Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2007 Project64 was your only option for the longest time. I'm assuming it still is. Speaking of which, shit, I never finished Paper Mario. Granted it emulated for shit, but I still didn't finish it.

Guest Smues Report post Posted December 28, 2007 I'm getting desperately close. I think I might break down and buy a PS3 sometime soon. Someone talk me out of it, please? I'll try: You're paying for a Blueray player you may never use A zillion different models with different features Only the 60 GB model has hardware emulation for PS2 games and the PS3 library still is fairly lacking No rumble support for the controller yet The second you buy it they'll probably slash the price again and release another model with less features yet again They don't believe in gimmicks so please buy the eye of judgement RIDDDDGGGEEEEE RAAACCCEEERRRR
fazzle 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2007 I'll try: You're paying for a Blueray player you may never use Point. I'm still not sure if I'll ever get on the "next gen" DVD bandwagon A zillion different models with different features I'll just go for the cheap one Only the 60 GB model has hardware emulation for PS2 games and the PS3 library still is fairly lacking I don't give a damn about PS2 emulation. I have a PS2 for that No rumble support for the controller yet I HATE rumble. I turn it off on pretty much every controller The second you buy it they'll probably slash the price again and release another model with less features yet again Probably. Hell, I'll probably wait for another price cut anyways. They don't believe in gimmicks so please buy the eye of judgement Screw Eye of Judgment. I haven't been following it too much, but if I'm right, you have to buy this game with the camera which makes it cost more, right? Then actually BUY booster packs, right? Yeah, I'll just stick with Culdcept for my geeky card gaming needs RIDDDDGGGEEEEE RAAACCCEEERRRR So, that's 3 of your points I disagree with, 3 that I do agree with, and 1 that's just a lame nonsense played out joke. So..meh.

dubq 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2007 Mr. T and Shatner? Blizzard really nailed their targer audience with those two choices. I hate WoW, but fair play to Blizzard on that call. I think they also have Mini Me shilling for WoW as well, but who cares about him? Kid: Are you Mini-Me? Mini-Me: Yeah, I'm Mini-Me. Kid: ...no you're not. fazzle 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2007 So whats making you want to buy one? A large part of it has to do with the fact that I'm sick of fucking around with my 360. The damn thing has worked maybe a total of 3 months out of this year.
luke-o 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2007 Then get a Wii. Seriously, it has a much better catalogue of games then people give it credit for.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 Off of Best and Worst Box Art of 2007 How is that real? How did someone not get sued? Edit: It may be foreign box art (UK I think), but still?
fazzle 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 Sued over what? That's Noel Edmonds, the host of the UK version of Deal or No Deal.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 Sued over what? That's Noel Edmonds, the host of the UK version of Deal or No Deal. In my edit, I figured that out sort of, but it still looks like such a cheap ripoff of the US version, someone should be sued or something..
luke-o 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 Cheap rip-off? The UK show came first.
muzz 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2007 Off of Best and Worst Box Art of 2007 How is that real? How did someone not get sued? Edit: It may be foreign box art (UK I think), but still? I don't entirely agree with that list. The SupCom and Crysis box art are fine. The special edition Crysis box is especially nice. Orange Box shouldn't be included, because you want to get across how much is in it, which doesn't leave much room for much else.
Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2007 Dumb customer of the Day goes to: Picture the scene, its 9am in the morning, we've just opened. Enter a rowdy customer at high pace, carrying a big bag under his arm. "I WANT A REFUND ON MY PS3!" He demands. I look at the guy, he can't be serious. Like we'd have £300 cash in the floats first thing in the morning. Yellow teeth, Nicotine smelling little cock face who wanted to return his PS3. "It doesn't turn on," he claims. "Well, it did once, then it blew up. I want me 300 quid back now, so I can just give it to me kid." "Hmm, odd," I exclaim. "We've never had any PS3's returned for 'blowing up' before, in fact, we've hardly any returned." I continued to explain, unpacking his PS3. "What yee doing, man?" The little infestation of life shouts. "I'm going to test the machine." "Well if it works or not, I'm having a refund, I haven't bought it all the way back here for nothing." "I'll be the judge of that." I say under my breath. "What?" "I can't give you a refund without seeing the fault." "I think you can." "Not really, if I see a fault, I'll replace the PS3 with a new one for you." "No way, I WANT A REFUND!" So I test the PS3 and sure it enough, the power doesn't turn on at all. It would appear the little knobface is telling the truth, however, his smugness is overwhelming - something isn't right. "Well, I'll swap the machine over for a new one for you." "Nah, I want my money back." I start to pack the PS3 back up when I notice... "Hang on, your plug has no fuse in it..." I get a new power cable try it out and his PS3 works fine, customer swears at me, I tell him to leave. End of boring story.
luke-o 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 We used to have people like that all the time in Pompey Gamestation. We were the closest shop to three counsil estates too so we used to get the scum of the earth.

Thoth 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2008 I see parents willing to buy whatever tripe (Disney games, etc) their kids want. Used to make me sick. On the other hand, some of these kids are 5 and 6... I don't know if they would even know what a good game was.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2008 I'm not going to even bother trying to get my kids in to video games until they're at least 8 or 9. My daughter is 5 and she'd never be able to even begin to grasp the concept of using a 360 controller (hell I apparently couldn't...it was a faulty wire, Thoth!) MrRant 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2008 My kiddo (who is 5) plays Super Rub a Dub on the PS3, Rock Band (the singing part) on the 360 as well as Beautiful Katamari (the demo). Oh, and she plays Wii sports with me as well as the original Super Mario Bros. Edit: And she plays her copy of Nintendogs on my DS.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2008 I can see it with a Wii or a DS since those have kid friendly controls. I have neither.
EricMM 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2008 Awww. Keep on trying Black! The Wii would be choice because you could just keep downloading the classics and keeping her entertained.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2008 Gamers, a chain of local Gamestop-ish stores here in Nebraska and Iowa has Wiis in-stock, but they're a $440 bundle that comes with some animal games. Fun for her, I guess, not so much for dad.

10 Pounds 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2008 I'm not that big of an online gamer. There was a time where I played SOCOM II with friends but that's pretty much about it, most of the people online are morons anyway. I'm trying to give it another shot since I got CoD 4 for PC during the Holidays and everyone is raving about how good the online mode is. It may have been 2 or 3 years since I've last played online but it's still the same deal : Is there such a thing as a server where people just play instead of acting all "omfg j00 r sooooooo gay stfu n00b" ? Seriously, it's like everyone out there is a stupid kid passing himself as an internet bully trying to get "respect". I once made the terrible, horrible mistake of asking if this was a kid's server with everyone calling each other gay, retard and stuff and there actually was a vote ban against me because of it. So are all online players in junior highschool or are there actually intelligent, respectful people out there ?
Thoth 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2008 My nephew is about 4 and a half, and he loves games. Not really good at them, but likes them. The first game I think he actually "got" was the original Mega Man. I didn't want him to play it very long for fear of crushing his soul, though.
