Jingus Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 I'm running a film series and I'd like to do it on violence/religion. I'm looking to the Smarks for movie suggestions. Could you specify what you mean a bit? Are you asking us to name films that feature both violence & religion, or what?
2GOLD Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Wasn't "The Omen" a violent little movie? Or was it just boring? And if you want Religion meets violence, look no further than the horrible "The Omega Code 2". Course you won't win any friends with that unless you know lots of people who like to make fun of really badly done movies, religion be damned.

I want to show these films, and I would very much appreciate suggestions for movies that have violence w/ religious ties.

SinToxic Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Donnie Darko, although not violent it shows an incident of religion and child pornography.
The Amazing Rando Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 I wouldn't count Donnie Darko, even if it is based on the Last Temptation of Christ. I would count The Village though. Retard stabbing and all of that. While it isn't religious in the normal sense, the village itself is based on a system of beliefs.
