Matt Young Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I marked out hard for that. I can still get a ticket to the induction ceremony in Hollywood for $55, so I definitely need to go now. It'd be worth it just for Hogan and Piper's speeches.
Art Sandusky Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I'm just glad they used "Real American."
Styles Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Did anyone notice that it's HULK Hogan again? Did they work out a deal with Marvel Comics?
claydude14 Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Come on now they NEED Mr. T in the celebrity wing.
Styles Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Come on now they NEED Mr. T in the celebrity wing. That would seem perfect if they wanted to do the celebrity thing every year. They'd have the entire WMI crew...
razazteca Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I bet Hogan only agreed to this to get his daughter Brooke to sing at Wrestlemania.
Matt Young Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I'd agree to that only if she could do a number with the Hogans' three French hens.
Angles Broken Fricken Neck Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 hogans going over triple h or JBL cause "Batista or Cena isnt ready" ala WM 9 im calling it now.
iliketurtles Posted March 1, 2005 Author Report Posted March 1, 2005 Obviously they had to do a deal with MARVEL. And Mr. T NEEDS to fucking get in. Like, now.
natey2k4 Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 hogans going over triple h or JBL cause "Batista or Cena isnt ready" ala WM 9 im calling it now. AWESOME.. hahaha... if that goes down.. I'd die of laughter...
bradolson Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I bet Hogan only agreed to this to get his daughter Brooke to sing at Wrestlemania. I bet that was part of it. He's using whatever celebrity fame he has left to get his daughter's career off the ground. He seems to show up at every award show with her.
Slickster Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 And having Brooke sing the national anthem at an LA event could provide her the media attention she/Hulk seek.
Guest JMA Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I'm really glad Hogan is being inducted into the Hall of Fame. As far as I'm concerned, Hogan and Piper being inducted really makes the whole concept much more legit. Here's hoping that they can induct a big star every year.
Slickster Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Do you think they will go wuth Mr. T? I agree he is more appropriate, but Wouldn't they get MUCH more mainstream attention if they went with Muhammad Ali? Would he agree to it? Discuss! Meh, Mr. T wrestled in the main event of TWO WrestleManias and he also competed at a Starrcade. He definitely needs to go in. I'm predicting Foley for 2006, BTW.
Lil' Bitch Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I'm glad Hogan is in, but I'm kinda hoping there's one more match left in him. Against Stone Cold for the love of God!!!
MARTYEWR Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Did anyone notice that it's HULK Hogan again? Did they work out a deal with Marvel Comics? Considering they said "Hulk" about 20 times, I'm guessing so.
CanadianChris Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Did anyone notice that it's HULK Hogan again? Did they work out a deal with Marvel Comics? Considering they said "Hulk" about 20 times, I'm guessing so. It's still Hollywood Hogan on the website for some reason.
jester Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Did anyone notice that it's HULK Hogan again? Did they work out a deal with Marvel Comics? Considering they said "Hulk" about 20 times, I'm guessing so. Don't be so sure. WWE has a long history of using things they're not entitled to. This might be their way of forcing the issue. Remember why they're called WWE and not WWF?

I've found no reports on the web of them settling with Marvel or anything, so you may be right.
ChrisMWaters Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Is it wrong for me to want to see Hogan and Austin have a segment ala Heenan and Okerlund at last year's Mania at this year's Mania? Except without Moolah and Mae? EDIT: Speaking of "Mean" Gene...shouldn't he really be inducted? I mean, I thought that was mentioned last year that he should be inducted in the Confidential "Behind the Scenes" thing...
CBright7831 Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 That's strange. On the HOF site, he's called "Hollywood Hogan" instead of "Hulk Hogan". http://www.wwe.com/superstars/halloffame/hogan/profile.jsp
Guest netslob Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 as much as i don't like Hogan on alot of levels, i will concede he does deserve a place in the HOF, so huzzah. it's not like i'm getting the PPV anyway.
