Styles Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Can't wait. Go Wizards! Gilbert's gonna clean up in the skill's challenge too.
Vern Gagne Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 I thought that said Got MILF? Rooke Challenge West,Sophmores, Phoenix, Arenas, Allen, and J.R. Smith will be your winners.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 The Rookie/Sophmore game is just ridiculously lopsided. The Sophs can put Kirk Hinrich, Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Carmello Anthony and Chris Bosh out there as their starting line up with Luke Ridnour, and Kyle Korver and a few other solid guys backing them up. That just ain't fair. The rookies are gonna be without Okafor, so I'd assume they'd go with Ben Gordon, Tony Allen, Luol Deng, Igoudala/Smith and Dwight Howard as their starting line up. Final score will be Rookies 115 - Sophomore's 139 or some unGodly number. Gimme Phoenix in the Shooting Stars challenge, they get Taurasi, Marion and Majerle and they have the hardest last names to spell, so they win. Boykins on the Skills challenge. He'll have an easier time hitting the bounce pass into the basket I'd say. Kyle Korver all the way on the 3 point shootout. I dunno who to go with on the dunk contest, all of those guys are more "throw it down over the top of someone" than midflight creativity. I think Jason Richardson pushed the difficulty level as far as it can go too, so I'm not much into it. Give me Josh Smith though.
hhh6294 Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Hoiberg should be in the 3 point challenge... best long ball shooter in the league atm.
Precious Roy Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 LeBron won't play on the Sophomore team IMO. I think it'll be closer than people are predicting, but if Okafor sits out then maybe not.... - LA (but Phoenix will be tough, it's really a toss up...) - Korver - Ridnour - Josh Smith
Shanghai Kid Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 I guarantee victory for Arenas in the Skills challenge. Lebron will be MVP of the All-Star game, this will be basically a showcase of his passing skills. Give me Korver for the 3-point contest. Josh Smith will take the Dunk Contest easy.
Ripper Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Boykins taking that shit yo. Dunk Contest...who the fuck knows. i don't care. The greatest dunker of all time isn't there so I could give two shits. I will take Korver for the 3 point contest too. phoenix in the shootout thingy
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 I for one am thankful for the All-Star break at the moment. Too many injuries.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 This Celebrity Game is shit.
razazteca Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 The Celebrity Game needs to use the MTV rules and gimmicks to make it entertaining.
Precious Roy Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Well, LeBron is playing, fuck me. Sophomores gonna own this shit.
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 I'm pretty pumped about watching it, but I wonder how much defense there will be in this year's rookie game. Actually, the sophmores looks so dominant, I don't even think the rookies will be able to play D if they tried.
Precious Roy Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Hopefully, NO defense, except for steals and blocks. It's an exhibition, nobody wants to see guys shuffling their feet and banging for position
Guest LooneyTune Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 So far, all the FG attempts that aren't slam dunks have missed badly tonight. Still a couple of cool dunks though. (curses NBA for no Okafor playing) damn injuries...
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Shaq looks pimpin' and Lebron is just nasty.
Precious Roy Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 LeBron is so much better than everyone else, it's rediculous
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Not Ben Gordon! He just crossed him over!
Precious Roy Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Not Ben Gordon! I'ma quote you on that in 20 years
Brett Favre Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 The ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKIES are killing. They'll win by 10+ if Wade and LeBron continue to not play.
Brett Favre Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 I don't like Tony Allen. If it weren't for him, Trevor Ariza would be dunking right now.
Precious Roy Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Brett Favre Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 No wonder LeBron isn't in the dunk contest. And Udrih has to throw that down.
Brett Favre Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 That would have been the alley oop of the year.
KingPK Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 The Celebrity Game needs to use the MTV rules and gimmicks to make it entertaining. If there was one thing MTV did well, it was the Rock N' Jock games. The softball and basketball ones especially (I never really liked the football ones). I mean these aren't highly trained athletes and this isn't serious, so jazz it up a bit.
alfdogg Posted February 19, 2005 Author Report Posted February 19, 2005 Did Sager just call him "Kamala"?
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Is it coincidence, or does Charles Barkley always lose his voice during all-star weekend?
Brett Favre Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Yeah he always does. He didn't mention why though, when he was asked on PTI.
alfdogg Posted February 19, 2005 Author Report Posted February 19, 2005 Yeah, he did a couple years ago, too. I guess because of being out partying so much, at least according to Kenny Smith.
