starvenger 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 It doesn't sound like lost You Lost people are starting to get as bad as the Whedoniacs. Sounds like that Sealab DSV combined with Sphere or something, actually. A Lost clone would have them lost at the bottom of the sea or something.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 So...when in the hell will Scrubs be on. Once a show gets canceled, they'll throw Scrubs and a mid-season replacement in. And hell, if The Office doesn't do well, they'll just put Scrubs there. Shitty line-up, though. I'll watch the new shows for a couple weeks, but meh.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 I can't believe that they ended up spinning off the Apprentice with Martha Stewart. Why the hell just not give her her own show? I guess the real good news is that 24 is staying put on FOX.

Some intern will think of something and they'll steal it. I could care less about the show, but The Apprentice actually has a fanbase that will tune in. If they stay remains the question, but it will pop a good rating for a couple weeks at least. Fear Factor also got pulled like Scrubs. And Law & Order: Trial By Jury is done. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) With a robust list of freshman hits including "Desperate Housewives," "Lost" and "Grey's Anatomy," ABC had the year's big network television success story. On the eve of its upfront presentation, ABC's schedule moved a step closer to complete with some unexpected reported renewals and pickups. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC is likely to renew underperforming Friday comedy "Less than Perfect," as well as freshman laffers "Jake in Progress" and "Rodney." Most industry observers had predicted that at least two of those three were headed for cancellation, particularly "Jake" with its average viewership of 5.5 million viewers. "Perfect" (6.2 million) and "Rodney" (9 million with a strong "According to Jim" lead-in) were thought to be on the fence. Other shows looking good for renewal are the first-year unscripted offerings "Wife Swap" and "Supernanny." "George Lopez" and "Hope & Faith" are on track to get new seasons as well. From Zap2It. Well, that kind of kills my eagerness. I'll be glad to see Jake in Progress renewed, as despite its flaws, I kind of enjoyed it. I was kind of hoping Less Than Perfect would get canceled, if only because Eric Roberts would go back to DTV films. That's a bit mean, yes, but Roberts rocks. Rodney, George Lopez, and other crap, whatever.
Mole 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 And anything that JJ Abrams touches has to be good. Try telling that to Superman fans I thought that was the studio's fault. The studio didn't write a shitty script. How do we know it was that bad? The idea of a good script to us is different than what the studio thinks is a good script. I read it and formed my own opinion on it. That's how I form my opinions. Is that the one which had "And then Luthor flies!" Yeah, it was a shitty script. You people better not be pulling a Whedon with Abrams, just because "Lost" is a good show. Enjoy his successes, do not deny nor apologize for his failures. I didn't know the script got out. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 I actually met Bill Lawrence (and other cast members of Scrubs) last night, and even when he had a few drinks in him, he didn't mention the show being held back. He just may have never been told until today.

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 Meh. I was thinking Criminal Intent might get pulled. I'm mostly anticipating what ABC, FOX, and the WB do with their schedules. Criminal Intent is under contract- Vincent D'Nofrio and Chris Noth are splitting the lead role. I have a feeling they cancelled TBJ to show they don't need to rely on Law and Order to do well. Still a supremely stupid move. Jeff Zucker's a moron
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 They only brought back Scrubs because they had to Well, they'll be well beyond 100 episodes at the end of the fifth season, so if it gets cut, that's when it'll happen.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 This is probably Scrubs' last season. NBC gave it a two season contract for God knows what reason so that's why it got renewed

TBJ getting canned is total bullshit Meh. I was thinking Criminal Intent might get pulled. I think Chris Noth is back for half the shows next year, which immediately makes half the shows on CI a lot better than they would be with D'Onofrio there. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 I don't really watch, like most of America. That's why I said God knows what reason since giving a two year contract to a struggling show is a pretty stupid idea.
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 NBC probably sees it as a good show, crazy, I know. I think the problem with America is that people think hospital shows must be serious. They don't want Sugarhill Gang references starting off a show that deals with people going into septic shock. Meh, I just hope that everything ties up into a Series Finale. I mean, you can't make 100 episodes and then have it canned to make room for Fear Factor: Couple Colonics.

starvenger 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2005 I guess this is fallout from Joey/Will and Grace doing poorly. ABC smells blood, knows The OC probably won't increase their audience and figures that it's as good a time as any to try and gain a foothold there.
strummer 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2005 "Thick and Thin," about a woman struggling to adjust to a new life after dropping a lot of weight, have emerged as NBC's frontrunners, sources said Oh God, Paula Pell has a show on network TV. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2005 My God, ABC moved almost everything around. 8 Simple Rules and My Wife & Kids, along with midseasoners Eyes and Blind Justice, are all gone. Less Than Perfect did get renewed, but it looks like they're just going to produce a bunch of episodes incase something gets canceled. Freddie, by the way, is a sitcom starring Freddie Prinze Jr. Yay.
