Guest QUP2CME Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Like most of you guys I've really enjoyed the character Christian has ben portraying over the last couple of months or so. I think his promo last night on Raw was pure GOLD. His fan base is increasing as we can see with all the "Peeps" in the crowd. So my question is this. Should WWE move Christian over to SD or will that hault his momentum. It seems that SD is on a slow slide and apart from Carlito, Angle, Eddy, Rey and John Cena little interest me on that brand. Big Show is stale. i have never been a fan of JBL. If he stays on Raw he will forever be in HHH's shadow whether he is a heel, Face or plays a tweener. On SD he could have an AWESOME fued with Cena that would finally elevate him to main event status. ATM though as a heel he would have Booker T and Big Show as face foes and that's about it. And we are all sick of Booker V Christian. On Raw he has the likes of Benoit, HBK, Batista, Benjamin and many more. I guess it all depends on who ends up where and whether Christian stays heel or turns face. Thoughts...
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Christian has gone as far as he can on Raw. He might still have feuds with Benoit and maybe Edge he could take part in, but he'd just end up in the same place he is now. On Smackdown, he could be in a main event feud with Cena and he'd have a real chance of being seen as more credible and rising up the ladder, which is something that isn't going to happen for him on Raw. Christian can do more, and be worth more, on Smackdown.
Guest gameplayer Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Agreed, Christian should definitely move to Smackdown. He has been misused for so long on raw that "intercontinental title contender", and "comedic midcarder" hangs over him like a dark cloud. Smackdown would be a fresh start for him, and hopefully where his smaller stature would not prevent him from main event status as it seems to on raw.

cbacon 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 (edited) If Christian is to have a program with Cena, he'd first need to go over a ME face on SMDN, relatively clean. I'm not sure how they could go about this unless they somehow convince Taker to put him over. Edited June 1, 2005 by C-Bacon
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Has Christian always been on Raw? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, he jumped with the rest fo the Un-americans. He was orgianally on SD.
Guest QUP2CME Report post Posted June 1, 2005 I'm pretty sure Christian's been on Raw ever since the split. I have two problems if he moves to SD: 1. If he fueds with Cena he'll play the heel role. After his fued with Cena who is their he can go up against? 2. ATM on Raw he is a midcarder. If he went staright into on ME program with Cena wouldn't that make their champ and make the SD brand as a whole look weak?
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Has Christian always been on Raw? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure Christian started on Smackdown, but was one of the first people to jump over to Raw. There was a group who all jumped at the same time, right around when Jericho crossed over, IIRC.
cbacon 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Ya, Christian was tag champs with Storm on Smackdown before jumping to Raw with Test. IIRC, they brought the World Tag straps with them
Guest gameplayer Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Christian does need a face to put him over on Smackdown before any potential feud with Cena should began. Usually, the Undertaker doing anything to put anyone over is out of the queistion. If Christian was even going to be considered for main event material, I believe first he should go through booker t and Rey Mysterio
keith6601 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 I'd love for Christian to bounce back and forth during the draft. It would allow him to stir up trouble with everybody on both rosters and I can only imagine how good his promos would be about both shows wanting him. zyon 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Christain should go to Smackdown, but many things can cause faults on rather it is successful or not. 1. Tomko- The WWE needs to find a way for Tomko to jump with Christain since having Christain without his "problem solver" is like having peanut butter without jelly. The only way for Tomko to not join is to have him turn against Christain, but that would cause the death of kittens world wide. Personally I believe Christain could actually be more of force without Tomko holding him back, but the chances of the WWE screwing up a lone Christain push is high...not even HHH is on his own. 2. Cena Feud- Throwing Christain into a feud with Cena right away could work, but I wouldn't mind him getting a few victories on Smackdown before jumping into the feud. Also the outcome of the feud is probably going to have Cena winning which just sucks. The feud will be good, but he could end up being like The Big Show except he won't he be a transitional champion. 3. Character and JBL- Firstly Christain's character can not sustain a huge change, but really JBL has done a good job of berating Cena and has his comedy roles well. Yes Christain is GOLD, but JBL on the mic isn't half bad. I could see them taking heat from each other. 4. Longevity- Sure the first couple months of the Captain being on Smackdown could be cool, but then what? Will he just become The Big Show and wonder around in the midcard or will the WWE keep him in the upper card. Either way Christain's other programs has a mix of promising and suckiness. Rey Jr. program could be good, but Undertaker coming back to squash CCC would be horrible. The WWE has a gold mine in Christain who I don't think will reach Rock levels, but they have a guy the people want to pop for the WWE just hasn't given them a reason to care. Guest QUP2CME Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Most of the matches i'd pay to see involve Christian facing heels which won't work if he himself is one. Christian V Eddie G Christian V Kurt Angle And yes a Christian V JBL mildly interest me just for the promos leading up to it
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Christian is an average wrestler, so this isnt a dream match thing. Its a potential kick ass fued with Cena.
Guest Thrashist Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Christian's my favorite part of Raw, and I really don't watch Smackdown..so I'm mixed on this because I know he'd be more successful there. Oh well, looks like I'll have to start watching Thursday nights.

That's why i'd like Christian the likes of Eddie G and Angle.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 If they do Christian/Cena right off of Christian's jump to Smackdown it'll expose the fuck out of both of them.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Christian should just call Cena out continually, like Cena did Brock. Keep up the "You're a Poseur!" stuff. Cena ignores it and does his thing, but Christian takes it too far.
Si82 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Christian should probably switch to Smackdown becuase, as has been said before, he has gone as far as he can on Raw and he has the built in feud with Cena. However, once the Cena feud is over then what after that? Booker T? Big Show? I don't really want to see those matches to be honest.
Dark Age 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 (edited) You all seem to forget that OTHER wrestlers would go to SD with Christian, so he can feud with those guys, too. Christian, Jericho and Shawn all REALLY need the switch, top of the card alone. Maybe Kane, too, though I can't see him fitting on SD. Put him over Shawn, Book, Rey and Jericho (perhaps in a match that turns Jericho heel, and puts he and Christian back together) and he'll have cred. Christian, that is. Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 2. ATM on Raw he is a midcarder. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 At this point Christian has to go to SMDN if for no other reason to have some kind of payoff for him constantly badmouthing the show and Cena in particular. I'd bring him in and do the slow burn bit, have him constantly trash Cena and pick up a few victories to establish himself. Just calling out the main eventers can get a guy over....hell it worked for Austin in 1996.
Dandy 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Don't forget RVD should be back by the time Christian is finished with Cena. Doesn't matter which one is heel or face, that would be a good feud I think. They could even do a double turn if done right. Both are cocky, arrogant characters that could compliment each other in the ring during matches.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2005 Curry, that'd draw heat off the charts. It seems like stuff Piper would do 20 years ago. When RVD gets back he logically fits into this whole Eddie/Rey storyline, given he tagged with Rey before his injury and also his past history with Eddie. Cena needs a feud other than JBL, and his rivalry with Christian has already been established enough. Let Christian be Cena's next opponent. Besides, Christian's never going to escape the ubiquitous shadow of Triple H on Raw, so switching back to SD (and changing his name) will be the only way he can truly progress. Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted June 4, 2005 I would like Eddie to be the guy that makes Cena look like a million bucks at Summerslam. Christian should jump, but not fued with Cena right away. He needs to go over a couple guys to get some cred. Go over Rey, Show or Booker T
