SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 Wow, that ECW ppv is going to be a real success, alright.
GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 It would have been interesting to hear him come out to anything other than "Enter Sandman" since you know WWE wouldn't spring for the music rights.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 At least they're trying to get non WWE ECW guys involved. GET MIKEY!
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted January 5, 2005 It would have been interesting to hear him come out to anything other than "Enter Sandman" since you know WWE wouldn't spring for the music rights. My thoughts exactly. Plus his entrance would probably be cut down to 2 minutes max
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 So at this point the ECW PPV will probably feature: Tazz Tommy Dreamer Dudleys Spike Dudley RVD Rhyno Lance Storm Tajiri Steven Richards Nunzio Dawn Marie Al Snow Thats probably not enough, good luck making a PPV card worth watching out of that. They'll probably pay Foley to show up.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 Tazz isn't going to wrestle on it, either. Man I was at least hoping for Sandman. Now, without him, and without the ability to bring in Shane Douglas or Raven either............what's the fucking point?
GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 And if they were to do this the right way, it would be at Viking Hall and the original front row guys (Hat Guy, Faith No More Guy, etc.) would be comped in advance. I can totally see the NYC crowd turning on the show.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 Storm and Malenko were both mentioned about doing matches on the card in a recent Observer. They had the idea of Eddie/Dean to relive the matches that made them famous in the US. I'd love an Impact Players reunion, but it probably won't happen. I wouldn't count on Tanaka or Corino being brought in either.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted January 5, 2005 I wonder if they'll go after Sabu or New Jack? Probably not I'd think...
justcoz 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 Whatever happened to Faith No More guy? He used to be at WWF shows in NY/Phili as well.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 I wonder if they'll go after Sabu or New Jack? Probably not I'd think... Theres a whole list of people who should be in it, but for this PPV to have any reason to exist, I would think they would need to get at least one of these 3 to sign up to do it. Sabu Raven Shane Douglas I dont see it happening.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 I could see Sabu showing up to make an appearance, he's messed up and could use the money.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 I doubt we'll see Corino, the ECW DVD didn't even mention him. Justin Credible may be a possibility.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted January 5, 2005 Good. I like seeing Vince's shit fall apart since he's ruined wrestling with the large monopoly he's thrown together.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 In the same writeup in the Observer, it said that if Sabu were physically able to do anything, he would as long as Heyman wasn't involved (the two do not get along). Given Heyman's status that's at least a step in the right direction if they want to legitimize this thing (well, as much as they can). It wouldn't shock me to see Meanie back for a bWo skit or something. Funk would probably work a match as well. I don't know if there would be much point in bringing in Johnny Grunge to do something solo, but he's another possibility.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted January 5, 2005 I was about to think before opening the page "WWE wants to sign THE SANDMAN!?" but now that it's for the ECW show... how lame. Sandman should appear, even though he's shit in the ring and is the most out of shape wrestler ever.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 What are 2 Cold Scorpio, Mike Awesome, Jerry Lynn doing now?
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 I dunno. I think George Steele may have been more out of shape. Or possibly Abdullah. Also, Johnny Grunge is like 360 lbs these days, there is no need for him to show up.

Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted January 5, 2005 I knew I shouldn't have ruled out the fat guys of wrestling.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 Well if the Rumors hold that Heyman isn't even involved in the project, then the scale of how much of a success this WWE trademark piece of shit knock off ECW ppv thing is plummeting day by day.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted January 5, 2005 What are 2 Cold Scorpio, Mike Awesome, Jerry Lynn doing now? Scorpio's with NOAH I believe, and he did a show for ROH a few months back. No idea where Awesome is, but he's a shell of his former self, judging by his TNA work from a year or two ago. Lynn's an agent for TNA while he's recovering from a shoulder injury. Adam 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 Yeah, he got carried in ECW by guys like Tanaka and Taz, now he's getting carried by Kenta Kobashi in NOAH.
CBright7831 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2005 I'm somewhat disappointed Sandman won't be there. New Jack won't be back since stated in an interview that he would like to murder Paul Heyman, bring him back to life and murder him again. After leaving ECW in such turmoil, I don't think Mike Awesome will be at the PPV. And if Sabu really hates Paul, then all I have to say is "Fuck".
Scroby 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2005 I think its safe to say, to see the hardcore ECW fans go sour cause its under WWE management would pay for itself.
