I have a promo; I just forgot to send it in before I went to work. I guess I'll just post it since I just edited it to take place after the ME.

As for your comments, Landon; I'd suggest you worry about yourself and not me. If Wild and Dangerous ever got booked to defend the belts we would - worry about yourself and what you can do to make your own storylines shine. How about some people step up with some tag teams. Tag Team wrestling is an awesome aspect of Wrestling and E-wrestling; don't let this die. Form some teams, please!

Johnny: I have it on good authority that you, sunshine, are going to regret you ever said that...

When you don't realize you have a match until 1.5 hours AFTER the deadline, a 185 word match seems perfectly reasonable.

My apologies for making the Cortez/ELM match a quickie. I had begun work on the match Friday afternoon from work, but never sent myself a draft of what I had done for any weekend revisions. I wasn't around much on Sat. and Sun. as it was, so I only had what I wrote Friday and what I could scramble up yesterday to submit. I didn't want to outright beat ELM in a quickie match, as that's not exactly the fair way to get ahead, so I figured a non-finish involving our respective feuds (and ELM had asked that no matter what, I include something between he and Danny in my copy of our match) would work best.

At least you showed. Anything is better than nothing.

It's sad that it takes a snide comment to make people comment in the comment thread. But, just as I thought, that's the case.

Experiment over.

Now I just need to find out who to have a jab at to get people to actually comment on the show itself.

Eyes down, look in on:

THE OPENING PROMO

Awesome promo, that's the only way to describe it. From Hawke's insults of the crowd at the start (beautifully done) to Zyon's 'I try to tune out bullshit'. And I must say, Zyon vs Hawke sounds like a brilliant plan for Genesis. Clash of styles plus a somewhat established star vs the breakout rookie.

CRIMSON SKULL vs MARTIN HUNT

This is a perfectly fine debut. It's not an example of wrestling perfection, but it's the Crimson Skull - it shouldn't be. There's enough comedy in the match (even the little touches like them arguing about the Dance Squad, and for some reason the fact that the Dance Squad has capital letters makes me happy) to make it gel with the character, and 'oh my, the horror!'. A little bit campy, just like the Skull. Excellent.

GHOST MACHINE vs NICK BLUM

EWR eat yer heart out. I haven't seen one of these since the classic Manson/Spike encounter.

SPIKE & ZYON PROMO

ONe thing I don't like about this is the fact that EVERYONE backstage is portrayed as being against Spike, not just Flesher. Even the backstage crew and the refs. You'd think that enough of them would hate Flesher or something, but apparently not. I'm also not sure about SPike being the 'lone wolf', because it sounds a little forced. That being said, it gets Zyon over as a genuinely friendly, nice young guy and Spike as the slightly bitter one, and foreshadows future events(~!)

DEVON WALTERS vs MARCUS WARD

Hmm, a surprisingly aggressive start from Walters. Maybe that's because Ward has been an asshole before, involving ladders. Another perfectly fine match, this one showing a different side of the not-quite-so-pacifistic Walters.

LANDON PROMO

I'm still not quite sure why the whole Landon crying thing happened. Regardless, this is a trademark great promo from Landon (who let's face it, is so much better cutting a heel promo than a face one). The pause and the throwaway line about Philadelphian children is classic, classic. You go Landon. You might bitch about W&D, but you can cut a heel promo like few others in the company right now.

ZYON vs 'HOLLYWOOD' SPIKE JENKINS

I don't like King acting like a 'court jester', because let us not forget that it was him that Flesher modelled himself after - in essence, he was their first. I think they should treat each other as equals, rather than King calling Flesher 'sir'. However, Flesher's description of Spike as 'the one and thank God only Spike Jenkins' is great. The match is pretty good, I think it does a decent job of showcasing how Zyon's spot-tastic offence can be effective but Spike's ground-based stuff can be a bit more reliable. I also like the BIG LARIATOOOOO... THAT MISSESSSSOOOOO. And then of course Flesher causes the distraction allowing Zyon to get the win, which furthers the Flesher/Spike storyline nicely.

