Raw 1.3.05 Speculation, Reactions and Complaints

Recommended Posts

Guest The Shadow Behind You

What will be the fallout from the last Raw of 2004? After such a blockbuster show with so many twist and turns affecting New Year’s Revolution, emotions will most definitely be running at an all-time high.

As Raw went off the air last week, it was announced that Shawn Michaels will be the special guest referee for the Elimination Chamber Match. Triple H and several other Superstars didn’t look too pleased with the announcement. It’s no secret that The Game and HBK have bad blood that will probably never go away. And Edge cost Michaels the World Heavyweight Championship at Taboo Tuesday. That’s something that the Showstopper surely hasn’t forgotten. Will this cause Edge to speculate further that everyone is out to get him in his quest for the World Heavyweight Championship?

Batista must be happy that he will be entering the Elimination Chamber last, but it was clear that didn’t sit well with Triple H last week. How will the two continue to co-exist, and will Ric Flair be able to keep them together as a cohesive unit heading into New Year’s Revolution?

Also, after verbally and physically assaulting Good Ol’ J.R. and The King last week on Raw, Muhammed Hassan and Khosrow Daivari will square off against the Raw announcing duo in a battle of the minds as Eric Bischoff signed a debate to take place on the first Raw of 2005.

Last week, Gene Snitsky found out he’d be facing Kane at New Year’s Revolution. Will that announcement send Snitsky on the war path this week?

Kane’s wife Lita also found out she’d be putting her Women’s Championship on the line at New Year’s Revolution in a rematch against rival Trish Stratus. Will the two Divas’ paths cross this week on Raw?

Be sure to tune in to Monday Night Raw (9/8 CT; Spike TV) for all the answers.

--------------------

No Matches announced as of yet; I would expect alot of hype for the PPV with 3-4 matches being made official to add to the card.

Christian/Tomko Vs Eugene/Regal

Maven/Benjamin

Dean/Hurricane

Hassan/Rhyno (squash)

already announced

Elimination Chamber

Kane/Snitsky

Lita/Trish.

I'm expecting either

HHH/EDGE/Batista Vs Jericho/Orton/Benoit

or 3 split matches

Batistia/Jericho

HHH/Benoit

Edge/Orton

Shawn will cut a promo; Edge interupts. Tension and hatred is sold. Shawn won't be "responsible" for his actions.

Debate leads to Hassan attacking Lawler and Ross and leads to Foley returning in his backyard to continue the political angle with Hassan.

Show ends with the 6 chamberers in a brawl. Batistia lays them all to waste...'cept HHH who eats a foot from Shawn. Batistia shrugs it off and rolls away. Shawn stands there with bodies laid out as we fade away.

This isnt a OAO thread; that can be done at the Usual Place

Hmm, Raw is starting live here now, so I don't have to watch on a lousy streamed connection any more. I have no hopes going into the show - when they hype a debate over fucking matches, then why the fuck should I care? If it's not hyped, they have no confidence in it to draw. And if WWE know it sucks... then, yeah.

Oh wow.. I changed my mind.. because we all know following the great buyrate of the Jim Ross/King vs Coach/Al Snow match... that get this.. Hassan /Daivari vs King/Jim FUCKING Ross would sell even better.

So there is your new match for the PPV... Hassan and Daivari vs Ross and King.. and we all know who WWE will let win.. fuck me.

What if Hassan and Daivari's attack on the announcers were so vicious that JR and King had to be sent to the medical facility for a few weeks opening the announcing booth for someone better like say Paul Heyman & Tommy Dreamer.

I think they would get massive heat if that happened and Hassan /Daivari took over as announcers...

Also more exposure for what could eventually draw money down the line.

Maybe they're hoping that the tremendous reaction they got last week will carry into this week. Who knows? We'll just have to watch and find out.

Hassan and Davari as the Annouce Team would suck massive BUTT nuggets.

This debate should be awful. I like Hassan and his character thus far, but we all know Ross and Lawler will be all "America ROCKS!" and Hassan will be like "I know. But people like me should not be discriminated against", so then the crowd will chant "USA! USA" before a giant brawl breaks out.

I could care less about Team Terrorist vs. USA BAH GAWD~!*%^, but it will be interesting to see how they build up the Elimination Chamber because that's easily the only thing that's making me attracted to buying the PPV next Sunday.

Anyone else enjoy watching CSI? I remember I used to watch it back in late 2002 after Raw and got hooked...I should probably started watching it on CSI cause I only watch the ones on SpikeTV and the late night CSI Weekends on like at 12:30 in the morning on Saturday and Sunday.

Alright, I'll shut up.

The thing is Hassan can seemingly cut killer intense promos, according to the crowd reaction to him lately. The guy should be going for the IC belt now while he's hot instead of wasting him on this usless segment.

Nassau. Which is NYC/Jersey area.

Foley will be there since it's his backyard.

I think that was Batista's best match to date, he was awesome.

Quite the curveball to have Trips/Orton tonight, though I'm not expecting a clean finish of course.

By the way, tonight was the first ever time we've got Raw live here in the UK and we got no sound for the first few minutes. Nice one WWE/Sky.

Cheers.

I am shocked no one cried when Benoit was beaten clean as a whistle by Batista.

I know this is a little late but isn't it funny how when Bischoff was announcing the matchups relating to the title match, when naming off Triple H he just had to throw in a "one of the greatest world champions ever" blast.

I did, I just didn't express it on the board. More then the loss was the fact that Batista no sells the Crossface to deliver the powerbomb, then kind of non-chalantley grabs it after the match like "oh yeah I guess my arm is experiencing pain"

Oh great here comes that lame-o debate......

I'm sure Benoit was glad he did that, since a one armed powerbomb would kill him.

That wasn't a no-sell, Benoit hooked it once for less than 30 seconds. He just didn't hurt him enough.

I honestly don't understand why they don't do more with JR...like general manager or something. He's always been one of the most over personalities in the WWE that's non-wrestling. Remember when he walked down after Vince was about to announce the new general manager on Raw about 2 years ago? Place went crazy.

That segment really needed Foley or Rock or something.

But it cut him over pretty well as a heel, so mission accomplished.

I know it wasn't intentional, but I find it amusing that the debate segment that ended with two americans down and out in the ring at the hands of two arab-americans concluded at 9:11 central time.
