Things in wrestling that were never explained

Recommended Posts

Isn't Raven's career marked by a few things like that? The Tori-Ninja, the Piper picture, etc.

Of course, it will never be explained: Why do wrestlers keep running when they're irish whipped? How come I ever thought wrestling wasn't a work? Oh yeah, I was 10 when I started watching it.

well Tori was revealed as the ninja so at least we had closure.

Bischoff ran over Hogan with the hummer on nitro therby implying it was him (this made sense as in 99 when the angle first happened, Bischoff was acting like a face, so It made sense that he was in cahoots with savage)

why was sandman at ravens house as his "good friend James" and later appeared on tv as Hak with no mention of the vignettes?

We still don't know how Flair got unburied at havoc 99 when the filthy animals beat him up and buried him in dirt (i think, im kindy sketchy on what happened but somethin to that effect)

Who left the note for Booker T?

Can anyone refresh my memory of this? I slightly remember it, but I've totally forgotten when it happened.

Not much of a refresh, but he just walked into the lockerroom, and found a note that said "I remember". I believe it was meant to lead to he and Goldust reuniting, but I think Goldust was released soon after.

Maybe it was supposed to be Davey Boy Smith, who was helping out HHH at the time.

On this one episode of Raw, Mankind was fighting someone in the boiler room and got hit by a pipe and they never revealed who it was.

I think that was the British Bulldog, and it was an episode of Smackdown.

That was a pretty fun, but weird episode. Triple H wrestling 5 matches (yeah... he was hogging TV Time in 1999 too), wrestling...

Big Show in a Chokeslam Match

Kane in an Inferno Match

The Undertaker (substituted by Mideon/Viscera) in a Casket Match

Mankind in a Boiler Room Brawl

The Rock in... I guess a Strap Match, or maybe just Special Referee (with Bulldog as the referee who helps HHH win)

HHH had to win 3 of the 5 matches to get his spot in the 6-pack challenge at Unforgiven thanks to the vacancy of the World Title from... youknowwho.

HHH/Rock was a bull rope match. Which was built up as a big advantage for Rock, despite never having been in such a match and his only connection to bulls were his tatoo and the nickname.

Smells like Vince Russo. I think Rocky had 1 strap match, which was also vs. Triple H, and was on the 1999 Fully Loaded. He lost thanks to King Ass, which set up the awesome Kiss My Ass Match at Summerslam.

Here is an obscure one. In mid-98 or so, the nWo kept saving Jericho. The commentators would put forth questions as to why but nothing ever came of it.

Soon after Jericho was WWF bound and got buried the rest of his time in WCW, end of angle and see ya as Y2J

He also lost a Brahma Bull Match to . . . . . Al Snow.

WWE.com said there would be an update on WWE TV about Paul Bearer's condition after being buried in cement, but there never was.

They did update it on the next Smackdown after GAB. I remember Michael Cole and Tazz talking about it before Heyman and Undertaker had an in-ring segment.

I forgot what was said though.

Taboo Tuesday: Ric Flair embraces Randy Orton after their cage match. Next week on RAW, Flair is back to hating Orton. Triple H doesn't question Ric at all about the incident. Nothing is said of it. NOTHING AT ALL DAMMIT!!!!

and that was Takers last appearance until Judgment Day btw (he walked out on vince saying he wouldnt do the match) he was injured so they had to write him out of the six pack challenge (he was replaced by DBS)

He was seriously injured, not killed... and who knows. It's WWE.

HHH had promised DBS a title shot if he won the belt back. The Rock ended up being the ref in that match, screwing Davey and leading to their feud.

We're supposed to think it was Team Angle. Before they found him injured, Kurt was backstage and was telling them the key to victory... then they went onto another segment. It was never investigated on, really.

Eddie Guerrero turning up by the Titantron at Hardy Boys matches just before he was fired in 2001.

Eddie does go into this slightly in his RF Video Shoot Interview.

Cheers.
