HotD bombed, and just like HotD, this is a movie based on a video game that isn't even close to being hot now. AitD: TNN came out several years ago and slipped completely under most people's radars, Uwe Boll is well established as being a complete hack, and I think even Harry Knowles will likely pan this stinker. Hide and Seek for number one, with Alone... likely getting its ass kicked by Fockers. I hope.

You made the "Only black people see it" remark in jest, but in reality, it is quite entertaining to see the people that go to see those kinds of for-the-urban crowd movies, although I think this film has a broader appeal than to just "those people." Back when I worked at a theater, I so wanted our place to get "I got the hook up," but sadly The Man didn't give us the honor of showing that film MasterP-iece (Hey, I just did a funny, lol...)

And I am excited to see Alone In The Dark, simply because every website in the world seems to interview Uwe Boll, and he always says that Alone in the Dark will show him to not be a horrible director. If the film is at least a 5/10, I'll be satisfied, but I somehow doubt it.

The only thing that separates him from Ed Wood is a little more fame for this stage in his career, and Boll's movies aren't anywhere near as watchable. The writers include a guy that wrote the screenplay for "MVP2 (Most Vertical Primate)", and two complete newbies. It's optimistic to expect it to *only* suck huge, floppy donkey dick.
