Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 yup looks like that was a misspeak by Hume. Hume seemed a little bit depressed when I watching him. He was talking about the board they were using instead of the election.
Starks Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Virginia has closed in to a 3 point gap - McCain's lead has shrunk to 51-48.
bobobrazil1984 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 If Obama can take either Indiana or Virginia, that's a dagger to McCain's heart. McC can still stay in it if he wins both of those.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I'm shocked Obama might get Florida. The south has gotta be looking at Florida and going "YOU FUCKED IT UP FOR US MAN!"
bobobrazil1984 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 The Republican Panhandle is still out there for Florida though. McCain could easily grab it.
Starks Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Virginia now down to a 1 point gap, McCain holds the lead at 50-49. Stick a fork in him, he's done. The TV networks here in Australia have called it for Obama.
Jingus Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Anyone else getting sick of CNN's gigantic "PROJECTION~!" sound and graphic they keep doing? ...where are the holograms, grumble grumble
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I only saw one hologram. I was hoping all their pundits would be in virtual form.
The Niggardly King Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Who's that saucy black chick sitting with them Republican analysts?
Nightwing Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 DO YOU BELIEVE IN MOST LIKELY SCENARIOS?! YES!
Guest Smues Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I voted absentee because I'm in Nome right now, but people who went and voted here today told me that they are doing exit polling. The whole state gets a whooping 3 electoral votes, and Nome has like 3,000 people in it. Seems like a waste of time and money to me, but what do I know?
The Niggardly King Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Man, this is like an Ahmed Johnson squash match WEST VIRGINA McCAIN~! HE'S MAKING A COMEBACK!
bobobrazil1984 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 what site are you guys using to look at up-to-minute tallies? i'm going between a few but i want to settle on one.
Gary Floyd Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 If it makes you feel better Jingus, when people ask you why you didn't vote, just say "Joe the Plumber wasn't pandered to enough." Yeah, because you know anything about what I think. Quit complaining about me all the goddamn time, it's fucking creepy to be e-stalked like that. Uh, I was kidding, not picking on you. Don't be paranoid.
RepoMan Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 ABC projects Ohio to Obama. I feel a little bit of vinidiction for my failed get out the vote efforts for Kerry in the pouring rain four years ago.
The Niggardly King Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 How sad is this with Hank Williams... never seen so many complacent stone-faced white people in one room.
RepoMan Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 what site are you guys using to look at up-to-minute tallies? i'm going between a few but i want to settle on one. I'm flipping around franticly.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 what site are you guys using to look at up-to-minute tallies? i'm going between a few but i want to settle on one. CNN is a little bit behind but maybe they're fact checking. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/president/
jimmy no nose Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 CNN sound like they're holding their Ohio call for after the commercial break. They said they had a major projection coming up.
Anakin Flair Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 what site are you guys using to look at up-to-minute tallies? i'm going between a few but i want to settle on one. I'm on MSNBC.com. They have a map that updates every two minutes.
Jingus Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 The McCain supporters sure have looked much more sedate and less enthusiastic than the Obama crowd. I mean, even before the results started coming in. Of course, the Republicans being in this little room indoors and the Democrats being at this massive outside rally might have something to do with that. I don't know if Austin just got counted super-early or what, but the TX results are surprising me. Would expect the margin to be much bigger than currently projected. Uh, I was kidding, not picking on you. Don't be paranoid. I don't know if you mean to, but kidding and picking tend to look kinda the same from you. And paranoid? Who told you I was paranoid?! I know you didn't use your mind-reading machines on me, they can't get through my mighty tinfoil hat!
Nightwing Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Ohio has gone to Obama. John McCain needs to flip one of Kerry's states from 2004, such as Michigan, to win it all. The totals going for Obama look surprisingly large in Ohio, so I don't think I'm out of line to say that the shit Jennifer Brunner was pulling with the ACORN registrations certainly didn't help McCain. Let the unreality begin!!
Starks Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 what site are you guys using to look at up-to-minute tallies? i'm going between a few but i want to settle on one. The HuffingtonPost has a page with 5 vote counting widgets (CNN, MSNBC, DailyKOS, Google and CBS) Check it out at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/30/e...a_n_139361.html
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 CNN just called Ohio for Obama.
