Frankie Kazarian gave TNA management notice yesterday at the Impact! tapings that he was finishing with the promotion. According to one source, Kazarian's contract actually expired late last year and he was never asked to sign new paperwork, so he was working without a deal. Kazarian was a former co-holder of the X-Division championship with tag team partner Michael Shane. I don't have any word on how this affects Shane's status with TNA, if at all...

Prediction: Michael Shane is going to be a challenger soon for the X-Division Title. This could be good, or could be bad. If he goes back to the formula he worked in 2003, I don't think it will pretty, but if he stays with his recent improvement, it could be alright.

Well, when you lose a match to Jeff Hammond....

seriously.

That was just smart booking by TNA.

Yeah, when you have to put over nascar drivers, they're probably trying to drop a hint

He wasn't even a NASCAR driver....he's a freaking retired crew chief and NASCAR analyst!

Pwinsider reports that he's claiming to have a WWE offer on the table. Which means that this is another Abyss type situation.

HE'S NOT A FUCKING WRESTLER!

I don't care if he licks the balls of jockies before a big race, He DOESN'T Wrestle.

It's funny how a year or two ago Frankie just sucked balls and people wanted him out.

He really has been improving and I thought a run with him and Shane as champs would've been good. Oh well...good luck to him in TNA and maybe Shane can go back to the X division and keep wrestling well.

So what are the odds of him becoming the WWEs next Jobberweight....er I mean Crusierweight?

Not too good... if WWE wanted him, they had a chance to sign him before Kazarian signed a TNA contract.

Oh well Im not going to complain about it, they wouldnt use him right anyways.

Unless he debuts on Velocity in two weeks and works OVW for a year after that...

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasnt Kazarian already in OVW for like two years?

He'd be retarded to go back there unless he was gauranteed a spot on SD or RAW, which is never going to happen.

Frankie has the 'look' WWE could go for, but he'd likely be put in some shitty gimmick. Razor Ramon II? Razor Ramon II vs 8-9-10 Kidd(Paul London) in a Ladder Title match! BOOK IT -- It writes itself!

Speaking of 1-2-3 Kidd, I found some amusing info from an interview with him. No OVW for him, but he did team with Nova to win a few belts and did some Zero-One tag action.

Alan Wojcik: According to your bio you are from California but there are some discrepancies as to where in the state you were born. Could you clear it up please?

Frankie Kazarian: I am from a small town called Yucca Valley its out in the desert near Palm Springs. I'm sure you'll ask this next so I will say I was a fan of Tito Santana, Ricky Steamboat and of course Hulk Hogan. As I got older and understood wrestling better I got into 1,2,3 Kid (Sean Waltman), Bret Hart, Owen Hart and Shawn Michaels. Guys that were smaller in size with exceptional work rates.

TNA dropped the ball here - if they would have at least had him on contract they could have worked a feud with him and Shane before he left. He was on one of the few teams in the company that didnt reach anywhere near their peak yet although they were slowly building them. Unless Rhodes made it clear to them that he wasnt going to do anything with him, I'm really surprised he left to be honest. They had a great thing going, regardless of having to put over Hammond last ppv.

He was in UPW, but I don't know if he was ever under WWE development contract. I think Kazarian is one of the few cruiserweights out there who WWE would at least get behind a LITTLE.

And I've never got the hate for his initial TNA work. He had some pretty sweet matches with Chris Sabin, and that was basically it. The only bad match I remember him in was the AJ Styles world title match, which was just a big disaster that I wouldn't blame on the guys (too much) involved. His X-Cup match with Sabin was boss, even if it was only 7 minutes or so, the original non-title match was really, really good, and the other, shorter, matches that they had were a lot of fun. He looked decent in all the multi-man matches that he was in, as well. So.... what's with the hate?

OK. Here it goes. The fact of the matter is that I am in fact no longer with TNA wrestling. I had been wrestling without a contract since last year, and I made the decision to end my partnership with the company, and pursue other opportunities in the world of professional wrestling. I cannot stress enough that this was MY decision, and no ones fault. Sometimes we reach points in our personal and professional lives that we must make decisions that hurt a great deal, and this has been one of them.

I want to thank everyone involved in TNA. From day one I was always treated with respect and class. I have had the most fun in my career these past Two years with TNA. I want to also thank Dixie Carter, a truly classy woman, and someone I consider a good friend and an even better person. Jerry and Jeff Jarrett gave me a platform to do what it is I love on a national level, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I thank them for having the confidence in me to represent their company as a champion on Two different occasion. Everyone in the office, Bob Ryder, Tim Welch, Bill Banks, Scott Hudson, Jeremy Borash, the amazing announcing duo of Mike Tenay and Don West, I consider terrific people, and very good friends. Dave Sahadi in production, an old pal of mine, is one of the most talented people I have met, and I will miss you a lot. The agents, Jerry Lynn, Terry Taylor, Scott D’amore, Shane Douglas, and Dutch Mantel are the most knowledgeable , and helpful people I have been around in wrestling, and what I have learned from all of them has be invaluable. I thank them all and will miss them a great deal.

All of the boys, and girls in the locker room. What can I say? You are ALL my family, and I love each an every one of you from the bottom of my heart. You are such an incredibly talented group of professionals, and have given me memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. You are not co-workers, you are all my friends. I thank you for all the matches, the good times and the bad. We are all in this together, living out the same dream we all had as young children. It really is an honor for me to say I got to be in a company with you all. I am a better person for knowing all of you. The friendships I have forged in TNA mean more to me then anything. It is with a heavy heart, that I say goodbye.

I cannot thank you, the fans enough for your outpouring of support. I thank each and every one of you. This has been overwhelming to me, and the last 36 hours have been difficult. I ask that you all please continue to support TNA wrestling, and all of Pro wrestling in general. You are the reason we as professional wrestlers are here. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and God bless.

I still think that, so this is good news to me. He doesn't bring anything to the table. He doesn't really seem to be improving, and his look in terrible.

I seriously don't believe that WWE would be interested in him. He's not really big, and he's not really a good worker. He'd look bad on Velocity and Heat.

I have no ill will towards the man but as far as professional wrestling in concerned, he doesn't bring anything to the table that a wrestler like Konnan or Bobby Roode can't provide.

I tuned into Impact a few weeks ago since there was nothing on TV and found the whole promotion to be fabulous. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw actual wrestling on a wrestling program. One of the characters I gravitated towards immediately was Frankie Kazarian. Then a couple days ago CWM told me "He's headed to the WWE..." when I brought up my watching of this now and liking Kazarian. I expect WWE to ruin him worse than they did Nova.

I hope he makes it to WWE tv, then he would be the second guy I used to see in my local indies to make it to the big time after "Jesus" Aaron "Hardkore Kidd" Aguilera (well actually Frankie he was on jakked once in a tag match vs Kaientai back in 01)
