And one for black AND white posters on TSM: why do some people seem to be taking this so fucking seriously? And who cares if someone says "ask" or "acks" or "the" or "tha"? I personally probably say the former for the first pairing, and the latter for the second (I actually said, "I'm going to the bar tonight" out loud to see how it sounded; it's actually closer to "thu" when I said it).

 

Oh, and one more: how come so many Irish guys have small dicks? I haven't seen any personally but all my Irish friends joke about the "Irish curse" ... is it because the potatoes?

Louis Farrakahn(how ever the fuck you spell that fuckers name) certainly does, but for the most part, black people don't have any hate for jews. Hell, most southern blacks couldn't tell a jew from a...well...um...non...jew...

 

And no, i don't think anyone is taking this too seriously. Honestly during the whole ask/axe thing yesterday, I was busy trying to shoot popcorn from the bottom of a 32 oz styrofom cup into my mouth and being quite amuzed by my attempts. So basically I was giggling like a 3 year old while typing that. I am pretty sure(at least I hope) that noone gets all emotional over anything here. Don't want people freezing over what someone said or anything...

Nothing grates on my nerves more than when someone I know tells me I'm the whitest black guy they know...to me that's an insult...to me that's saying that in order to be black I have to be ignorant, talk like I don't have an education, dress in clothes that are too big, listen to nothing but rap all the time, do nothing but play basketball and smoke weed and drink 40s all day etc. etc.

Yeah. My best friend who joined the Marines in 1998 is black. When I met him in '94, and until he went to boot camp, he had long jerry curls (like gangsta style) and he jsut looked "blacker" than black. But when he spoke, he sounded white. If someone were to speak to him on the phone, they'd think he was white. He did a lot of things that were perceived to be white in origin. Such as reading comic books, getting into video games, watching sci-fi, etc. Most of his girls were white, although his baby's mother was black. Once, while his uncle was drunk and trying to commandeer the house of the recently-passing grandmother, and my friend tackled him and began punching him, the uncle said, "Get off of me, you devil lover!" But despite all of these so-called "white" attributes, he was still proud to be black. There is a lot of peer pressure involved in doing the things that BL mentioned.

Oddly enough: the only place I've ever heard the term "Irish curse" before today was in Mick Foley's first book. Well, Denis Leary alluded to it one time, but then again he uses pretty much every Irish joke ever invented at one point or another.
