All the near moves look like they're the Big Show/others' aerial moves.

 

The new double-team move looks sweet. Is that La Resistance's old move?

 

The turnbuckle/Jericho dropkick is nothing new...

 

That entrance looks pretty good.

I've heard some wierd reports (via gaming ring forums) of a glitch that when irish whipping wrestlers into the ropes/corner that they don't run, they just glide across the ring. I hope this is fixed for the NTSC version...

Yea, that's the same reason I was disappointed they didn't include Yoko when they put the WM IX arena in the game. It'd be cool to have the Hart-Yoko match and then maybe a Yoko-Hogan match to relive history. That's why I say if the WWE wanted to release a legend's game they'd have TONS of stuff at their disposal for it.

 

As far as unlocked the Legends is concerned I'd probably go in this order:

 

DiBiase

Bret Hart

80s Hogan

The Rock

Steve Austin

Mankind

 

Then it's just random between two more Hogans, Jimmy Hart, and the JYD all of which are four Legends I didn't want to see in the game at all. I mean c'mon WHY would I want to play as Jimmy Hart in a wrestling video game instead of someone like Mr. Perfect, Yokozuna, Vader, or something like that. Hell, Old School Undertaker would've been better. I guess they decided that Jimmy's rating in the 60s would lead to some fun matches with the divas or something.

Question: do you need to use your Shark every time for something like this to stay unlocked, or can you unlock it once and just save to the memcard?

 

Try a accesory called the Sharkport, which uses a PC or Mac along with your PS2 to get roster saves, CAW's (even though they'll be available to trade online) and card saves. With that, you can save Jake onto your memory card once and it'll be there forever.

Visit Gamingring.com. They have answers to all sorts of questions like that. Ideally, from what I've heard, there are challenges to beat in order to unlock stuff like that. Ie: win a battle royal with only legends, or something, etc.

from what i can tell, i'd have to register to view the gamingring site and i figured someone that already has the game here, could easily answer that question for me since i'm sure they've already browsed the CAW features.

I pray to god I get the game today but I'll probably have it this Monday That arena looks awesome, I wonder if there are other kinds of parts you can go to in that arena since it's outside. As far as the legends go:

You can't buy all Legends straight off.

 

Andre, Bret, Bulldog, JYD and Mankind can be bought immediately. Hogan is available from the start, no buying. You get Austin as a character and 80's Hogan in ShopZone by completing Season as a RAW character. Hollywood Hogan appears in ShopZone by completing Season as a Smackdown superstar...and, I assume, that also unlocks The Rock ala Austin. DiBiase can only be bought after completing, I think, the Legend Challenges. Ditto the Hardcore Title and Million $ Title. Jimmy Hart, you have to win the Tough Enough Trophy, which I haven't come across yet.

 

So, in other words, rethink those lists guys.

 

I have no idea how you unlock Mania 21, ECW and Mania IX arenas as they're not in ShopZone. I assume you get them by completing different Challenge sets. Also, there's quite a few moves that need to be unlocked...and again, I have no idea how yet, as there's no Move Sets to buy in Shop Zone, so presumably it's a case of going through Challenge sets again.

No Angel's Wings, unless it has to be unlocked. The natural replacement, Edge's SitOut Edgecution, is in though.

Quite a few of the characters not playable in Season Mode do show up in storylines, like Eugene, Regal and Hurricane. The writing on the Season Mode is noticeably better than the writing currently, which is worrying, because they appear to have put more effort into creating interesting storylines (with some continuity no less) than they have in some while for actual shows.

 

Unless it's locked, there's no Ego Trip on the game, aside from the La Res double team version. Which kinda sucks. Still need to figure out how to unlock the ?????? moves though.

 

Joe's Muscle Buster is nifty, but rather than run and hit the move, you hit it from more of a standing position. Still cool. No Cattle Mutilation that I've seen, although it may be locked. There's also an indy style 'drop to one knee, short neckbreaker'. There is a knee to a seated in the corner opponent...no run-up though, just a side knee from standing next to them. There's a nice standing dropkick as a Rope Down move...infact, there's a lot of new Rope Down moves. Pity it's never been the easiest position to get an opponent in on Smackdown games.

 

GM Mode, you can't pick the winner. I can't figure out how to defend Titles in GM Mode matches yet which is bugging me.

From what I remember reading on GameFAQs you need to win story mode matches at WM21 and ECW ONS to bu ythose arenas.

Tomorrow I'll have it, yay I just want to chill today and think about tomorrow but thing is I have a damn test tomorrow When I have the game I'm going to play it all day long. First I'll do some normal matches to get the flow of the game and to see which wrestler I'll choose in Season Mode.

I've seen Jimmy Hart become RAW GM and Mankind becomes Sheriff of RAW. They both talk which is awesome and Mankind books Kane versus HHH for the World Title at WrestleMania

 

Then I saw Hurricane and Kane in the GM office and the Coach is Bischoff's "temporary replacement". He books Kane versus Ric Flair and Hurricane versus HHH in a World Title match, Hurricane says something funny, "holy career oppurtunity!".

 

I then see Vince McMahon naming Austin the RAW GM and they do the usual Austin/Vince talk. Austin is hired to take care of JBL who has been invading RAW.

 

Then Hogan takes out Eddie Guerrero, suddenly lights go out. Undertaker appears and Hogan grabs his urn but it doesn't effect Taker and Taker chokeslams Hogan and turns Heel. Eddie comes back and he says the urn is a fake one, he switched them. He is in cahoots with Taker and on Survivor Series Hogan is facing Taker in a Buried Alive match.

 

Well a couple of more videos that rock. The voice-overs have been REALLY good. They act the way they act in real life and they use the same words like Angle calling Hogan "bucko" and stuff like that. JBL calls himself a wrestling god etc....I'm thinking about becoming JBL first, because I think he has some good storylines, hopefully I can invade RAW then, he has a cool entrance and I like his promos.
