I've read on another forum that Hogan is worth $400 million. This one Hogan mark says at one time he might have had $600 million in the bank. I know Hogan's filthy rich, but is this true? I didn't think he was that rich. That's approaching Vince McMahon territory, isn't it?

Well, unless Hogan has said something in an interview, no one really knows and even then we don't know. Hogan is known for exaggerating so I wouldn't even take his word for it. I don't have access to Hulk Hogan's bank books so obviously, I don't know for sure.

Yep, no way Hogan has that much money. I'm sure he probably is worth a fortune, but I'm thinking more in the $30-$40 million range than hundreds of millions. In his heyday, Hogan probably made a couple of mil a year or more, and with movies and such, I'm sure he's done quite well.

Hogan's last deal was for $600,000 per PPV, plus 25% of the company gross. He would also get a bonus if his percentage of the gross was over his $600,000 guarantee. He also got $25,000 per tv appearance.

That's a huge chunk of money, and I know Hogan's been in the wrestling business for over twenty years, but I still can't see Hogan having $400 million-600 million. That is an insane figure.

I would venture to say that he's got about 50 million dollars MAX.

 

He's probably the only person in the wrestling industry right now (with the exception of the Rock after his next few movie checks) who can probably start his own promotion by himself, but why would he want to spend money when he can appear on everyone else's shows and make so much more? And seeing how this is Hulk Hogan that we're talking about here, it's not a promotion that would EVER work anyway. That's why he'll never do it.

Hogan, during his prime WWF run, was making 5-7 million annually, with 1-2 million dollar payoffs for mania alone. Times that by 10, and he made over 50 million during his first WWF run alone. He reportedly made about 5 million a year in WCW, times that by 6 and you have another 30 million. Plus all the endorsements, television shows and movies, add on another 20-30 million. If he just invested wisely, without taking risks, he should be worth around 150-200 million dollars.

Yeah, in Flair's book he said he had a conversation with Hulk and Hogan said he had 20 mil in the bank.

 

Adding up the total of the money he earned in his career is misleading in that taxes would have chewed up roughly half of it and he spent a ton of it on his French Villa in Tampa and other stuff. That notwithstanding he is a very wealthy man who I doubt will be missing any meals. Plus if he ever gets hard up (by say wasting money promoting his daughter's singing career) Vince will bring him back if he agrees to do jobs.

So he had 50 mil in 1995, pre NWO where he helped set off a new boom period.... we can assume he made another 10-15 million prior to 2000, then another 800,000 in 01 from Vince....(If i recall the contract right)
