With Shaak Ti, I think it went like this (and if I'm wrong someone correct me on it):

She was originally supposed to be killed by Grievous to show how badass he was. In March 2004 when reshoots began, they decided not to do that and went with Anakin killing her in a fight at the Jedi temple. Of course, for some unknown reason, that was left out which is a shame, because Shaak Ti kicked major ass in the second season of the Clone Wars cartoon.

Why didn't they include the scene where Anakin kills Shaak Ti? We never saw Anakin actually kill any Jedi.

If Shaak Ti was suposed to be played by Bai Ling (Ling Bai?), than according to IMDB, all of her scenes were cut when she decided to pose nude for Playboy.

More random ROTS thoughts, or:

"Things I Learned Upon my 3rd Screening of Revenge of the Sith"

-There's GOTS to be another scene in between Yoda getting up from his fall and his crawling through the Senate tunnels.

-Like Anakin, I also choke my wife from time to time, except I use my cock.

-I dunno why Owen and Beru didn't have any kids of their own. If I was Owen, I'd tap that instead of going to Toshi Station any day.

-Mace Windu's lightsaber was purple because making it big and black would've been just too obvious.

-The guy two rows back thought it was important enough to inform everyone that not only should you not "fuck with Yoda", but that Yoda was also "A muthafuckin' pimp". I thought I'd pass that along.

-Green clonetroopers *really* look like Halo characters.

-Yoda slamming the two guards into the wall = still funny.

-Good lord, Capt. Antilles was so queer. Between him and C-3P0, the Tantive IV is now a gay cruise.

I forgot what role Bai Ling had, but Shaak Ti was played by Orli Shoshan.

So I guess the much-rumored Yoda talking to Qui-Gon/Yoda arriving on Dagobah scenes didn't exist?

I guess not...which is a shame. Although it does look like something extra goes on in the Tantive IV, when it focuses on Yoda on his own, maybe for the DVD release we'll at least get some Qui-Gon conversation.

Would anyone like to speculate when a box-set of these first three eps wil arrive? I'd like it if they did the box in the same style as they did with the OT's dvd box-set.

In the graphic novel it does show that Yoda is indeed talking to Qui-Gon Jinn up until Bail Organa interrupts him. Not sure if the actual conversation is a deleted scene or if it was even shot.

Regarding those deleted screen shots, that last one with Obi-Wan and Anakin escaping the droids through the floor does appear in the GN as well. It would have been nice to see that in the movie.

She was just an extra. Some people are making way too big a deal about this.

Oh man, that was MikeSC bad.

Except I wasn't kidding.

I read this somewhere else, dont know if it was discussed or not. But what if Darth Sidous created Anakin, remember how he said that Darth Pleggius *sp* was able to create life and preserve it through the manipulation of the medichlorians, and it has been rumored that he indeed was Sidous master before he killed him. I thought it was interesting and i figured you guys would either discuss it or flame me for it either way it was an interesting read.

I read that too, and thought it was intersting.

Another point of interest was that Own Lars was supposed to be Obi-wan's brother in an early draft, and still is in the book version they released of the OT recenty.

i remember also reading and watching it in the movies in tpm in Anakins room when hes showing Padame threepio theres a patern in the ceiling that looks exactly like the ones on Mauls Face.

You mean re-released. The original ROTJ novelization came out around the same time the movie did. I have some version from the early 90s.

There were a couple of differences in the book though that I prefer from the movie. One, Palpatine (or Vader, I can't quite remember which one) knew that Yoda trained Luke and find out by scanning his mind that he was dead. Two, when the battle was going south for the Empire they were targetting the Death Star at Endor which made the final flight through the Death Star by Lando more tense.

What if David Lynch had directed Return of the Jedi? Vader "breathing oxygen" while raping Leia. Luke finding a severed ear in a field. Red curtains. I would really want to see how different this whole generation of Star Wars fans would be if Lynch had full control of the project.

Since it was Darth Plaigus who had the power to influence midichlorians to create life, then it would have had to been Darth Plaigus that created Anakin, not Sidious.

Another thought, did Obi-Wan and Yoda originally intend for Luke to be trained at a younger age? When Luke and Obi-Wan meet in ANH Obi freely talks about his father being a Jedi and how he fought in the Clone Wars, but Owen told Luke his father was a navigator and nothing about him being involved in the war at all....So, did Obi-Wan originally want to train Luke from a younger age only for Owen to refuse to let him do so? I could see Obi-Wan accepting Owen's wishes as such when Luke was younger only to wait for a chance once Luke's reached the age where he would be able to follow him on his own.

I don't think Plagueis or Sidious/Palpatine created Anakin.

I think Palpatine was lying. He knew that Anakin feared losing Padme. Palpatine played to Anakin's fear by telling him that the Dark Side of the Force was a "pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural." The power to prevent death being one of the supposed abilities, Anakin naturally became intrigued. The ability to prevent death was something Anakin wanted to achieve since the death of his mother. In AOTC, Anakin tells Padme that he will become the most powerful Jedi ever and learn how to stop people from dying.

I'd also assume that the Sith knew about the prophecy of the Chosen One. I don't think Plagueis or Palpatine would take a chance by creating someone who could potentially become the one to destroy the Sith and bring balance to the Force.

You could argue though, that knowing the Jedi prophecy would only make them more apt to do it.

I mean, it's possible that they knew in creating a child that he would be somewhat more likely to turn to the Sith, because he was created by Sith, and thus there might be some weird sci-fi stuff going on.

Anyway, maybe they thought that they could fool the Jedi into thinking he was the Chosen one, so that when they turned him, the Jedi would be totally fucked.

This time last week, I was in a theater, and the movie was starting. Goddamn, that was an awesome opening with the Jedi fighters heading into the battle with John William's score roaring on.

Probably the second best opening of the series behind the Tantive IV/Devastator one in ANH.

They gave that Star Destroyer a name?

Yep. Most of the Star Destroyers have names. The only one I actually remember being named in the movies though is the Avenger (Needa's Star Destroyer in ESB). The Devastator is one of the more well known ones.
