Matt Young Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Tonight at 10:30 EST/7:30 PST (only a few minutes away!) the second season of the Ashlee Simpson show premieres on MTV. Last season's 8 episodes chronicled the journey of Ashlee creating her album from songwriting to commercial release, and this season will feature everything that's happened since then- including the infamous SNL incident. Be sure to tune in or risk killing yourself out of regret.
bob_barron Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Canada is still on Season 1. I watch it and then want bad things to happen to her.
Banter Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 So why watch it? I can't stand seeing her on my tv. She's an ugly, talentless hack that has no right being famous. Fuck her and her brainless 14 year old girl fanbase.
bob_barron Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 I'll sometimes watch a few minutes and then change the channel
UZI Suicide Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Is it really going to have stuff about the SNL incident? From all the commercials I've seen for the new season they haven't shown anything about it, so I figured they're trying to sweep it under the rug.
Matt Young Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 Yeah, they've mentioned it on several commercials that I've seen as well as the intro to tonight's premiere.
Banter Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Matt is a strange name for a girl. Is there a special meaning to it?
GreatWhiteNope Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 They're showing her backstage at SNL coming up. Funny thing is she has her pants low and they have to censor her asscrack in every shot.
Matt Young Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 Oh, you're so witty. Haha, I described you as witty. That must make me witty, too. Anyway, they're showing Ashlee's rehearsals for SNL now. I guess those of you who want to hear about the incident should tune in now.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Oh, you're so witty. Haha, I described you as witty. That must make me witty, too. Before this man got castrated by marrage, Witty Banter would've owned you. Now he's married...and mature...and such. I love Witty Banter.
Matt Young Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 That's why I expected better. But I really don't want this thread to turn into something making fun of me for liking Ashlee. If you want to diss the show, at least that pertains to the topic.
GreatWhiteNope Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 We'll show the SNL fallout...but not before Ashlee goes shopping! I'm wondering why it's on at 10:30. Maybe she breaks down and starts doing lines of coke or something.
Matt Young Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 Ashlee's bassist stole Mark Hoppus' badass pink bass.
Matt Young Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 Ah, a cliffhanger ending. Boo.
GreatWhiteNope Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Why do I have a feeling those hotel parts were all shot after the SNL gaffe for damage-control purposes? "Gee, my voice hurts today" "Gee, I'm stressed"
bob_barron Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 I hope nothing bad happens when she performs on SNL.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 That's why I expected better. But I really don't want this thread to turn into something making fun of me for liking Ashlee. If you want to diss the show, at least that pertains to the topic. What do you expect? She's the biggest no talent on TV. She's forced down our throats on both SNL and the Rose Bowl. She deserves everythign she gets, and you deserve everything you get for having no taste.
Mole Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Banky I heart you. But I also heart Ashlee.
NoCalMike Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 To bad this show was probably done taping before the Rose Bowl incident. I mean how would they explain that "oh, boys will be boys, hehehehe" ? I only saw the commercials for this, and I can pretty much guarantee all the majority of the "hotel scenes" were taped after the SNL show, just for damage control as earlier suggested. Everyone be sure to stop at www.stopashlee.com
justsoyouknow Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Crucify me if you want, but I think that Ashlee is pretty damn hot. She dresses like a retard, but when she's dressed normally on her show she's gorgeous. She's a shitty artist, though.
Jobber of the Week Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 So, I wonder which excuse revisionist history will go with here? The band playing the wrong song, acid reflux, or "it's just a backup track and everybody is doing it?" I can picture Ashley putting on a blindfold and throwing a dart of a board labeled with all her excuses. Someone, please turn off the camera so this gal can fade into obscurity and tell the people at the kitschy 50's diner she winds up working at that she used to be famous once.
Guest netslob Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 She's the biggest no talent on TV. uuuhhh, excuse me....
1234-5678 Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 She's the biggest no talent on TV. uuuhhh, excuse me.... That's hot.
Guest netslob Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 that's actually the best picture i've ever seen of either of them...ahh, the miracle of air-brushes.
Jericholic82 Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 not that I am sticking up for anyone but.. its ironic how one mistake like this and you have a lynch mob trying to crucify a singer, but the president can get us into a catastrophe of a war effort and still get reelected. funny country we live in god bless america anyhow I wont hate on this show that much, since I dont watch. yet somehow I managed to watch it and amercian idol and simple liufe all in one night. must have been bored however watching a man with a funny accent chasing after two girls stealing a cop car is funnier than alot of stuff thats been on tv lately sadly
bob_barron Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 you need to stop posting like this since it's annoying to read. And comparing Ashlee Simpson to President Bush is a pretty stupid comparison to make
Special K Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Regarding her 'one mistake'. They say when you get busted for drunk driving, it's probably not the first time. Milli Vanilli only made one mistake too. And bringing the war up smacks of trolling.

I mean, I haven't seen the SNL debacle at all, and only caught about 10 seconds of the Bowl halftime show on the news a few days later ... it's not like either were hard to avoid.
Jericholic82 Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 you need to stop posting like this since it's annoying to read. And comparing Ashlee Simpson to President Bush is a pretty stupid comparison to make sorry about posting like that I didn't mean to but I kept coming up with new lines when I went to hit add reply. as for the bush comparsion I was only having a little fun there so whatever. My point is the media reacts to stuff like the snl debacle or the brad/jen split as if its bigger news than anything else, especially when we are losing young men and women every day. I just am sick with our obssesion with celebrities that's all And sick of every quasi famous person getting their own reality show.
