Volume 2 (Season Three, Chapters 21 - 25) of Clone Wars ended a few weeks ago. I don't know if CN is going to show re-runs of the show anytime soon, but you can watch all five episodes of Vol. 2 at Star Wars.com. If you're a Hyperspace member, you can watch Volume 1 (Seasons One and Two, Chapters 1 - 20) online as well.

I give a thumbs up to Clone Wars, not expecting much before going in. Is it true that Grievous will be nothing like the Clone Wars version outside of appearance?

General Grievous is really going to be sort of a Darth Maul-ish character. Not much real reason for him to be there, he's just there. I mean, he serves a purpose, but he isn't important at all.

Remember how in RETURN OF THE JEDI, Obi-Wan took the full blame for Anakin turning evil?

That scene seems really weird now that I've seen/read all the prequels.

Also, it was supposed to be something like Obi-Wan being arrogant about his training abilities and training Anakin. Some of that is seen in TPM when Obi-Wan goes before the council (I WILL train him.) But the council approves this, so yeah, it is kind of goofy...

<<"Told you so" thing>>

And although even Obi-Wan himself doesn't know it (or Yoda for that mattter), Anakin turning to the dark side is the right thing.

I've been thinking a lot lately (odd since I'm not a huge Star Wars geek, mainly stick to the films no EU) about the character of Annikan Skywalker/Darth Vader, and what a sad pathetic character he turns out to be.

After I see Episode III I can more fully articulate my view on his character.

Since he redeems himself in the end, I don't think of him so much as a sad, pathetic character. It's sad in that he never gets to realize his potential, what with losing about 40% of his body, but he still brings balance to the Force. Hard to overlook the countless people he killed, but he winds up ridding the galaxy of the Sith and the Empire. It's really a tough character on which I can have any kind of stance.

Not sure if anyone has their tix yet for the midnight show, but Fandango is starting to allow pre-orders. I checked today and they have the option to buy midnight show tickets at the theater by my house. I am going to purchase them Friday(pay day).

Ya know, after the huge letdowns that were TPM and AOTC, I can't get excited about seeing ROTS on opening day. I was at Celebration II in 2002 and they showed us some footage like a week before the opening that had not been seen on TV or in trailers...that of Yoda dueling with Dooku. I thought AOTC was going to make up for TPM. I was wrong.

I'm reading the ROTS novelization right now, and Stover is doing a great job of telling the story, so there is no need to rush to the theater to see the movie. I take solace in this.

Still using loads of OT music for the TV spots. They realize that the PT music isn't half as good, but it'd be downright wrong to not have a Williams-scored film.

I think they use the OT music for the trailers and TV because most of the music for the new movie hasn't been scored yet.
