mike546 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2005 Just watched the end of the Sox game, and Foulke is still having issues. Two bomb doubles, an error, two runs, and a double play to end the game.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2005 The Jays called up Aaron Hill now that Koskie's hurt. He's DHing tonight, but I think there's probably a little competition between him and Russ Adams over who's supposed to be the 'shortstop of the future' for the team. I think the original plan was to move one to third base, but Koskie throws a wrench in that plan. On the whole though, having two MLB caliber shortstops is a nice problem to have. Guest Mosaicv2 Report post Posted May 21, 2005 He seems to be struggling at home... but he seems to do well on the road, I guess it's just Fenway and how it's a nightmare to pitchers. By the way, were coming back for you guys tomorrow.
mike546 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2005 RJ struggles again today, giving up 12 hits to the Mets, and four runs. I think the groin is bugging him, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him go on the DL.
Mik 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2005 I wonder if Kruk is regretting predicting 30 wins for Randy. He probably doesn't even remember.

mike546 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 Yankees making Pedro WORK~!, 31 pitches through one.
mike546 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 A-Rod officially cannot be a complete player. Now that he can hit again, he boots an easy ground ball hit by PEDRO FUCKING MARTINEZ, leading to two to runs.
strummer 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 The Yankees are on their way to taking 2 of 3 from the Mets, but neither team can be happy with their play this weekend. Just awful awful baseball. Mets make 2 straight errors in 8th leading to the Yankees taking the lead. But the Mets wouldn't have had their first 2 runs if not for an E by A-Rod. TERRIBLE baseball
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 Cubs suck, but what I saw of today's game was amazing. Prior throws a CG (126 pitches) and gives the Cubs a 4-3 win. Konerko's homer in the ninth really tightened it up, but striking out Dye to end the game was like a storybook finish.
mike546 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 Forgot to mention this before, but if anyone who has the YES channel cares, theres a replay of the hour and a half interview with Steinbrenner at 9PM. Thought it was really interesting.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2005 A-Rod officially cannot be a complete player. Now that he can hit again, he boots an easy ground ball hit by PEDRO FUCKING MARTINEZ, leading to two to runs. The problem is that Alex has been overhyped by every TV announcer and expert for years now. I didn't even like him before he came to NY, mostly because everyone kept saying he was the best in baseball. He looks great at 3B alot, but then there are times when he can make costly errors. The Yanks were lucky to take the series as their hot bats have cooled down. (but hey a wins, a win right? especially now as they need to take all the wins they can get) some work on the D might help, maybe if they decide who will be the everyday player at each position soon, as the defense has been sloppy as of late(definately cost them in the last game vs Mariners) But at least to me, they reminded me of the Yanks championships teams of the past decade, in that they pounced on mistakes and took advantage of extra outs, which you have to do. Of course this is coming from video clips as I haven't even seen a game since that 13-9 win over Seattle. We haven't even hit June yet, I believe that the Summer months in MLB should prove very interesting.
Mik 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 Carlos Delgado and Miguel Cabrera homer on back to back pitches. Both were bombs. The way Willis is pitching...goodnight, game over.

Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 I think the Cubs come up with new ways in practice to get runners on with less than two outs and then not score.

Mik 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 Danny Graves is ready to make a South Florida return. Designated for assignment by the Cincinnati Reds Monday, the former University of Miami standout has told associates he hopes to land with the Marlins. southflorida sun sentinel Uh uh. And the same paper has an article about Burnett. He claims that he thinks it's a bone spur, that's it's not serious, and that he will only miss one start. I'm not sure I'm that optimistic myself, but it's encouraging at the very least.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 Graves on a Marlins roster = bad for you guys, relief for everyone else.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 I would give Graves the benefit of the doubt. There's a difference for a flyball pitcher in Cincinnati and one in Miami.

Guest Smues Report post Posted May 25, 2005 Atlanta beats New York 4-0. It seems like it has been forever since we shut out an opponent, although in reality it probably hasn't been that long. Glavine gives up 4 over 6 2/3, which actually lowers his ERA against Atlanta, since I think before the game it was like 9.35.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 Javy Lopez broke a finger and is going to the DL, hes out for 2 months. Sal Fassano was sent back down when they brought up Sosa, so he'll have to clear waivers (??) for them to have a 2nd catcher. + Brian Roberts got hit by a pitch and came out of the game, but damn it if he has to go on the DL too. Hes currently "Day to Day". Spelling lesson with MarvinisaLunatic The Orioles are F + U + C + K + E + D
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 I'm sorry Phillies fans. The moment that made my night probably slightly dampened yours. Arrrrrgh. Cormier has been crap for 2 years now. Madson should have started the 8th, and the Phillies likely would have gotten the win. Also ruined another outstanding performance by Brett Myers.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 Well at Least Jay Gibbons just crushed a solo Home Run to the bullpen to give the Os a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 8th.

Over on Orioleshangout, I read he might miss up to 3 games..but its preliminary and not really official. Someone over on the Hangout mentioned that Screech (Fiorenteno) was drafted out of college as a Catcher and could be used there in an emergency if they have any problems calling up a catcher or finding one off the FA list.
