Has the Undertaker ever put anyone over cleanly?

Brock Lesnar - No Mercy 2002

If you can think of two wrestlers Undertaker has put over clean, though, why start a topic?

Anglesault used to argue till the end of time that the Austin win doesn't count since he kicked him in the balls.

When did he put over Mankind cleanly? Bearer interfered in both wins

Taker put over Lesnar huge in that HIAC match, shame he didn't do it in their first encounter, but he really made up for it in that match.

Up until Eddy Guerrero's insane bladejob in his match against JBL from last summer, the juicing that Taker did in the HIAC match was far and away my favorite ever. Taker was pouring blood after the shot he took from the ring steps. For those who for some reason havent seen it, Brock hit Taker in the forehead with the corner of the ring steps. I dont know if the juice that followed was because of a blade job, or the steps. Taker seemed to have a hole, punched into his forehead. The blood was squirting out of his head, and pouring down his face, and onto the ring mat, with no signs of stopping. I was seriously worried that I was about to see a man bleed to death.

I actually think Brock/Taker was WWE MOTY for 2002. I liked it better than any of the Smackdown tags, the No Mercy tag, HBK/HHH from Summerslam or any of the other heralded matches from that year.

Austin at SummerSlam 98

Austin on RAW day after KOTR 99

Brock at No Mercy 02

that's it as far as i remember.

Mankind - err, no. when you lose by Paul Bearer smacking you in the head with the urn, that's not clean.

I remember 'Taker also putting over rising star Rock clean as a sheet in late 1998 when Austin and Rock teamed against 'Taker and Kane. He also put Test over cleanly in an 8-man tag on RAW in July of 2002.

HBK/HHH wasn't even the best match at SummerSlam that year. If anything comes to close to Brock/Taker from that card, it might be Eddie/Edge, Benoit/RVD or Rock/Brock.

It was Rock/Mankind/Shamrock v. BOD

Re Summerslam 1998:

If Austin kicked/punched him in the balls, I wouldn't count it. If he dropped UT crotch first onto the ropes, that's a legal move.

Mankind does hold more than one victory over The Undertaker. IIRC, he still has the most victories over The Deadman out of anyone in the WWE.

he punched him as he was coming down from his ooooooold schooooool move.

if you want to count it, he was pinned cleanly after a Chokeslam from Kane in the Four-Way Tag Team match before Summerslam 98.

WWF @ Worcester, MA - Centrum - July 29, 1991

WWF Superstars taping:

WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan pinned the Undertaker with a roll up after Taker accidentally hit Paul Bearer on the apron

He also lost to Warrior and Savage via pinfall in 91 but I don't know how clean they were.

WWF @ Lake Placid, NY - June 16, 1997 (2,773)

Raw is War:

Farooq & Kama (w/ D-Lo Brown) defeated WWF World Champion the Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) & Ahmed Johnson when Kama pinned the Undertaker at 6:07 after Ahmed refused to tag in to his partner, allowing the Undertaker to fall victim to a pinfall; after the bout, Ahmed hit the Pearl River Plunge on Taker before joining the NOD on the stage and raising his fist in solidarty; prior to the bout, Farooq stated that two new NOD members would be introduced; Kama was the first, Ahmed the second; during the bout, the commentary team pondered who would be the second choice and listed the Junkyard Dog, Abdullah the Butcher, Mr. Hughes, and Butch Reed as possibilities

WWF @ Omaha, NE - Civic Auditorium - August 10, 1998

Raw is War:

Kane & Mankind defeated Billy Gunn & the Road Dogg, WWF IC Champion the Rock & WWF European Champion D-Lo Brown (sub. for Owen Hart), & WWF Tag Team Champions Steve Austin & the Undertaker in a four corners match to win the titles when Kane pinned the Undertaker

The previously mentioned 3 on 2 handicap match.

Insurrextion 02 - London, England - Wembley Arena - May 4, 2002 (9,308; sell out)

Triple H pinned the Undertaker at 14:31 by hitting a kneelift as Taker ran the ropes and following with the Pedigree

KOTR 96, match ended by Bearer accidentally hitting Taker with the urn. that's not clean.

SummerSlam 96, match ended by Bearer deliberately hitting Taker with the urn and turning heel. that's not clean either.

when else did Mankind beat Taker, besides house shows? didn't they have a buried alive match? how did that end?

there's no way that counts as clean. it was during the cahoots angle, and Kane chokeslammed Taker, and pinned him, but immediately after the 3-count Taker sat up and walked off.

This was the match where the ropes broke and HHH and Taker had to improvise the whole match on the fly, it's not bad considering that.....

Re: the cell match with Brock.

The 'Take had a broken hand. So not really clean, as whether the hand was legit or not it gives the "well he would've won if he hadn't got that hand injury."

good thing they didnt show that on tv, would have ruined the build for Survivor Series lol actually I might have seen that match. My cousin had a wwf video that was the best of hogan and it had hogan vs shiek(first wwf title), hogan vs andre wm 3, hogan vs savage wm5, hogan vs sarge wm 7, and a hogan vs taker match where hogan was the champ but he beat taker. wonder if thats the match, or maybe they did several matches like that

if Brock had won with a chairshot to the hand or something then you could say their were other circumstances, but he went over with the F-5 and no outside interference. that's as clean as can be in my book.

and austin didn't kick taker in the nuts at summerslam 98 did he?,I seem to recall that he crotched him on the turnbuckle as he went for the ropewalk/old school move, as we have seen, besides Jericho vs Edge on Raw last august, crotching someone on the turnbuckle doesnt count as a dq, so its a legal, clean move. and besides it was the stunner that beat him.

and as for his first mankind match, technically the mandible claw won the match and the announcers always mentioned that mankind had more wins over taker than anyone, despite the fact that he had only two televised wins over him kotr 96 and summerslam 96 which was a grab the urn stipulation in the boiler room brawl

since then-notable mankind/taker matches on TV

Buried Alive IYH 1996-Taker beats Mankind in a Buried Alive Match

Survivor Series 1996-Taker beats Mankind

RAW November/Dec 1996-Taker pins Mankind in a No Holds Barred Match

Revenge of The Taker IYH 1997-WWf champion Taker pins Mankind

KOTR 1998-Taker pins Mankind in a Hell in A Cell Match

Raw July 6, 1998 Taker (dressed as Kane) pins Mankind to become the #1 contender

Sunday Night Heat August 1998-Taker pins Mankind

I've seen him taking off the mask, but nothing else. Were people actually supposed to believe it was Kane? They really don't look much alike besides being of similar height.

Beating a guy who has no use of a hand is not clean.

Yeah, but keep in mind that, at the time, Kane wore a suit that covered his whole body outside of his left(?) arm.

Taker wore a Kane suit that covered that too, so you could tell something was amiss, but considering he was completely covered, it wasn't that bad. It doesn't matter what you look like when you have a mask on.

Didn't Taker use that hand anyway?
