SuperJerk Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 As reported, WWE definitely rushed to an ending in the Lita-Trish match due to Lita's injury after a botched Lou Thesz press. credit: lords of pain, via PWTorch.com and WrestlingObserver.com Okay, so now what? Hold off and hope she's okay by Mania for a rematch (meanwhile keeping her on screen), or push Victoria as the top contender?
JoeDirt Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Just scrap the women's division. They have four wrestlers left, and three without Lita.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Wait; she survives falling on her head few weeks ago and yet fucks her knee up on a thesz press?
AndrewTS Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Wait; she survives falling on her head few weeks ago and yet fucks her knee up on a thesz press? Austin may be gone, but his moves are kicking the crap out of the women wrestlers for him. Weird, weird, weird.
SuperJerk Posted January 10, 2005 Author Report Posted January 10, 2005 Wait; she survives falling on her head few weeks ago and yet fucks her knee up on a thesz press? She did it from the apron to the mat below the ring. You'll see 100,000,000 replays of it tomorrow on RAW.
JoeDirt Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 What I'd do: Triple threat match for the women's title tomorrow night on RAW. Trish, Molly, and Victoria. Trish wins. Bischoff comes out and says congrats. He tells her its the last women's title match and strips her of the belt because they don't have a big enough division. Trish, Molly, and Vickie start an alliance over the next few weeks. They say the women's division is gone because the stupid fans just wanted to see a pair of tits more than women's wrestling, so we have all the new divas signed who can't even wrestle. Maybe then they get behind a new wrestler, someone like Chris Masters, and serve as a PMS type heel group with him, helping him up the ranks.
Guest JMA Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Trish should just retire the belt on RAW. She's already beaten every other woman in the VERY small division.
Boon Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Wait a second folks, we're overlooking the most important thing, here. Lita's gone again!! Woohoo!!
SuperJerk Posted January 10, 2005 Author Report Posted January 10, 2005 I'd rather see them just hire some other women's wrestlers rather than retire the division. Face it folks: Jazz, Jacqueline, Nidia, and Gail Kim were fired because they couldn't get over. All of them sucked in the ring, and had no personalities. Hopefully they'll get some new women in there that have a chance of being folks the fans want to see.
Lil' Bitch Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Speaking of injuries, how long you guys think Eugene will be out? Will Regal have to vacate the belts or find a new partner?

Jazz lacked the agility to do anything but 1 power move and some restholds. I never understood what the people ever saw in her. Not that many people saw anything in her, since she couldn't get over. edit: plus she was injured all the damn time Edited January 10, 2005 by Y2Jerk

Jazz was somewhat over as the monster heel of the division, but she was injured constantly. I think that's the reason she was released. Jacqueline not getting over didn't stop them from employing her for, what, 6 years wasn't it? Nidia sucked in the ring and without her white trash character as Noble's valet, nobody gave a damn about her. They only kept her as long as they did because she had big breasts and she won TE.
SuperJerk Posted January 10, 2005 Author Report Posted January 10, 2005 ^I'd actually like to see Gail come back, now that you mention it.^ Jacqueline not getting over didn't stop them from employing her for, what, 6 years wasn't it? Its as if they finally wised up. This is around the same time they got rid of Billy Gunn, Albert, and Test.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Jazz had a personality. Jackie had a personality. Nidia had a personality on Smackdown! and did punk out Trish once or twice. Ok, you've got me on Gail. Gail Kim was good in the ring, but obviously needed more work on building a logical match. She along with the others was getting major experience working with Fit Finlay, and within six months could probably have consistantly produced good stuff. The women's division did put on a few good *** matches last year. That is something to be respected in a shitty WWE scene.
SuperJerk Posted January 10, 2005 Author Report Posted January 10, 2005 Jackie had a personality. A boring one, maybe.
razazteca Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Jacqueline's problem was that her breasts were too damn big for her small body.
Guest Ransome Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 How serious was Eugene's injury? To anyone who didn't have the privilege of watching the PPV (I watched, unfortunately), it's clear it was a legit injury. He was dressed in a 'Eugene Still Rules' shirt a la Hogan and logically should have finished with the Big Boot-Legdrop. Instead, he landed awkwardly a dropkick, everybody ran around confused for a few seconds and Eugene finished with a weak rollup. Referees carried him out afterwards.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 It was one-dimensional, but it was the personality.
CanadianChick Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Jacqueline's problem was that her breasts were too damn big for her small body. That, and well, she sucked. That revolt thing is a cool idea. Bring up some OVW women and we'd be set.

You think they sucked in the ring? You don't know wrestling. also Jazz and Jacquilline had very strong personalities. Gail Kim might have been a little bland, but not those other two.

strummer Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 The thing is that Trish has gone on record saying that she doesn't care if she does all T and A or if she's a legit wrestler. Trish is smart, she does whatever the company asks and never complains. The only exception was when she spoke up in those meetings about how House Shows should mean more. If they had a big female star fight for the divsion (Ie Trish), then it could be pushed properly. But Trish always defends the T and A aspect.
Eclipse Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 With that, I believe the Women's Division needs to be scrapped completely. Why keep 4 of the better women's wrestler, and fire all the useless ones? Those 4 or 5 left are gonna fight each other endlessly, and bore themselves. Either hire new and better workers, or don't have that division at all...
Guest sek69 Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 They should have Trish show up on Smackdown and throw the Women's title in the trash. Then she can do her T&A stuff in the proper environment and they can kill the Women's title in an appropriately self-referencial manner.
CanadianChick Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Guess they'd have to fire Molly then. All she can do is wrestle.
Guest JMA Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Guess they'd have to fire Molly then. All she can do is wrestle. I always thought Molly made a good valet for Savage in WCW and the Holly Cousins in WWE.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 You bet your ass she does; and deservedly so...
