Exslade ZX Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 He's either really hurt, or selling hardcore. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It looks to me like a little bit of both. Like the stumbling after punching..looked like selling, but when he almost fell off the rope, that looked a little like he was just shaky..for real. WTFUCK!? Shelton was a few days from beating Rock's reign too I believe. Just what the hell...
Conspiracy_Victim Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Holy crap they actually had Shelton drop the belt to Carlito. It's deja vu all over again.
jwpeer Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Does this set up a re-win at vengeance for Shelton?
tominator89 Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 At least they can play up the injury resulting in the loss.
The Dames Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 He did it again! CHEATING to Win the midcard title in the first night! Dames
Precious Roy Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Well, this completely sucks. The writers must have done some BAD acid last night.
AndrewTS Posted June 21, 2005 Author Report Posted June 21, 2005 "You thought Orton was overpushed and undeserving? You ain't seen nothing yet!"
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Hands up anyone who is actually surprised that an eight-month IC Title reign was pissed away with no build up?
Guest Mosaicv2 Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Nice for WWE for destroying Benjamin's heat... hmmm?
ChrisMWaters Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 And thus, Carlito becomes...IIRC...the first man to win both the United States and Intercontinental Championships in less than a year's time.
BorneAgain Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Does Shelton have any reason to stay on Raw anymore?
The Dames Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Funny how we were all Carlito marks until about 30 seconds ago, huh. Dames
Guest JMA Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I liked how the blown spot was worked into the story of the match.
AndrewTS Posted June 21, 2005 Author Report Posted June 21, 2005 Hands up anyone who is actually surprised that an eight-month IC Title reign was pissed away with no build up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *Raises hand* I'm either gullible or made the mistake of giving WWE too much credit.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 And thus, Carlito becomes...IIRC...the first man to win both the United States and Intercontinental Championships in less than a year's time. Also the first guy to win titles in both of his debut matches LOL.
jwpeer Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Funny how we were all Carlito marks until about 30 seconds ago, huh. Dames <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm still a mark for him...if he had won it after a feud of some sort with some build-up and they had exchanged the title a few times, I'd be totally into it. But unless they're setting Shelton up for a world title run (EXTREMELY UNLIKELY) than this makes little sense.
Ted the Poster Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Funny how we were all Carlito marks until about 30 seconds ago, huh. Dames <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wasn't. I still wonder why some are.
Human Fly Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Hopefully this is setting up Shelton moving to Smackdown and into the ME scene. Somehow I doubt it. What a waste...
Zetterberg is God Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Hands up anyone who is actually surprised that an eight-month IC Title reign was pissed away with no build up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *Raises hand* I'm either gullible or made the mistake of giving WWE too much credit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ditto.
Dips Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 They couldn't really have him losing in his first match on Raw could they?
Guest Askewniverse Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 FUCK!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What was the point of putting that in spoilers?
The Dames Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 The guy beat Cena for the U.S. Title in his debut...and in his debut on Raw, he beat Shelton for the IC Title. Even if he's jobbed out for the rest of his career, you can't take that away from his record. Dames
