Guest Mosaicv2 Report post Posted February 20, 2005 I can't find any other explantation about it, it's like their drugged-up folks on a George Steinbreiner's pill or something. Just one mention of Boston or mostly the Red Sox makes them act like wild-animals. Aren't they any normal friggin' people who like the Yankees that can have a decent conversation with... without bitchin' about the damn RED SOX... jeez... just grow up. Sure, im a Mets fan, but I don't constanly go crazy when someone mentions the Sox. Normal Yankees fans on the board talk to me please... without losing it. Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2005 Red Sox go crazy when you mention A-Rod. But no, you must be talking to bandwagoners, or people who just started watching this past year. Everytime I talk to Met fans, they insult the Yankees and start talking about everyone on the team taking steriods.

Jingus 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2005 I hate yankees who bitch about their various sports teams. Down here in Nashville, we have the Nashville Sounds playing at Greer Stadium, providing YOU with the finest AAAction your measely Tennessee money can buy. Of course, they never actually have a winning season, hell they rarely win a game period. Why do you think we exploded into the most insane football fanbase in history within one year? Nashvillians have been getting shafted by big-league sports for our entire lives. Shit, our teams sucked so bad even friggin NWA-TNA was a big deal around here. Mole 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2005 It really isn't that bad. I go to school in Long Island and I rock my BoSox hat everywhere. I never get any shit then the usual "Take that fuckin hat off." I just pick it up, straighten it, and put it right back on. BoSox fans are worse.

Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2005 The Yankee fans down here in Tennessee aren't threatning or anything, but they're still annoying. But there are an awful lot of Boston and Yankee fans down here. I was sitting in my college library and looked around. Including myself in a small library, I counted 4 Yankee hats, 3 Red Sox, and Cardinals hat. This was out of about 10 people in the library. Baseball is pretty big around here. The only time I ever had a problem with a Yankee fan was one who had a poster of Derek Jeter on his locker. It said "WINNER" at the bottom in big letters. Someone crossed it out and wrote loser in its place. And since I was the most vocal Red Sox fan.... I was the lead suspect. He got pissed off and shit, but we found who did it. I've never had any yankee fans rip off my Boston hat or anything like that. I really hate the Yankees. And damn NY for being so close to Baltimore that 1/2 of Camden Yards in Yankees fans whenever the Yankees play the Orioles. Have you seen a Devil Rays game when the Yankees are in town? 3/4 of the crowd is pro-Yankees!

Cartman 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2005 Same with Boston. Tampa and Toronto are like home games for Boston too. My father is a classy Yankee fan. We have good discussions about baseball all the time I'm not a Yankee hater by any means...but I DO hate Derek jeter and Arod with a passion...just something about their look irritates me. Great player(jeter) but arrogant looking as fuck.

Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2005 I've been a Yankees fan all my life, and I come from NE. It's the bandwagoners or the "cool people" who walk around saying shit about the other teams. Granted I do hate the teams from around here (minus the Celtics), but I don't go out of my way to make note of it, unless it's in jest with friends.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2005 I read a thing the other day that the Red Sox are getting more attention in NYC than the Mets are lately ... which is funny, because for YEARS the Yankees fans claimed that it wasn't a rivalry because NY didn't care about Boston one way or another. Personally, I think all the lunatic supporters of both teams should get shipped off to some desert island to just fuck each other up, a la Battle Royale. Let the normal fans support their teams in peace.

Banter 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2005 Most of the people in my office came up from Long Island. Only a few were loud, obnoxious Yankee fans but they were annoying enough. Last years ALCS was awesome. They were coming down on me hardcore for the first 3 games. After game seven you would think there mother died or something. It was like a funeral. I sat there proudly, with Sox stuff all over my desk with a huge smilke on my face.
