Don't know why people deny the great crowd response Hardcore Holly receives on Smackdown. Hardcore Holly has been getting great pops ever since his feud with Lesnar.

I think half the reason Holly's got pops as big as he does is because the people actually recognise him because he's been around so long. They don't know who someone like Rene Dupree is but they know Holly becuase they've had over 10 years to learn his name.

As much as Holly is over, Billy Gunn was just as over as Holly was.

 

Billy Gunn got bigger pops than John Cena, Rey Mysterio, The Dudleyz and even Rob Van Dam at the house show I attentended last year. The crowd just wents nuts for Gunn, and like.. swarmed the ring.

 

Thus meaning, I hope Holly is opening this school up cause he knows he's getting canned.

Also remember that a percentage of the audience, perhaps a large percentage are ones who became fans during the attitude era of 98/99 (sure alot jumped off the bandwagon, but there are alot still on who became diehards), during which Gunn Was higly popular and spotlighted, as was Holly(back in 99).

Getting pops on Heat or Velocity when you're one of the first name guys out doesn't mean jack. Hell, I heard Vis and Mideon get a massive pop when they were the Ministry of Comic Book Sales and they were *HEELS* during a Heat taping.

Billy is Great!!!!!!!!!

In all interviews with Bob he says Billy is his best friend, and in all interviews with Billy he says Bib is his best friend.

When these were tagging together was the best!

And yes I agree with "wrestlingfan4ever" Judgement day 05 is a good example.................no canned pops there.............That crowd went wild when he came out and was chanting his name through the whole match..........HE IS OVER WITH THE CROWD......................WWE just doesn't USE it
