ISportsFan Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 I didn't get a chance to comment on it last night, but the White Sox are winning so far exactly as they said they would. 5-4 win in 10 innings after Jose Contreras pitched very inconsistently to start the game (giving up a run in the first inning without giving up a hit, for example). Sacrifice fly to win the game by Juan Uribe. That makes the Sox 6-2 overall and 4-0 in one run games. This is the best start for the White Sox since 1991. Once again I will say, I'll enjoy it while it lasts. And it's especially sweet so far considering that a lot of experts picked both Cleveland and Minnesota to finish ahead of Chicago, but the White Sox have just won three series over these two teams to start the season. Is it way too early to celebrate? Yeah, but it's just a little fufilling to see them play hard through 8 games. Jason
