Edge admits to juicing...

I've read on the sledgehammer forums that Edge has apprantly admitted to jucing before in his career on Off The Record, which was recorded in January with Christian.

Can anyone confirm that he said so?

If it is true, it is not that surprising, but perhaps moreso that he would admit it.

Of course, it's probably like Hogan, you know, to rehab and all. Maybe when he was working the indies.

Considering his lanky physique in years past compared to the one he sports currently where his veins pop out of his pecs, I don't find it hard to believe he may have juiced in the past or may indeed juice now.

from the LAW:

*If you missed last night's "Off the Record" with Edge & Christian, it is definitely worth trying to get a tape of. Both were very candid and honest about every topic brought up. The highlights included Edge saying point blank that he's experimented with steroids (I found this so bizarre because for the last hour I had been watching the Major League Baseball congressional hearing with Mark McGwire shying away from answering that same question over and over and then on the very next program they tackled the same topic and Edge was candid and just said he tried, and it hurt his in ring performance). This was taped back in January and included Edge talking about how he is on his second marriage and that relationships are tough in this industry, yeah I guess so. Edge brought up that Rob Van Dam had a chance at becoming that next "big star" when he debuted but was handled terribly, both agreed that Brock Lesnar was never going to be the next Steve Austin and lacked in promo skills. Very good show.

Edge admits to juicing..........all up in Lita's anus.

Lame.

On the topic - I wonder how much correlation can be drawn between Edge's steroid use and his lengthy string of injuries.

juiced...past tense. who would believe him anyways.

Good hypothesis about the injuries. I've heard muscles tear easier after the juice(not juvi).

Yea, that's something obvious. Well either that, or the dude has worked out a LOT. I mean, at one time both him and Christian were cruiser/light heavyweights. (I think Edge was?) And now I believe they both are well above the heavyweight line. So either they've juiced, or done a hell of a lot of eating.

If you read what he actually said, Edge said that he tried steroids for a while, but quit doing them because it hurt his in-ring performance. That would mean that his injuries probably have nothing to do with steroids.

If he was going to lie about it, you'd think that he would just say he'd never touch them. Given the form of the admission, I'd say that he's probably being completely truthful.

well think about it. what lie(if it's a lie) are people more likely to believe.

"I never ever touched the stuff!"

or

"I've done it before, but i don't do it anymore."

I doubt Christian's juicing as he's not big at all. He's put on some pounds but not much and his build doesn't look unnatural at all.

Edge probably is. He never was a lightweight but he certainly was a hell of a lot smaller. "Hurts in-ring performance" Yeah, right.

I saw it, and it wasn't for rehab or anything, he was asked if he has used steroids in the past and Edge simply said "yes." Then Christian was asked and he was jokingly shying away from the question "Umm, hmm what was the question again?" So you gotta figure he has as well.

Christian's also lost mass too. Do you not remember when he was like...HHH size? (Maybe not as big, but he was getting pretty damn close, because I remember it being mentioned a lot in a RAW thread at some board)

And yes he is a former light heavyweight champ.

I still remember one of the greatest Heat segments ever. Christian in Kurt Angle's chicken suit, trying to make weight to win the CW title from Malenko  .

Why does one needs to "juice up? Just to get bigger? What's the point?

It's a lot quicker (and 'better') then constantly working out/lifting weights, and for some, having to maintain a diet. (And I mean a diet where you have to eat more)

Well for those of you who keep track, right before his injurt Edge had a decent match with A-train on PPV...

After his return months later, he was noticably bigger...had a horrible match with Kane in his return.

Kane and A-train are pretty similar as far as in-ring skill goes.

Since then, Edge's matches have been better.

My favorite part of the interview was when they read a E-Mail from a fan to Edge that said "Hey Edge, How much of the "frustrated wrestler being hosed by HHH" is based in reality?" and Edge laughed and repeated the word hosed.

Most wrestlers do admit that they juice anyway, however what they say is that they juice in cycles and who knows if that part is true or not.

Anyone who's knowledgable cycles. It's a technique that allows you to not completey eradicate your testerone count. When you're off the steroids you go on growth hormone to maintain your muscle. The reason being that when you give your body all the extra testerone it decides it doesn't need anymore and it shuts down its natural production. That is not good. By going off the steroids for awhile you try to trick your body by telling it everything's okay so it'll still produce that magical testerone we all know and love. Still, your testerone count can easily go down especially if you take too much steroids.

I am pretty sure Edge was on the juice last year in April for his return. Then you slowly see his mass getting lost and he is "back to normal" around Taboo Tuesday.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Christian juiced after the TLC's when he was trying to get over as a singles guy.

They have the show on tsns website, u have to regisiter tho. Christain doesnt really anwser the steroid question when the host asks him, he kinda avoids

Parts of that interview were so awkward, particularily when Christian was asked if he ever juiced. The host was so straightforward with some of his questions, like about HHH, steroids, and the industry. Edge giving Christian the subtle nod when talking about how he's the best example of how relationships are tough in wrestling was interesting considering the Lita story didn't break then.

Landsberg is great when he goes for the tough questions. And I've always wondered why ESPN doesn't copy this format instead of gimmick-laden stuff like (Jim) Rome is Burning, PTI and ATH...

No wonder HHH is such a bitch.....anyways I read that quad injuries similiar to HHH's can be caused by steroid use...like when the muscle tears from the bone or something...maybe Nash and McMahon are juicing too(shocking!)
