Guest *KNK* Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Wonderful. Vince is just going after every offensive route possible as quick as he can.
Placebo Effect Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 I love this kind of crap. Now I'm actually going to watch Raw tonight.
Matt Young Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 My 2nd cousin (who is in his early to mid-40s, not sure exactly) Tom lives in Hollywood, but he attended high school in Virginia. I forget what he said the name of the school was. Anyway, I stayed at his apartment for the night after attending WrestleMania 21, and he brought out his yearbook and showed me a picture of Chris Chavis. I was like, "Holy shit, Tatanka!" (I knew his real name beforehand). Apparently, Chavis/Tatanka was hot shit at that school, and he stole the one girl my cousin Tom had been pursuing for 2 years. Tom got in a fight with Tatanka (and Tom is shorter than me- I'm 5'8") and got his ass kicked. Years later, when Tom had developed a semi-successful career photographing stars in the LA area, he ended up meeting Hulk Hogan on a shoot. After Tom asked if Hogan knew Chris Chavis, Hogan relayed a story going something like, "Oh yeah brother, me and Chris were down in Tampa, and we were drinkin' some fuckin' whiskey, brother, and drivin' around in my pickup truck. That son of a bitch fuckin' puked his damn guts out all over the back seat of my truck. Took me 3 days to get the smell out, and the stain was still there until I got rid of the God damn thing." I can't do the story justice, but my cousin's Hogan imitation was spot on. I hadn't laughed that much in a while. In conclusion, fuck you, Tatanka, you pseudo-tough, incapable of holding your liquor asshole.
CanadianChick Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Canadian Chick, you liked Tatanka in 1995, after he did the heel turn that basically killed his career? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uh, over ten years ago. Before the heel turn and the Million Dollar Corporation thing.
EdwardKnoxII Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Canadian Chick, you liked Tatanka in 1995, after he did the heel turn that basically killed his career? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought it did. Because, no matter what you think of him now the man was VERY over back in the day. Besides I always thought it was Lex that was going to turn and join the Million Dollar Man. But, I think a heel turn could have worked for him if they changed him up. Because when he turn heel he was still going by Tatanka and wearing the same costume and I think even using the same music. What they should have done when he turned heel was have him drop the Tatanka name and costume. Go by his real name of Chris Chavis and wear suits to show how much he sold out.

Guest Quik Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Oh man, I had a dream about Tatanka being in the Masterlock Challenge last night. This is creepy... I remember in the dream I was like "WTF, it's Tatanka. Why?" And then my alarm went off and i went to work. Let it be known, in the rare occasion that I have a wrestling dream, it comes true. I'm 1 for 1.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 According to prowrestling.com, the announcement does indeed concern Brock Lesnar and his role at Summerslam...
Team Angle Pusher Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 He's the special referee for Batista/JBL...now that would suck so bad and it's typical WWE booking. Instead of having Lesnar appear from the crowd unexpected and have a staredown with Batista they just throw him right into the feud without any real reason. ORRRRR Vince tells Lesnar to stick it and shoots on him. Or it's not about Lesnar and we will all cry.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 I think it's more like an official contract signing at Summerslam.
Fökai Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 How come the WWE has never booked a street-fight or falls-count-anywhere match at Mohegan Sun or a similar casino? Seriously, there are so many avenues the bookers could go down with that idea.

Seriously, there are so many avenues the bookers could go down with that idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I want to think they utilized the casino before with the 24/7 rule but I dont think they ever did. WCW never either despite running the Havoc ppv there for years.
Team Angle Pusher Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 I miss those days when Crash Holly was having a shower and some random midcarder popped up and attacked him. Or Hardcore Holly and Al Snow going into the lake.
The Niggardly King Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 I am hoping that Tatanka will be an evil casino owner, and try to buy the WWE from Vince tonight.

Seriously, there are so many avenues the bookers could go down with that idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It would require them to pay for the damages inflicted upon the machines and other various stuff. At this point, WWE cannot afford that.

notJames Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 They'll just use T-t-t-t-tanka in some casino skit where he's the guy at the door greeting everyone. He'll do his little Indian dance, beat a tomtom and say, "Hi-how-are-ya, hi-how-are-ya."

AndrewTS Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 I remember seeing Chavis/Tatanka's website a couple years ago. He sounded completely out of his gourd. Take one of the Warrior's rants (minus the politically skewed stuff, and comments about queerin'), throw in pseudo-Native-American mysticism, and that's the kind of garbage that was on that site. My link to it was lost when I had to restore my old computer, though. Some really funny stuff on there, though.

strummer Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 MOVIE STAR TO APPEAR ON RAW TONIGHT (AND NO, IT'S NOT ROCK) by Buck Woodward @ 5:56:00 PM on 8/1/2005 WWE.com has posted the following addition to their Raw Preview: Rob Schneider, star of Deuce Bigalow 2, will serve as special official for the Queen of the Mountain competition tonight on RAW.
Dangerous A Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Possible Lesnar appearance at Summerslam announcement- I'm feeling it. Tatanka participating on the show in any way shape or form- Definitely not feeling it.

If I were shilling, I'd have Soutter's big SWAT banner saying "Hey, join our efed~!!!LOL20005!!" I was giving an example of bravesfan's idea.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Relax, man. I should have put a next to that post. If Vince is indeed announcing Lesnar's return at Summerslam, I just hope this doesn't mean that JBL or HHH would come out to take the heat off Brock's return.

cabbageboy Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 On a side note I never understood why they didn't at least put the IC title on Tatanka in 93, if nothing else to justify his long undefeated streak. Then they could have had Shawn beat him in a rematch, he gets some extra cred for ending the streak. Instead they piss away Tatanka's streak on Ludvig Borga or someone.
gWIL Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 The last post on that messageboard that was linked said he had a heart attack.
CanadianGuitarist Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 The announcement will be that HHH is back, and the new #1 Contender. Fuck no, please. hope the announcement has something to do with Brock Lesnar. Fuck Matt Hardy. Agreed. Not if they remember the past and bring DiBiase out with him. One could only hope. My first thought was the diva search ... but they already used Sarge in the "Kamala" role from the 1st search. That wasn't actually Kamala last year, was it?

Where Uganda slammed his stick in time with RVD's theme.
