Gary Floyd Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Lately, there's been alot of people saying Christy Hemme is a bad worker. My thoughts; yeah, she is, but I think she could improve over time. Personally, I think she is better than Sable was (though that's like saying 3 Doors Down are better than Creed) and IMHO, shows at least some good potential. Any thoughts/comments?
AndrewTS Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I don't recall Sable ever having to bump much, and when she did it was being tossed around by her hair or something similar that couldn't be easily screwed up. Although her selling of injuries was awful. Remember the bad back? Sable at least had some crappy offense. Christy has virtually none, horrible selling and bumps. However, she shouldn't even be in the ring at this point anyway. There's nothing to indicate she won't get better, but there's nothing to indicate she will get better, either. But, of course, she's better than Gayda was in her first match.

Slickster Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Remember, Trish was at about Christy's skill level when she won the Women's title in November of 2001. A lot of people were upset with that booking decision due to Trish's relative inexperience, but Trish gutted it out, worked hard, and today *is* the women's division.

haws bah gawd Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Yes I too remember Trish's first days as an active women's wrestler. She was TERRIBLE. However, she stuck to it, and learned how to wrestle, sell, and work the mic, and is now on the same level as, if not better than Victoria.

It just doesnt look convincing. But, she's proven she's good at gymnastics. So, give her all sorts of crazy, sexually suggestive rollups. As far as promos go, I have no idea how to give her a good character, but good wrestler, sure. Firey rollup filled babyface.

And it was even dumber hearing JR shill Christy as the number 1 contender. Although if she's ever going to stand a chance she's going to have to stop bopping up and down all the time, there's no way she can kick ass and do that...although that is all of her character

EDIT: Or a female early Mikey Whipwreck. Except less verminlike, in 1-2-3 Kid's case. But, yeah. Like I said, it's obvious there's no way she's winning any matches from any feats of strength or hard slams/drops what so ever, so either train her to fly (risky) or have her learn lots of flash pins (not risky, and coollooking.)

Just remember that so I can tell you "I told you so" months/years from now. I never said that she would be. I'm just suggesting that she could become at least watchable. Besides, to me, it seems like she at least is trying, which is better than being lazy in my opinion.

To be honest, her whole demeanor just annoys the hell out of me. I must admit though, she's not nearly as bad as she was during the Diva search segments. It's probably just me that feels like that anyway
