Wrestlers with ridiculous/stupid real names.

Recommended Posts

Paul Levesque. Good blueblood name, but it just doesn't work for the badass personality he's tried to put forth the last few years.

Randy Poffo isn't too great either.

Oh yeah, DDP is Page Falkinberg. Gay and stupid.

heh...i remember on a REALLY old episode of the Daily Show he was on, and when Kilborn asked him what his real name was, and he said Page Falkenberg, Kilborn asked "Isn't that a woman's name?"

lilddp.jpg

Mom: "Page, get your ass in here before dinner gets cold!"

Kids: "Hahahahaha, yeah Page, you fag!"

DDP: "Aw Ma, can't I stay outside and creep people out with my face some more?"

Assuming it's his real name, I can't see why Bryan Danielson dropped American Dragon. Especially with a Christopher Daniels out on the indy market(by the way, why hasn't TNA or WWE brought Am Drag in?)

That's part of it. But look at an Impact show: most of the matches are three minutes, tops. AmDrag's neo-Regal mat wrestling wouldn't do well under those time constraints.

He grew up to look like a fucking Brock though. That being Venom's real name gives it a rather intimidating connotation.

I'm still unable to track down Homicide's real name.

Okay, not an insult, but when Lesnar was hitting the NCAA and High School scenes, exactly how many people associated his name as being the same as the real name as a Spider-Man villian?

Think of it this way, how many casual comic book fans know Magneto's real name? Or Green Goblin?

Ask a causal fan who Oswald Cobblepot is, or Edward Nygma?

In other words, don't assume that people will "Get the connection"

How much do you want to bet Brock Lesnar never heard of Venom and/or Eddie Brock

Could be worse though, Dennis Rodman did call Lex Luger "Luthor" once in a promo, though I wonder if that was really a slip up though as Hogan is always booked as a "Superman" type and since Lex was the guy he was feuding with at the time... Add to the fact that Rodman at the time was marketed with Jordan and Pippen as "Superman, Batman and RODMAN" (as opposed to Robin of course)

Steve

Wasn't Paul Bearer's real name, Percy Pringle? I cant remember if that was his birth name, or just one he used it on the indies, but thats the most fucking awesome name ever!

Paul Bearer's real name is William Moody. Percival Pringle III was his gimmick in World Class.

I wasn't exactly serious, you know. But then again, if Stan Lee or whoever thought it was a good enough name for Venom, it can't be all bad.

Nelson Erazo is indeed a pretty bad name for Homicide. I had heard, knowing it was too good to be true, that his name was Jeeves Goldenkranz. At least that sounds funny, Nelson Erazo just sounds like a dork.

On that note, Low Ki's real name is Brandon, severely betraying his image. I can't remember his last name.

Tammy Sytch should have legally married Candido so she could get rid of that dreadful last name. It's good for a wrestling heel goddess, but bad if she ever wanted to be, say...a 2nd grade teacher helping kids learn to rhyme. :P

I did know a third grade teacher named Mrs. Bassard.

Oh wait... Yeah, Frazier. I think TNA called him Nelson Knight during his 2 week run there, so thats probably where I got that from. I'll just call him the fat black guy who dressed in purple.

Robert Horne is actually Mo.

Other names:

- Mark Magnus doesn't exactly scream "rebelling Arab-American".

- Baldo-Train. 'Matt Bloom' would've been eons better.

- Mark Canterbury. The former Henry Godwinn was actually pushed under that name for a short while.

- Mikey McGuirk. I never imagined a woman with that kind of name.

Uliuli Fifita

The man so nice they named him twice!

Hell, Haku's real name could be Pansy McFaggot and it wouldn't matter.

Would YOU say anything about it?

Actually I think Uliuli Fifita is a pretty cool name. I've seen some interesting Tongan names, he could have had a lot worse.

Shannon Moore.

No guy should have the name Shannon. I hate it when parents name guys with names like that. Do they not think they'll get picked on?

I think it suits him. Especially when he was in the boy band named 3 count.
