AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Heh, 60s AIP stuff is kick ass. I dunno about the 50s stuff though, wasn't most of it just JD type movies with John Ashley? It boggles my mind that John Ashley actually starred in stuff. I actually heard that Samuel Arkoff started AIP by ripping off Ed Wood. He was Wood's lawyer circa Bride of the Monster and of course Wood got in debt so Arkoff paid him practically nothing for it and reaped the profits. After that he started AIP and the rest is B movie history. I think in about 1980 or so Arkoff sold AIP to someone and it became Orion. This has nothing to do with WWE Films really, but hell I think Vince would take the kind of profits American International used to have. AIP's funded directors such as Bert I. Gordon, Roger Corman (who, while not a good director, often had it covered up by working with talented people, like Beverly Garland and of course Vincent Price), and of course Larry "just didn't care" Z. Buchanan (who made *remakes* of early AIP movies, unbelievably enough). Most B-movie fans will more fondly remember the 50's though. What did they do during the 60's that rocked? I'm thinking the Vincent Price stuff (which did indeed rock), but other than that I'm drawing blanks. That, Larry Z, and Gamera are all I can think of. Funny enough, CHiPs director Bernard Kowalski's also directed Attack of the Giant Leeches (which was an AIP production) and Night of the Blood Beast--which both were partly written by Roger Corman's *brother*. Here's a listing of AIP credits, but it's not in chronological order and it's soooo long that it's hard to skim over it. http://www.imdb.com/List?distributors=Amer...AIP)%20%5Bus%5D 70's weren't too bad for them it seems, with stuff like Foxy Brown, Amityville Horror, and The Abominable Mr. Phibes. caboose 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Surely a stroyline involving William Regal faking his own death and hiding in the back of Black Recarro Pontiac pretending to be the vocie of the car with Tajiri as Michael knight would draw HUGE.
Dimensions 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 What doesn't Vince call it Titan Tower Films? I think that'd be better than him using WWE films which, you know, screams wrestling and I'm not sure if that's what you want for a production company.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Why not just ride Flair? Call it Naitch Rider. Triple H is the only one with the privilege to ride Flair. There's something for the returning Mark Henry, though. He's about the size of Kit Tajiri could lay stiff kicks into the appropriate sides to turn.
Guest Hass of Pain Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Considering that 90210 is one of the greatest shows ever made, especially the later seasons, I am quite enamored with this most recent development.
Guest Pariah Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Yes. Some good news from the WWE writing team for once, I despise Gewirtz' role in the WWE and the things that he has been in charge of putting on RAW and Smackdown. I hope this turns the WWE ratings around with someone competent at the helm and Vince finally catches on to the idiocity of Gewirtz.
humongous2002 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Most likely Gerwitz will be replace by some other "Hollywood" writer and RAW will look more like 90210 than an actual wrestling show, HHH could play Dylan.
Promoter 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 When they move Stephanie Mcmahon then I'll believe things may turn ratings. At least they got rid of the morons who wanted to turn Booker T into a voodoo master and hopefully the death of Paul Bearer crap doesn't rear its ugly head again. Kizzo 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Stephanie is still in charge...so it really doesn't matter who they hire for the writing teams...its all up to Steph if she wants to present these ideas to Mr. McMahon or not... Now if this Hollywood guy was in the same role that Chris Kreski(creative supervisor/head writer)was then maybe....just maybe we could see how this guy truly writes.....and how well organized he is.... Say all you want about what a stupid gimmick that would be, but atleast Booker would be doing something instead of being one half of the newest Ebony and Ivory tag team. Promoter 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Well, I'm sure Booker T would rather have his wife beside him while touring the world than walking around with Cleo in a graveyard. Yep, this is a hard choice to make Plus, it seems like he might be feuding with Kurt Angle.
Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Booker's going to team with Ivory now? Haha. You just gave WWE Creative a new idea.
