Have to say I agree that Matt is becoming whiny and bitchy. Of course the whole thing is a shitty situation but Matt hasn't exactly helped himself - he shoved their private life into the public arena and he has encouraged the chants against Lita. What were they gonna do? They can't have Lita as a face - at least until this thing blows over, which it won't at the rate Matt complains

 

I am probably one of the very few people who enjoy both Lita and Edge so I like the way this storyline has gone so far. I know its based on real life but I think that's exactly what it makes it good - guaranteed crowd heat, they have chemistry together...I only started watching wrestling again since last year (I stopped in 95) and this is one of the rare times that the mark in me is genuinely excited about what's happening next week

 

I also don't think Amy Dumas is a skank or a slut either for one simple reason - I don't know her. I think its easy to judge (and I have judged Matt in a way earlier in this post so I'm aware of the irony) but the fans don't know the whole situation. We have heard Matt's side of the story but not Amy or Adam's. I'm not saying that they were right to do what they did, of course not. They handled the situation completely wrongly. But I don't think they should be condemned for being together but hey, maybe that's just me.

 

Its a tricky case though because if they weren't condemned and didn't get crowd reaction I don't think I'd enjoy them as much as I do on screen because they wouldn't have gone for this storyline!

It's only been like two months, I didn't realize there's only a certain time period allowed to mourn the end of a relationship with the woman you loved.

Neither group is taking the high ground here. But this is not Matt making a spectacle. This is Matt reacting to the WWE making a spectacle of what got him fired. Let's get that straight.

 

And if I remember the timeline of events properly, which I may not, Matt got his return held back before he started complaining because of the situation with Edge and Lita.

I really think the main reason people are siding with Matt on this is that they enjoyed his character more than Edge's character.

 

If you remember, when Meltzer first broke the story that a married wrestler was sleeping with a diva and the office was looking to take action, everyone was like "oh, leave them alone; it's their personal life." It's only when we found that a former smark favorite was getting cheated on that things went to shit.

 

Honestly, if anyone handled things wrong here, it was the WWE. Matt Hardy was pretty damn over for someone who never got that big of a push, and he was proficient in the ring as well. They should have just sent him to Smackdown in the draft, and let the whole situation die down.

From what I can see, Matt became more popular after people found out coz he was the "wronged" party.

For those of you who said "fire Lita", how could WWE fire Lita and not Edge? Because she's not a draw? Edge is as much as, if not more, in the wrong than she is. He'd still get heckled anyway.

She's an awful wrestler, her appeal as a strong female in WWE is gone, she's a bad actress (therefore her heel run, after this intial run with Edge, will be a complete disastor), and isn't the top level of eye candy out there, if you get my drift.

 

I don't care about what she did personally, and even without this story, I still don't see any reason to keep her after this angle runs out. I don't think either 3 of the parties should have gotten fired over this in particular though. If they were to get fired, it should be over business related aspects. Maybe that's why Matt did get fired. Maybe WWE thought he was screwing around with business because this story did get leaked on his site.

He got over without a huge push (or a push at all, really), which is something a good half of the WWE roster will never do. He moved to Raw to be with Lita, and wound up playing second fiddle to her. Then she cheats on him with a friend, and he loses his job?

Its just he complains and whines about it in the media - in the public eye, which the WWE told him not to do - then he complains when WWE do turn Lita heel.

 

Personally, I don't know why he was watching. If my ex and ex best mate were on TV, were on the same match and strong indications were that they were gonna get together, I wouldn't have watched it or would at least have switched off before the match.

 

It sounds like people who complain when they "accidentally" get hold of a porn movie but watch it all the way through anyway coz "they can't believe what they're seeing!"

If that is the case then pretty much every wrestler is the village bike. You are not going to tell me that Matt Hardy didn't fuck his share of ringrats or coworkers in his day. That is probably why no wrestlers are too judgemental, cause seriously, we are talking about a group of tall, muscular, sometimes goodlooking, well paid atheletes traveling from town to town together. With a few honest to goodness good guys, there is a WHOLE lot of fuckin going on. And at YOUR work place, if everyone was in shape and rich, there would be alot of fucking going on between coworkers.

What I am saying is that being a young man in the wrestling business, Matt Hardy probably has just as many lurid stories to tell as anything he heard about Lita. It would be more of a case of if I am serious about it and I was a super duper slut, then she might be serious about it too. And for the most part, she might have taken it serious.