THE BEATDOWN

The fact that King threw in 'feel the swankness' makes this segement all on it's own.

JJ JOHNSON vs SCOTT PRETZLER

The signs at the start are gold. Absolute frickin' GOLD. And from then on... it's just awesome. I don't know if this was a purposeful job, a co-write or a genuine winning effort from J3. All I know is that it is awesome. The moves, the wrestling, the commentating, even King stealing the little girl's crayon and justifying himself. If I didn't know better, I've had said that someone like Flesher had written this. But you shouldn't disrespect the lariat, boy. There's a big bad Maori in the history of this fed who wouldn't like you.

TODD CORTEZ vs ELM

Todd said it was a rush job, and I'm outta time. Maybe i'll pick it up later.

A few comments on my opening promo:

Partial credit goes to Zyon, as I made sure he had a chance to edit my first draft in order to more accurately portray the character. This should be fun.

Also, the guy stealing hubcaps from the same car over an hour...true story. I actually saw a guy stealing a car a piece at a time along state route 611 between Willow Grove and Philly.

Opening Promo.

That Jay Hawke is such a bully. Anyway it was a very good segment and Hawke showing that he is underrated in the dick heel department. Oh and that Zyon guy was there too.

Crimson Skill vs. Martin Hunt

Whino! Some decent action filled with mostly hillarious comedy. The Crimson Skull character is pretty interesting and Heff...is Heff.

Ghost Machine vs. Nick Blum

Ghost Machine bringing da pain...that is all.

Backstage with Zyon and Spike

Ward vs. Walters.

The hosses collide. Good match with Walters mean streak coming into play. No mercy for Ward. The ending was all kinda of awesome. Looking forward to the rematch.

Landon Promo

Liking the Landon vs. The World approach. I'm sure this is just the beginning for whatever Landon has planned.

Zyon vs. Jenkins.

Once again no comment.

Beatdown

Again no comment...I be setting record with these "no comment" comments.

JJJ vs. Pretzler.

Yeah this was good. The entrances really gave this match a "big" match feel to it. Pretzler has been in a couple of these lately. Oh and can we say BOXING STYLE INTROS...yeah. Pretzler starts off schooling Johnson in the fine art of the arm drag...fear its power. Loved how Pretzler's match with Toxxic fit into the pyschology factor in this match. Congrats JJJ. Rather this was co written, Pretzler written, or JJJ written, it was good. Many things can happen from here.

Cortez vs. Ejiro

Nice little rush job here. And the interference added to the match. Storylines were developed nicely.

Overall good Smarkdown. Storylines and programs starting as we are on the way to Genesis.

Toxx, you should know. They aren't just siding with Flesher. They hate Spike because of what he did while in Rev-0. You know...with you, ass.

That was partially my attempt put over that to the Pretzler uberfan that is King, even the almighty lariat is girly, and could not possibly compare to the TILDEBANG~!

And besides, I highly doubt that Scott Pretzler's lariat has even an eighth of the impact of Va'aiga's INSERT LONG HUMOROUS AND WORST CASE OF RUN-ON SENTENCE EVER DESCRIPTION THAT USUALLY ENDS UP DECAPITATING THOSE UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO FEEL ITS WRATH LARIATOOOOOOOOOOOO~!

Spike, what did we do to piss off the backstage crew? And besides, didn't the fac tthat you beat the shit out of me at 13th Hour mean anything to them?

Landon - nice find. And the historians amongst you might notice that buried deep under lariat attempts there lies Toxxic's first ever SWF match...

It's more along the lines of that they haven't forgiven me for being such an asshole when Rev-0 was running around. And I don't think beating you at 13th Hour meant much, because in my mind, the backstage crew and all the workers think that Rev-0 turning on Spike is Spike getting his just-rewards.

I don't recall a single incident of you being an asshole to backstage staff. Maybe it was all off-camera. Maybe I should stop analysing so deeply...

Maybe on your next entrance they'll just refuse to play your music or set off the pyro, and you'll just come out to a Smarktron flashing up 'SPIKE IS GAY!'

(not serious, but it's an idea)
