BHK 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Edge and Kane have been at each other’s throats for months now. Ever since Lita helped Edge defeat her husband Kane in the Gold Rush tournament in May, these two Superstars have been trying to literally end each other’s career. Lita rubbed it in Kane’s face, threw her wedding ring down the toilet and got her marriage annulled. Edge and Lita then tried to get married live on RAW, but Kane did his best to ruin their big night. The Big Red Monster came out on top in their match at Vengeance as well, but the score was not entirely settled. They met again last week on RAW, this time in a steel cage. Thanks to the use of his trusty briefcase, Edge came out on top, but will he have the last laugh? This week the two bitter enemies will face off once again, this time in a Stretcher Match. Plus, John Cena overcame all odds and defeated Snitsky in a lumberjack match. RAW GM Eric Bischoff tried to stack the odds against Cena by hand-picking the lumberjacks, but Cena still came out on top. This week Chris Jericho will try to upstage Cena in a Battle of the Bands. Also, things are heating up in the 2005 Diva Search Contest. Last week Simona went home leaving Kristal, Elisabeth, Summer, Cameron, Leyla and Ashley. Who will go home next? Watch RAW to find out (Spike TV, 9/8 CT) Lita/kane is now officially the feud that never dies. At least I'll get gimmick match point sfor my fantasy team. Also, if they plan on going with HHH/Flair at SummerSlam still, I could see Hunter showing up tonight.
Guest JMA Report post Posted July 25, 2005 I hope the Cena vs. Bischoff feud doesn't last for much longer. Why does WWE want to continue to copy Austin vs. McMahon?
Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 I don't mind Kane/Edge to be honest, I think it'll be a fine match. I wonder if they will do another Matt Hardy run-in, last week was a very lame run-in although Edge's "Go back to the indies, asshole" comment was class and he cut a great promo before the match. I think Kane wins because I don't see Kane on a stretcher unless there is interference by another monster. I think Eugene will return tonight, Kurt Angle will have Matt Striker again possibly. The Battle of the Bands will suck but not as much as the Diva Search. We might see the Boogeyman debut as well, which will be hella fun. I think it'll be as good as last week, which wasn't very good. How can this show be any good? A long battle of the bands segment, the boring Diva Search, Kane/Edge IIIIMIUI and nothing more...probably another Carlito/Shelton rematch and please put Rob "the CONman" Conway on RAW this time... Rant over.
bradolson 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 I'm going to go along with several other people on here and think they are going to do the "Hardy is the ambulence driver" angle when Edge gets put on the stretcher/in the ambulence.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Prediction: Shelton Vs. Carlito Hulk and Shawn argue Diva Search wastes time Cena faces an "impossible test" Edge Vs. Kane Stupid Matt Hardy run-in I hate summer re-runs.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Diva Search wastes time I hate to admit it, but the Diva Search is the one thing that I actually care to watch on Raw tonight. I've literally given thought to taping the show and just FFing through everything else.
Danville_Wrestling 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Yea, I think Matt Hardy will be the ambulance driver. I imagine Shelton will lose tonight to Carlito in a "no countout/no DQ" match. Hell, knowing how last week's show was booked could we see a "inferno match" between Cena and the Boogieman?
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Woohoo, just got confirmation from the WWE P.R. people a little while ago that my comps are set for tonight. I'll try to check in with a live report around midnight.
Aero 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Battle of the Bands AND Kane vs. Edge? Yikes, this show looks really bad. I can't say I'm looking forward to it, especially if we're getting another Shelton-Carlito match.
Angle-plex 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Edge vs Kane will suck like all of their matches do. I hope to GOD that Hardy isn't driving/in the ambulance, as everyone and their mother is predicting it. The Battle of the Bands will be embarassing. The buildup to Jericho/Cena is getting to be as bad as Steiner/Triple H at Royal Rumble 2003. And If I see Carlito vs Shelton, Carlito/XXX vs Shelton/XXX, or any comination of a match that feature Carlito and Shelton, I'm quickly going to see what else is on TV tonight. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 The Battle of the Bands bit is dumb and I hope they actually battle and end up in pull apart brawl mode before any of the "musical" performances ever take place. Did no one in WWE learn from the mistakes of the West Texas Rednecks v. No Limit Soldiers feud from WCW? They won't be able to control that particular environment because it's music. People have their opinions about music and they won't be able to manipulate people to like Rap or like Rock music. Crowd responses will be interesting in that one. The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 I said last week that Matt will be/should be the ambulance driver (if there is one). The last stretcher match was just "push opponent across a line" on stretcher, and in an ambulance match you had to get them into it.... But hopefully Edge bleeds so bad that he is actually taken to an ambulance, and we get "Where To, Stephanie?" Version TWO-AH.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 So what are the odds that Jericho hits Cena over the head with a guitar (or drum)? If RAW sucks tonight (if?), and you have a sour taste in your mouth, you might want to stay on SPIKETV for UFC Unleashed. They are replaying Griffin/Bonnar, which is absolutely outstanding and has two guys going balls out for a UFC contract. http://www.spiketv.com/shows/series/unleashed/

Oh, and I agree about the Griffin/Bonnar match. I'm so glad that I watched that when it first came on.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 It's either Jericho hits Cena with a guitar, or Cena hits Jericho with his marketing staff, which is sort of like a singapore cane, only not. Cena's secondary weapon --- his more-talented producer.

SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Not just any hot dog eating contest, but a TV-14 hot dog eating contest with hot chicks. Will they be big hot dogs, or are the hot dogs scaled to reflect the side effects of steriod use? Can't wait to find out.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 It might be a nice change to have no one get attacked by a musical instrument of any kind. Guest *KNK* Report post Posted July 25, 2005 This show has complete trainwreck going for it. I will be slightly entertained at the moment but like a case of gas, it will pass* i expect nothing in terms of developing anything meaningful tonight and we will only get 3 minutes of another heatless IC title match and another horrific main event. *I am aware how dumb that sounded
Guest Quik Report post Posted July 25, 2005 I'm looking forward to Jericho's bands rig. Last time it was nothing but shitty Peavey cabinets and guitars. I would respect Fozzy a lot more if they gave a shit about tone, cause cheap amps and ply-wood guitars just don't cut it. Oh, and Matt's gonna run out wearing an ECW hat and a punisher shirt before the match and punch Edge once. Or he's gonna drive the ambulance off a cliff. Or maybe he'll bust out the piano wire. Could be anything, really.

They need to tease the ambulance driver and have the cameras follow the ambulance into the hospital where Edge is seen admited into the emergency room where, Matt Hardy is there in full gear and wide grin. Edge comes to and runs out of the hospital soaked in blood as Matt chases him.
