Ace309 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 (edited) The Pope has received last rites once before (after he was shot), according to my local Fox affiliate's noon news show yesterday. Today's morning show has basically consisted of Popewatch 2005. One of my friends has money on a Cuban cardinal becoming the next Pope, although I'm personally thinking that they'll replace John Paul with a cardinal from Africa. SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 Hey, at least the media isn't burying this story the way they did Mother Theresa. After Popes John and John Paul, I'm convinced the next Pope needs to be called Pope John Paul George.

Guest Lawlerm Report post Posted April 1, 2005 For those of you who are interested the betting for the next Pope (as morbid as that is) is: Dionigi Tettamanzi (Italy) 3.4/1 Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga (Honduras) 3.5/1 Francis Arinze (Nigeria) 4.8/1 Joseph Ratzinger (Germany) 7.2/1 Jorge Mario Bergoglio (Argentina) 8.4/1 Claudio Hummes (Brazil) 12.5/1 Also, all of these people are supposedly 60+ years of age and most are over 70. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 Why do I keep having throughts of the Pope in the Popemobile shouting "I'm not dead yet! I'm not dead yet! I feel fine! I think I'll go for a walk!" Someone inside the Vatican is so going to hit him in the back of the head with a pan. So is he dead or alive? Cause I'm sorry, be kinda sad that the Pope would die on April Fool's Day. It's the bloody POPE, go find out if he's dead or not! I know it's been next to impossible to tell if he's been alive for the last six months to begin with but COME ON, do some actual reporting instead of guessing your ass off.
