Guest Mosaicv2 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Scott Kazmir can kick Kevin Brown's ass.
mike546 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Maybe if Brown knew how to pitch in the first and second innings, he wouldn't be so bad. Also, if our 3rd base coach didn't suck so much. I swear thats atleast 4 guys thrown out at the plate this year. And thirdly, if A-Rod could get a hit in a situation that MATTERS.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Brian Roberts is using Performance Enhancing...Contacts? But its not really the surefire reason behind his early season sucess so far, even though he's the only MLB player currently wearing them during games (only day games).
Brett Favre Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 A few Yankees need those contacts. I call a Giambi HR right here.
mike546 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 A few Yankees need those contacts. I call a Giambi HR right here. I was hoping for contact. Ugh.
mike546 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Same exact thing happens when they bring in a lefty to face Giambi. He takes the first two pitches for strikes, and Ks on the 3rd. LET PHILLIPS PLAY PLEASE!
Mik Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 AJ Burnett has 11 Ks through 5. He won't make it past the 7th, I don't think. His pitch count is pretty high. But he also leads the NL in triples with 2.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 On days like this, the Yankees' messageboard is a blast to read. OMG THE SKY IZ FALLING~!!!
Mik Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I think callmeitchy is Anglesault. He seems to be Mr. Positive over there.
mike546 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 The Yankees refuse to put everything together. First it was good pitching and hitting with a sucky bullpen. Then good hitting, bad all pitching. then bad pitching, bad hitting, bad bullpen. Now the bullpen FINALLY solves it problems, and nobody can hit worth a shit. EDIT: You think thats bad, read the YES boards.
the max Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 At least Sault could spell and at least try to make a semblance of an argument.
mike546 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 A-Rod ruins another rally! What a shock! EDIT: Hey Joe, Andy can run, makes contact, and got on base! Start him!
Bruiser Chong Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Eduardo Perez just hit the absolute BEJESUS out of the first pitch from Alan Embree to win the game after the Sox come back to tie it 4-4. Absolutely ridiculous shot that has to be seen to be believed.
mike546 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Holy crap what a week for Eddie Perez. Two homers of RJ, and now a GW HR against Boston.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 23, 2005 Author Report Posted April 23, 2005 Perez has always been an underrated platoon masher. And Jeter Ks in a CLUTCH~! situation.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 And Jeter Ks in a CLUTCH~! situation. It's not October.
Brett Favre Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Ah, Bullshit strike call on Bernie pretty much ends the game.
mike546 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 He saved the game for us last night, he can't do it every night.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 23, 2005 Author Report Posted April 23, 2005 Off topic, but for those of you with ESPN classic, they are showing Dwight Muhammad Qawi vs. Evander Holyfield. Great, classic brawl.
MrRant Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Why has the All Star Ballot been released only 10ish games into the year?
Mik Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I don't know, but MLB.com keeps sending me emails that say Vote Early and Vote Often. Stupid.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 23, 2005 Author Report Posted April 23, 2005 The Athletics ink Bobby Crosby to a five-year deal, locking up his arbitration years. And the dream is dead, as Calvin Pickering is off to Omaha.
Guest Shadow Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Off topic, but for those of you with ESPN classic, they are showing Dwight Muhammad Qawi vs. Evander Holyfield. Great, classic brawl. The cable box preview spoiled the winner. It always does that. they even tell you WHEN it ends.
ISportsFan Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I just got to my computer, so this is a late update that everyone has probably already seen, but so be it. White Sox win 8-2 over Kansas City, making their record an AL best 13-4. Juan Uribe went 3 for 3, Scott Podsednik had 3 stolen bases, and the offense basically manufactured a bunch of runs with the wind blowing in. Freddy Garcia pitched 7 strong innings to pick up the win. Jason
The Czech Republic Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Seems like only weeks ago that analysts were touting the Yankees' rotation as the best in the National League. I CAUGHT A KEIPER ERROR I WIN A PRIZE EDIT: d'oh, Chong beat me to it. You win this round, Bruiser Chong.
