Renegade Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Both the PS1 Clock tower games are shit, but CT3 on the PS2 one isnt half bad if you like clock tower. Or better yet go for Haunting Ground on the PS2, similar theme but alot better.
Guest T®ITEC Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Once you get the lightsaber the combat changes quite drastically, it actually becomes fun once you toy around with the force powers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dark side is still more fun. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dark side is more fun, but I wish that some of the faces had changed a little more than they did upon becoming evil. The bald Chinese guy really should have been sporting some Malak stripes, damn it. On an unrelated note, both endings sucked.
Renegade Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 I dunno, seeing Zal kill Mission was too chilling for me to enjoy it. Also dark side was too straightforward for my liking. Better get cracking at kotor 2 soon.
Black Lushus Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 I'm playing through KOTOR a second time, going all darkside...I haven't played in over a month though...that damn water planet is boring as shit and takes way too long...

Better get cracking at kotor 2 soon. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I loved Mission, and wanted her to be my evil sidekick . Although that demise was mildly cool, I guess. I still have absolutely no interest in KotOR2, unless they've released an unglitched PC version. The light side ending was... typical, y'know, and lame. The dark side ending was pretty unsatisfying. Ooo, a bunch of random morons chanting my name. Goodie. Better than the movie ripoff that was the light side ending, though. Manaan does take forever, especially underwater. They could have allowed your character to move just a fraction quicker.
Black Lushus Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Manaan, that's the name...yeah the underwater part is exactly what I'm talking about, just slow and tedious...oh and the trial sidequest thing goes on and on forever...
Renegade Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 I was quite pleased about getting all the math questions right when decrypting the sith card on Manaan. Never expected to see a log question in an rpg.
Black Lushus Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 oh, the 3 electric prong puzzle on Korroban (that's the name right?) was about as tedious as it can get as well...
Renegade Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Oh yes, agreed with that. So pointless. When fighting Malak I realised I had no force powers to destroy the jedi capsules. So I had to fight him over and over again. Luckily I had well over 50 advanced medpacs and 100 normal medpacs, and with force resistance none of his force powers can mess you up. Also I beefed up my 2 sabers. He went down quite easily. EDIT: And I shot myself up with as many steroids as I had.
Black Lushus Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 yeah, I will definently say that the entire Star Forge segment really does kick mega ass...
Renegade Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Especially if you have force wave and destroy droid, you can kill anything so easily in that stage.
{''({o..o})''} Posted August 12, 2005 Author Report Posted August 12, 2005 I had forgotten how fun Harvest Moon could be.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 I had forgotten how fun Harvest Moon could be. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DAMN straight. I used to play that on N64 all the damn time. Only tedious part for me was having to water the plants every day. Other than that, FUN game.
AndrewTS Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 That CAW alliance site is pretty incredible. I thought DoR's CAW sucked--guess it was me.
Use Your Illusion Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 I've recently just gone back to Final Fantasy X again for another run-through. Or, as it should be known in PAL countries, Final Fantasy: We Like Borders. God damn, it's still an awfully pretty game. Shadow Hearts II still owns it, though.
Black Lushus Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 for all the bashing FFX got, I actually liked it...the story was pretty good, the characters were pretty interesting (yes even whiney ass Tidus) and the ending was kind of a tear jerker (okay so I didn't cry but it was a pretty sad ending)...oh and like UYI said, it was visually beautiful...

Auron is still one of the better characters introduced in this generation of games (IMO, no flaming please) and can't wait to see him in KH II. Yunalesca was still a pain in the ass bitch fight though.

The lead-up to Yunalesca (going through Zanarkand) was awesome. Anyways, I liked X too. Shadow Hearts II is better in some ways, but one aspect X does better if the environments. Much bigger, more varied; when you wandered around Luca, it felt like you were in a big town. Walking around Paris in SH2, not so much. I wants me some SH3.
DrVenkman PhD Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 After a really good run through most of round 1, better than Character Battle's I - III's opening rounds, picking Square characters in CB IV is kicking my ass in the winding down of the opening round.

Jericholic82 Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 The most bizzare CAW I think I've ever seen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you see the banana man that HCTP had as a premade caw? I used it and named him "Banana Man" and gave him a dancing entrance and some goofy taunts.
Anya Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 Some pics of my games http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games018.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games016.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games015.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games011.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games012.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games013.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games014.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games005.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games006.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games007.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games010.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games001.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games002.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games003.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games004.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a142/Anyanka7/Games017.jpg
{''({o..o})''} Posted August 13, 2005 Author Report Posted August 13, 2005 Links didn't work, you need to replace the abrieviated "a...a7" with the full form.
Guest Askewniverse Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 How can you afford all of those games? And find room for all of those cabinets?
DrVenkman PhD Posted August 14, 2005 Report Posted August 14, 2005 You are living my dream (although my dream doesn't involve MK4... at all).
