No, no...the You Sold Out chants are good. Besides keeping Brock's feet on the ground obviously, he'll be super over. Give him the same deal as The Rock had...only, football instead of movies. I left, yet a year on I'm still the biggest star on Smackdown sorta deal. Mega heel heat.

Assuming of course he is coming back in the first place.

Saying Brock Lesnar needs learn a proper SSP is like saying that Mick Foley needs to practice diving skullfirst into concrete because he's getting rusty at it. He did some absolutely gruesome shit during his Cactus Jack run in WCW where you can even hear the "CLOP!" sound of his skull impacting, but he only did this because he was a nobody. If you asked him to do it today, he'd laugh and tell you to fuck yourself.

The only goddamn reason Lesnar did the SSP was so he could get over, and they thought it would be something special at Mania and learned from that lesson. It wasn't anything he needed to learn, he doesn't even like doing it, it was something management learned that they shouldn't count on him to do a move like that.

He's over enough that he doesn't need it anymore, he's uncomfortable doing the move, he's damn well even more uncomfortable being up there now, and it's in management's best interests he doesn't start thinking he can safely fly.

Nobody ever really wanted to boo the guy. His promos weren't the best but he managed to get over the syndrome of people sitting on their hands when he came out and kept them there. The only reason MSG happened was enough hardcore fans (which makes sense, since if there's one demographic that really wanted into an event like WM20 it was hardcore fans) to start the heat wave and the marks just joined in because ruining the crowd reactions on live TV was kind of fun and rebellious.

Average crowds in Bumfuck Alabama will not care and will still pop like Pavlov's Dogs once they hear the opening sound effect of his theme.

If they bring Lesnar back, they should immediately have him tear through the roster, or punk out somebody big. I mean like HHH or the Undertaker. And none of this not feeling it bullshit. Those guys should immediately take a beating, and then run scared. This company needs a new strong presence very badly.

I'd call that bad booking more than a burial for vengeance. Vince took what he had and had a vision for what would be great with it. His vision may have sucked but I have a hard time believing that he intentionally sabotaged histories biggest money angle just to show up a bankrupt company.

I only hope the WWE doesn't job him out right away to "teach him a lesson", *especially* to Taker/HHH/Orton.

Considering that the plan before he left was a squash feud with the Taker, it wouldn't be shocking if they picked up right where they left off.

Shut up, Anglesault.

I agree with the notion that he needs to come back and really punk someone out. Or, better yet, pair him with Rock. The "we're way too good for you guys 90% of the time" stable.

I really like to see Lesnar return and fued with RVD. Remember in 2002, when they had a really great fued? At the time alot of people even said it could of been the next HHH/Rock. Then Lesnar went to Smackdown, and they never faced each other again.

Lesnar to RAW could work out to. Trade Lesnar for HBK or Benoit or Jerichio.

I honestly hope he never comes back.

I hate the bastard.

Why?

He was very over and could wrestle to boot. Many people consider his match v. Eddy to be the 2004 MOTY.

And him coming back would be a breath of fresh air to RAW or Smackdown as there are lots of potential matches and angles for him.

Not to say that Brock would be the big savior, but him reutrning would be more interesting than anything going on in WWE right now. As far as the wrestlers being upset? Screw them! Like they wouldn't ever leave for another wrestling rpomotion or to do something else in life if they can either make more money or find more happiness?

Brock was a good wrestler and was so physically imposing it was unreal. Anyone remember his standing belly-to-bellys where he just chucked the guy over his head? Realistic, because it was Lesnar. F5-ing the big Show? Yup. Running powerbombing the Big Show? Uh-huh.

If WWE were to bring him back as a monster, whether monster face or monster heel, I'd start watching regularly again. If they bring him back as whiny cowardly heel... go fuck themselves. Lesnar is a monster - he can't be anything else.

What if they mix his monster character with his jerk-off heel like he was during the Eddie Guerrero mini-feud?
