The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 As do I, they really need to not dig themselves in a big hole like they did this game and in the other ones in Washington. They can't afford to go down by 20 and then rally back in the second half. EVERYONE needs to step it up and the bigs that we have need to stay out of foul trouble. Hopefully Nocioni gets possessed again and plays like game 1.
Guest news_gimmick Report post Posted May 5, 2005 Yah I hope the guys eventually get off their habit of mass fouling too, it only makes it tougher to win. I know its just a habit of all their younger players, but its killing them in the series. As for the Noche, he really has been focused on since game one and hasn't let loose like that game. Besides he is giving up size in the paint, and isn't really a rebounding force like in game 1 anyway. What I want to see now is more Pargo when the Bulls need scoring. They have waited way too long in the last two games to bring him in for the scoring boost.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 While we're hoping for stuff, I also hope Steve Kerr never says "Princeton Offense" ever again. Sure, it's killing Chicago, but goddamn, it's annoying to hear Kerr say it every 2 mins. ...But, I still am a Steve Kerr fan, of course.
Guest news_gimmick Report post Posted May 5, 2005 Yah I still love the man too, hes just doing his job. Bulls could've used his 3-point shooting tonight.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 This is unfuckingbelievable if you're a Wizards fan. After years......DECADES even......of incredibly shitty basketball in D.C., not only do we finally have a team that's made it into the playoffs, but a team that could actually ADVANCE in the playoffs. Amazing. Yeah, really. I've only been a fan for about 10 years but it's felt like 10 decades. Are you in the D.C. metro area? Yes. Live in MoCo, but am at college in Delaware. Where in DE? And, I loved the call on Comcast Sportsnet as they tied it up, Steve Buckhantz went "OH NOOOOOOOOOOO!" even before the shot went in.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 Spurs has a better team then when they last played. Now that the Spurs have a credible backup FC in Muhammond the team has nothing to worry about. As you can see the Spurs don't need Tim Duncan to score 40 points a night to win the game anymore. The offense is now spread out between the guards and BIG SHOT Robert Horry making the important 3 late in the game. You should fear Glenn Robinson when he starts shooting and making the 3 pointers! Jerome James vs Nazh Muhammond will be the match up to watch.

Guest news_gimmick Report post Posted May 5, 2005 I do hope the Pacers take care of Boston tonight, I'm ready for Detroit/Indiana. I'm not sure however that Houston is done, I think they may get their act together tonight and pull out a win finally. If the refs treat Yao fair, of course
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 UD in Newark. Yo, fucked up shit with that girl getting killed. I graduated UD in 2000. Best times of my life down there. For the Pacers/Celtics, it seems to be a complete crapshoot. I would have never expected the Celtics to clobber Indy in Indy without Walker, so who knows what will happen. Pacers/Pistons is certainly an appealing series though.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 I think Dalembert's FA status was mentionted earlier; I'm quite positive he's a free agent this summer. Reggie's retirement frees up $6 million, but I doubt that would be enough to bring in Dalembert. Austin Croshere opting out would free up about $9 million, but it's not going to happen. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 But hey, if Yao starts getting away with those illegal screens there is only one thing left for Avery Johnson to do.... Send in the GOON, baby! Mavs in 6 tonight, make it happen.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 I'm thinking the Knicks make a play for Dalembert, I know they're going to go hard after Big Z. I like what Dalembert can do, but I'd like him better if he'd shown any sort of offensive consistency this year. And I seriously doubt 6mil per is enough, teams are desperate for size and that figure would definitely get outbid by some crazy GM.
Guest news_gimmick Report post Posted May 5, 2005 So will O'Brien being the coach or not next season determine if he stays in Philly? From what I've seen there were a few players (Dalembert, Webber) who were not pleased with his coaching style at all. I can imagine if others tire of him as well there could be more problems that evolve from this. But...Iverson enjoys playing for him, so his job may be safe for a while. Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2005 But hey, if Yao starts getting away with those illegal screens there is only one thing left for Avery Johnson to do.... Send in the GOON, baby! Mavs in 6 tonight, make it happen. It would be nice if Yao could do ANYTHING on the court, legal or illegal, without being whistled for a foul. I mean after all, Dirk wouldn't foul out if he was given an automatic weapon. But since he doesn't guard anyone anyway, I guess it's a moot point.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted May 6, 2005 MVP announced tomorrow. At this current moment Nash and Shaq both have 51 first place votes, Nash has the most overall votes. It better be Nash. While Shaq coming to the Heat has helped the team get better around him, Nash has been unquestionably the MVP since the Suns streaked through the season to get the NBA's best record. And yet a friend of mine (also Laker fan, Shaq supporter) claims that the Suns wouldn't have had nearly the season that they did had "other teams in the same division not gotten weaker", obviously referring to the Shaq trade. Not sure if that would be the case, as Phoenix's style of play is just perfect for the big guy to be huffing and puffing up and down the court. So why hasn't Duncan, Iverson, and Wallace been mentioned in the MVP race either? A.I. still continues to prove why he was 2001's MVP, even if they became Laker fodder in the Finals, without Duncan, the Spurs skidded, and Wallace is still helping Detroit stay on top, or at least very close to it. I'm just kinda tired of seeing the same players be mentioned for the voting, and would be quite pleased at Nash winning.
