Fuzzy Dunlop 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 That stupid asshole Mark Buehrle claims one of the greatest pitchers of all time, Greg Maddux, throws a spitball, and that's why he's been successful all these years.

Fartsauce 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 What's with all the insanity in baseball lately? Clint Barmes falling down a flight of stairs, Barry Bonds being accused of racism, Jose Guillen going nuts on Mikey, Carl Everett dissing gays. What's next, Ray King of the Cardinals attacks an elderly women for smelling bad?

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 1. It could have been Mike Remlinger. 2. It could be true. Lots of pitchers throw spitballs.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-ssep17.html I can’t get myself in trouble because he’s on the North Side. I don’t know personally, but I’m just saying from years of experience that he’s had success that he very well may be using something.

Fuzzy Dunlop 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2005 During the Whtie Sox post game tonight, he totally backed down, just kept saying "What's the big deal?", and eventually said "you know, I don't know, but I hear stuff from people around the league, you know." And he said he doesn't want Greg Maddux calling him.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2005 Doctoring a baseball makes it travel in ways that would not normally travel. It'll throw off the balance, and you could have what's like an 85 mph knuckler. Funny a Cubs fan calling a White Sox pitcher a douche. Very unbiased of him. Well since you've adopted the White Sox as your team for the year, with the A's playing poorly and the Cubs looking mediocre, I'd expect you to be defensive. But I think anyone just saying "yeah Maddux throws a spitball" would get called a douche. To make sure I'm less biased, I'll also point out that God Among Men Greg Maddux couldn't get out of the 4th against the Marlins on Wednesday. Where was that spitball when we lost 15-5? Fuzzy Dunlop 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2005 Ryan Dempster responds. "Basically I use snot if I have it," Dempster said. "Mark, you caught me. I'm glad, with your busy schedule, you had nothing else to do but imply I was using spit on the ball." Actually, Buerhle was busy Friday, pitching the White Sox to a 6-0 victory over the Dodgers at U.S. Cellular Field, but his off-day remarks on WSCR-AM sure started a slimy saga, although he said it wasn't "that big a deal." "He must get bored in-between the four days off," Dempster said before the Cubs played the Yankees in New York. "As a [former] starter, I can appreciate that. "Doing the relieving thing, I don't have enough time to think of things like that. Although I know that one of the White Sox players, I heard, is using some sort of atomic bomb in his jockstrap." ant_7000 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2005 I find it funny that the Chicago press hypes Wood and Prior, but Buehrle is the most reliable out of three, and ChiSox pitching is a better than the Cubs. In General Cubs=Overrated

That shows an interest in the White Sox, the MAJORS' leading team.

Also, nobody really cares about the White Sox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I care about the White Sox fuck the Cubs, Only reason fans go to Wrigley is because its event and baseball is secondary. If it wasn't for the Tribune owning WGN White Sox would get a fair amount televised games around here. I get tired of Cubs getting all attention but yet the White Sox have better seasons than them. Thats okay cuz the Sox will get all up the Cubs ass this weekend AGAIN!!

Thats okay cuz the Sox will get all up the Cubs ass this weekend AGAIN!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's the eloquence and coherence you only find from a White Sox fan. As for WGN, they're showing less baseball across the board this year than last, thanks to Comcast taking all the games. Ideally, the White Sox could have CSN all to themselves and the Cubs could get all the national coverage. That's fair.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2005 I agree that not a lot of people care about the White Sox, but can you blame them? They have been sucking for a long while. While I'm a White Sox fan, I will always be wary of their performance. I can see how the nation, if forced to choose between Cubs and White Sox, would pick the historically known Cubs. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2005 Hey, the Cubs had been sucking even more than the White Sox. I, too, am wary of the Cubs doing well, because they usually find a way to mess it up. So yeah, Reinsdorf has both teams performing better than ever. This could be interesting.
