MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 You know what would've kept Obama's grandma from getting sick in the first place? Yep, Mitt Romney. Romneycare to the rescue! Palin is going to be on Glenn's show in about 20 minutes. But I think the bigger topic today is Barney Frank's "dose of Changinism" There are lots of rich people to tax! Just keep changing the definition of rich and they can tax just about everyone more.

Big Ol' Smitty 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Except for the first one is a real economic idea, and the other one is a non-funny joke that a knuckle dragging douchebag pulled out of his ass because he didn't know what the first one was.

You have to admit you at least had to listen to it more than once before you realized what he really said. But we're overlooking the main point which was that he said there were a lot of rich people to tax.

Its impossible because I haven't made such a post, because I have never bought into it. So please stop associating me with these idiots who are still harping along about that. Thanks a bunch! Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 It seems to me that the candidate who has actually implemented the most socialist policy so far is the one who has imposed a windfall profits tax on oil companies and redistributed that money to Alaska's rank and file. Talk about "spreading the wealth around".

EricMM 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Hogan, I don't really agree with you. I guess the question remains, does the oil underneath Alaska belong to America, America, or the oil companies that dig it up? Because, they certainly sell it to us at high prices, but its OURS, or at least ALASKA'S, initially, in my opinion. Her taxing big oil wasn't green by any stretch, and I don't really admire her for it since she just funneled the money back to Alaskans. Standing up to big oil, IMO, involves working against its aims by reducing demand for their product.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Why would he focus on PA? That's solid Obama. There's some rumblings out there that both campaign's internal poll numbers show a closer race in PA than the national polls we're seeing on realclearpolitics, which I think explains the decision. It's basically either win PA or have to win like 4 other smaller states that are trending Obama's way. He's campaigning heavily in "Hillary" districts (from the campaign). Its doubtful it works either way but its probably his last chance.
Just John 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 If Kerry could win Pennsylvania, I don't see why Obama wouldn't. I guess you could make a case for the racist vote, but Pennsylvania has enough urban and liberal university areas where Obama should gain new voters to help offset that. The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 ... Really? This is the GOP's future??!! Christ, they're more fucked than I originally had them. The only way they have a shot in '12 and beyond in the next 3 or 4 elections is if Obama pulls a Carter.
