Guest jm29195 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 "In a press release sent out by the Lucha VaVOOM promotion, they confirmed the rumor around the business that WWE has signed former WCW high-flyer Psicosis to a contract." -Credit PW Insider Not sure if this is gonna be for the ecw show only but hopefully not, also lets hope that Juvy and Super Crazy can't be far behind.....
CBright7831 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Whatever happened to New Jack signing with WWE?
Guest MikeSC Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Whatever happened to New Jack signing with WWE? I still say he never did. The WWE wouldn't want to be associated with him. -=Mike
Guest jm29195 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 The wrestling magazine Powerslam over here in the UK said tha he wasn't signed because he appeared on a prior Indy show and told the crowd he was signed before it was a done deal....
Guest LooneyTune Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 I have no idea on how accurate UK magazines can be (and never heard anything from Meltzer), but maybe thats WWE's excuse for not wanting anything to do with him.
brighty Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 if that means we get Psicosis v. Rey 2/3 falls on the ECW PPV then i'm all for it.
Enigma Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Fuck that, I want another Mexican Death Match.
Guest jake Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 I'm pretty sure that Vince and Johnny Ace welcomes him like this; VM; Welcome to the wwe... JA; Yeah....welcome to the wwe.......(ponders what Vince will say next) VM; You're Psichosis right ? And not a Japanese ? JA; Not a Japanese....hmmmm.....damn.... VM; Okay....the door to velocity is that way (points waaaaaaay backstage)... JA; Yeah......Did you think you'll be on smackdown ? VM; Or even on Raw ? Where the Big Boys play ??.....lol....You're a funny guy... JA; Yeah...real funny man.... Psichosis; But I thought I'll be pushed in the cruiserweight division on smackdown VM; Cruiserweight division ?? JA; Yeah..Vince...The little guys that bounce around the ring...One of them is dressed as a punk rocker and another is dressed as a cave man right now... VM; Caveman you say ??? - And the story goes on and on and on and on... Basicly what this means for Psichosis is; "welcome to velocity"...
Guest cosbywasmurdered Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Next time skip the attempt at comedy.
Guest MikeSC Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Next time skip the attempt at comedy. That was an attempt at comedy? Ouch. -=Mike

Isn't that indy show, the only source of anyone ever saying he was signed with the WWE. He just made it up.
iggymcfly Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Maybe they could repackage him. I always thought that the whole Psychosis gimmick was retarded. If he just comes in as a high-flier than great, but that gear's goofy as fuck.

razazteca Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Hurricane, Rosie, Nova, Psicosis = Justice League
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 This is a great signing..... 5 years ago.
natey2k4 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Naw... its still a great signing.. Psicosis is still a good worker. Super Crazy is still half decent as well.. Juvi though... I dunno about him these days.. doesnt seem very good or motivated from his short TNA stint.
SuperJerk Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Hurricane, Rosie, Nova, Psicosis = Justice League The WWE needs to bring back Mighty Molly.
Si82 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 I'd like to be pleased by this but it depends on what kind of contract he has signed. If it's just for the ECW PPV then that's cool. That way he could probably put on a good match and not become a squash boy on Velocity, or Smackdown if they are trying to get a "hoss" over, for the next three years.
Guest MikeSC Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Will they give Psichosis his mask back? Because while I'm not one to judge men, he is one ugly fella. -=Mike
SuperJerk Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 I refuse to get excited about this signing after what happened to Ultimo Dragon. They'll just misuse him and keep him off of TV for months.
Placebo Effect Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Will they give Psichosis his mask back? Because while I'm not one to judge men, he is one ugly fella. -=Mike They gave it back to Rey and acted like it never happenend after he went around without it for nearly three years. Considering how low profile Psicosis' loss was, coupled with the fact that he was barely used after that, I'd say yes. And lets not forget how cool his mask is. I still have a Psicosis mask someone picked up for me in Mexico.
Guest LooneyTune Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Psicosis already has his mask back, according to his recent TNA appearences.
Guest MikeSC Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Psicosis already has his mask back, according to his recent TNA appearences. I hope so. Why EB thought some either pre-adolescent looking or flat-out ugly-ass dudes would sell better than dudes in cool masks, I'll never get. -=Mike
Mole Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 So another good wrestler comes into the WWE, doesn't work the "WWE Style" and doesn't get pushed? Great.
Guest MikeSC Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 So another good wrestler comes into the WWE, doesn't work the "WWE Style" and doesn't get pushed? Great. It's not like he was pushed in WCW, either. He'll be Rey's job boy --- as he ALWAYS is --- and will have a decent match here and there. -=Mike

It's how Psichosis is ALWAYS treated wherever he goes in N. America. He's beneath Rey (largely because he just isn't as solid in the ring). He is not somebody who will ever be a top guy, but he'll always be a good, solid mid-carder. -=Mike

Considering how low profile Psicosis' loss was, coupled with the fact that he was barely used after that, I'd say yes. Well, the problem is, if a lucha gets unmasked, and tries to wear the mask again, people in Mexico get plenty damn pissed about it, even perhaps violently attacking the wrestler. ...at least that's what I'd heard about the Rey situation, and that's why when he was actually in Mexico on his DVD, he was unmasked (they blurred it out, though). Psicosis is from Tijuana (at least I've always heard him announced as being from there), and if he lives in Mexico still, he might want to keep it off. Rey's a native-born US citizen who currently lives in the States. That's a little different. Of course, some of this may be a little off, so if I'm wrong please correct me.
