Bret Hart meeting WWE

Recommended Posts

Check out WWE.com, again, because they now have Bret's bio up on the main page.

A mere sighting of Hart at WWE Headquarters in August 2005, (regarding the possibility of an upcoming DVD), sent WWE fans across the Internet into a frenzy.

Let's start a rumor and see how they react to it.

I propose "Randy Savage in talks to face Ricky Steamboat at Wrestlemania XXII".

I easily solved the Hart Foundation puzzle on the wwe.com main page but I can't get the resulting video to play...

Just wondering if anybody else tried it with the same results?

I just did the Dusty puzzle and it worked for me. It's his pre-match promo from SummerSlam 90 where he talks about the missing Sapphire. Gotta love the retarded cameo by Duggan during it.

I did the Bret puzzle and the video worked. It's the ending to the tag title match at SummerSlam '90.

I'll be buying this on day one. Does anyone ahve any idea of a release date?

Match suggestions: (someone please tell me if any of these are already on other releases)

VS. Ric Flair (first WWF title)

Vs. British Bulldog (SummerSLam 92)

vs. Brainbusters (I forget the date of tihs one)

vs. Austin (WM13/SS96)

Canadian Stampeede 10 man

vs. Mr. Perfect KOTR 93 and/or SS91

vs. Owen WM 10

Vs. Micahels (either SS92, WM12, or SS97)

VS. Benoit WCW mayhem/Owen Hart tribute match

I'm at a loss for other WCW matches, as I stopped watching after I saw how he was being used so incorrectly. Were there any good ones?

WWE.com has just made it official. Bret Hart & WWE have agreed to a deal on the DVD. It's officially set in stone.

Thank God for that. Now I know the DVD will be done right.

Fantastic news.

Terrific news. Does this mean that the reported DVD title ("Screwed: The Bret Hart Story") is no more? If the DVD comes out with that name then I'd guess it was OK'd by the Hitman.

As for possible matches, I can't really begin to fathom all the great possibilities for this release. Hopefully they put his first WWF Title win, and you gotta figure that the WM13 match is a must, although that could be saved for another Stone Cold release in the future if WWE wants.

vs. Bulldog from Summerslam 92 and vs. HBK from Survivor Series 97 are both on Best of Confidential, vs. HBK from WM XII is on From the Vault: HBK, and the Owen Hart tribute is on Benoit's DVD set.

So, I'll be hoping for these matches among others...

vs. Ric Flair from Saskatoon (just for DVD quality)

vs. 1-2-3 Kid from Raw in 94 (never seen it)

vs. Mr. Perfect from KOTR 93 (never seen it)

vs. Undertaker from One Night Only (never seen it, although will be getting it soon)

10-Man Tag from Canadian Stampede (DVD quality)

vs. Austin from Survivor Series 96 (DVD quality)

Hopefully one of the provisions to Bret agreeing to work the DVD will be that they are only allowed to focus on the Montreal screwjob for a total of 10 minutes of the entire DVD. The rest of the content should be used as a celebration of Bret's storied career.

Saying that, I bet half or more of the DVD is spent on Montreal.

They appear to be in the WWE studios, I wonder if they did a sit down piece for the dvd?

I honestly expect this dvd to be 2 dvd's of wrestling career highlights and one dvd devoted to Montreal.

You are nuts if you think they wont and besides Bret loves talking about Montreal and now can tell his version to the wwe fanbase.

didn't he also hate McMahon over the whole Owen thing...let's set Montreal aside for a second...now all of sudden he's taking back all that he said in regards to his dead brother as well?

That photo is just surreal. It's like the first sign of the apocalypse or something.

However Bret feels about the part Vince played in Owen's death, I'm sure he has long since stopped hating Vince over it, just as he has stopped hating Vince over Montreal. This doesn't change how Bret feels about Vince's role in Owen's death, Bret has just moved on from the hate, which is a good thing, because keeping hold of hate for so long is not healthy.

And I hope whoever it was that said Montreal was a work was joking.
