Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 and there ain't shit on! I mean there's some decent stuff from the late 70s and early 80s here and there, so it's okay for nostalgia, but there just isn't really much on it at this point...or course, it's only 6 bucks so I guess you get what you pay for! Dandy 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Is it $6 per month, per day, or per block of programming? Also, where are you located and who is your cable carrier?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 it's monthly and you can view whatever they have available as often as you wish... I'm in Omaha, NE and the provider is Cox... Trying to remember what was on it this month...Wendy Richter v. Moolah from WM, Dawn/Torrie v. Moolah/Mae Young in a school girl match from last year, one episode of Primetime from the mid 80s (which I watched strictly for banter between Gorilla and Heenan), AWA's Wrestlewar 86 (the only worthwhile thing on currently), a WWE card from MSG in 78 which isn't too shabby, the WWE Divas special from last year, and some deal about Sunny...so it's about what you'd expect for 6 bucks, I suppose... someone may correct me, but I think they switch their content out twice a month... Dandy 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Well, here in Huntington, WV, we have shitty Adelphia and they don't carry it. Adelphia was just bought out by Time Warner and Comcast, and TW will be the provider for the state of West Virginia. I am hoping they will carry 24/7, because I'll gladly pay $6 a month. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 well thats cool for you but I dont know when Ill get it, Adelphia does suck the proverbial bone when it comes to getting new things ( I waited 3 and a half years for hi-speed internet in my area as well as OD capabaility)
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Why don't you have access to the Monday Night War, ECW, PPV, etc. shows?
Guest John Dub Report post Posted April 27, 2005 I've got it in Boston through RCN and what I have is a Roddy Piper special from the late 80's hosted by Mean Gene, an MSG show from the 70's and the Monday Night war, which focuses on the RAW after Shawn's collapse from Owen's enziguri and the corresponding Nitro, where we get a decent Harlem Heat/American Males match. Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 remember they are just starting out so we won't get that 24 7 actual material all at once yet.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 That's all well and good, but did you read what I said they were showing...the WWE Divas search? Two Moolah matches? Christ on a stick, give me SOMETHING ELSE, ANYTHING ELSE!

Carnival 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Lincoln = Time Warner And they are bitches. I asked them once, they said. "We have no current plans to carry that channel."
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 weird, I thought Lincoln did carry Cox Cable...that sucks!
Carnival 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Does Omaha have a UPN? Lincoln doesn't. If I wanna see smackdown i have to go to my sister's house who has Dish Network or wait until Saturday afternoon then FOX from Grand Island plays it.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 HA! yeah we have UPN...it's amazing that our cities are a half hour away from each other yet yours seems to really suck ass with something as simple as cable TV...
LessonInMachismo 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 No Primetime, Lushus?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Primetime....as in? EDIT: you mean the show with Gorilla and Heenan that came on every monday night? yeah there's one whole episode from 87-88 or so...
LessonInMachismo 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Primetime....as in? You've never heard of Primetime Wrestling? Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon were the hosts and they'd show matches from house shows and sometimes repeat matches from Superstars or Challenge.
LessonInMachismo 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 EDIT: you mean the show with Gorilla and Heenan that came on every monday night? yeah there's one whole episode from 87-88 or so... I WANT 24/7!

Carnival 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 And i always thought Time Warner was better than Cox. I used to laugh at people from Omaha cuz they had Cox and we had TW. Boy is my face red now.
Dandy 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Supposedly Time Warner is going to "integrate their system with Adelphia's" when they take it over completely by next year. What kind of price range does TW have for you folks? For digital cable, the HBO package, all the digital channels like ESPN News, Game Show Network, Turner Classic Movies, Classic Sports, etc., and cable internet, I pay a ridiculous $126.26 per month after taxes and fees. I wonder how the TW takeover will affect my cable?

Sadly $126 sounds about right. We have digital cable channels...and internet and it's around $115 a month.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 I don't necessarily crave WWE 24/7 as much as I'd love to see the MSG/SNME shows from the Hulkamania Era (1984-1992) that I don't have.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2005 Guess I spoke too soon...lots of shit on right now...No Way Out 2004, an old AAA show from 94 featuring Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero amongst others, an episode of Nitro and Raw, a bunch of ECW footage from early 94, some Don Muraco stuff, an old MSG card from 82 i think featuring heel Hogan against Tito Santana...some good shit!
