Guest Fook Report post Posted August 29, 2005 After a week where one RAW Superstar got fired, two more were traded to SmackDown! and the 2005 RAW Diva Search winner Ashley was brutally welcomed to RAW by its two newest Divas Torrie and Candice, nothing seems like a safe bet on RAW. The only sure thing is that Kurt Angle is the new No. 1 Contender to John Cena’s WWE Championship. After Cena defeated Chris Jericho to get him fired last week, Angle attacked the WWE Champion and left him lying in the ring. Will The Champ have revenge in mind when RAW heads to the Tampa. Fla.? While that develops, the rivalry between Matt Hardy and Edge continues to intensify. Edge attacked Hardy after his match with Rob Conway last week, leaving Matt bloodied after an attack involving the steel ring steps. Will these two clash again Monday night? Fresh off a four-person trade that brought them to RAW, Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson welcomed Diva Search winner Ashley to RAW with a vicious attack. How will the newest WWE Diva rebound from her first taste of RAW? Also last week, Shawn Michaels got the best of Chris Masters when “The Masterpiece” interrupted Shawn’s speech in the ring. Next Monday, HBK will attempt to be the first man to break Masters’ vicious full nelson when he takes part in the Master Lock Challenge. Can Michaels get the job done, or will The Masterpiece add HBK to his list of victims? All this and more on Monday night at 9/8 CT on Spike TV. I said this last week, but Michaels should not be the one to break the Masterlock. He really doesn't need the rub from it, plus him not breaking it will give massive credibility to the move. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Something dumb will happen that will allow HBK to not break the Masterlock but also not get put down by it at the same time.
JHawk 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Shawn getting put down by it would certainly add a ton of credibility to the move, and let's face it, not many fans in this day and age by a full nelson as a credible finisher anymore. And you know Shawn's probably winning any blowoff to the feud anyway, so what the hell? That being said, I will still be in complete shock if Shawn's arm drops while locked in the hold tonight. razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 HBK will just no-sell the move with his trademark nipup and superkick.
benoit4hor 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 When HBK sits in the chair with his back to Masters, Masters should chloroform Shawn then put him in the Masterlock.
Guest Reservoir_Kitty Report post Posted August 29, 2005 I definitely think that HBK shouldn't be the one to break the Masterlock. However, I'm sure that after his sand-in-the-vagina fit he threw after losing to Hogan, he won't break it, but he won't lose either. Which makes me wonder... who is the right person to break the Masterlock? I think it's a bit wonky - a relatively new guy giving another new guy the rub isn't exactly going to do much for their credibility, is it? Before, I thought it might be Big Show that broke it, but he seems too concerned with Snitsky's foot fetish. Meh. Why do I care? Jericho's not on RAW anymore, I have no reason to watch. But I will, because I'm stupid.

cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 I am guessing he won't escape, he'll get "injured", Jim Ross will have a heart attack screaming about his bad back, Shawn will go home for a couple of weeks and return without a scratch to then superkick Masters when he challengers anyone in the back in a couple of weeks, then they'll have a PPV match, Shawn will escape the Masterlock by using counters (drop down to victory roll, stopping Masters closing his hands and elbowing him, maybe even a turnbuckle walk) before scoring the superkick and winning. Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 That wouldn't be a bad little feud right there, I don't think.
Guest Fook Report post Posted August 29, 2005 I don't know why, but I like the thought of PMS Version 2 using Snitsky's foot fetish as a way to get him to do their bidding. Then Big Show can team up with Ashley against them.
Guest Brian Report post Posted August 29, 2005 This is some stupid shit, because even if Shawn doesn't break the hold (and thus give it some cred) they still seem to be setting him up to be the one to break it. God damn glass ceiling.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Prediction: Masters gets HBK in the Masterlock, but HBK backs them up into the corner. Masters refuses to break the hold, resulting in a DQ loss.

Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 They should just re-unite the shows and who gives a flying fuck about the others guys not getting any tv time. They can still have the cruiserweights wrestle on Smackdown! but the Tag Titles can finally mean something again, the World and WWE Title can become one title again and then you'll have more contenders. They would have more feud options, US and IC could form one belt and it can finally mean something. And bring back the fucking Hardcore Title and voila...ratings. Have Simon Dean win the Hardcore Title and he gets attacked everywhere he's training. Gold I say. Oh and this RAW will suck.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Michaels has to go down to the Masterlock tonight...he's simply not a big enough or powerful enough guy to escape it. Besides, he's gonna win the PPV match anyway so keep the guy's finisher intact. The PPV match to me has to end with Shawn flipping off the turnbuckles and reversing it...thus not breaking the move but winning the match.
Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Might as well have the WWE/World Champ break the Masterlock when Masters is at main event level.
Guest XxMariaSantosxX Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Well. This spells bad news for the WWE. Here is this. Well, wait. Why does Michaels need to break that Masterlock? Well, here's even more. Why does ANYONE need to break this? I'm thinking "Ok, well, here is this man. Nobody can break from his hands. Well, wait. Here is Michaels, he's broken it. Now Masters isn't special. Why do I watch him? Everybody breaks his hands!" Well, someone consents?
Guest Biggles Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Stroyline wise it would make sense if Edge beat Hardy tonight because Hardy is still injured, however Edge will still end up getting considerable help from Lita, making Edge even more over as a heel while not making Hardy look bad. Hardy will eventually in the feud though.
Guest jackie fargo Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Since the show is in Tampa(Hogan's hometown), Hulk Hogan will interfere in the masterlock challenge and lead to HOgan/HBK in a Cage for UNforgiven...

UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 I see HBK using the turnbuckle to kick off of during the Masterlock and pinning Masters. HBK will say he won, Masters will say he never broke the master lock leading to a match at Unforgiven.
cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 That wouldn't be a bad little feud right there, I don't think. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It'd be more a less a repeat of the Kane/Michaels feud though, with the throat crushing replaced with a reinjured neck/back and a lesser worker in Kane's spot. I cannot see HBK be willing to job to Masters and give him the long term rub given how the Hogan match request bit him in the ass.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 HBK will be put down by the Masterlock, and then we'll get Master's beating him down afterwards. Shawn will be out for a few weeks, and then challenge Master's at the next PPV and win the match.

The PPV match to me has to end with Shawn flipping off the turnbuckles and reversing it...thus not breaking the move but winning the match. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Already been done in other matches like the Venis/Masters match. Masters has held on in such instances. Prediction: Masters gets HBK in the Masterlock, but HBK backs them up into the corner. Masters refuses to break the hold, resulting in a DQ loss. The Masterlock Challenge is not about whether Masters can be pinned or backed into a corner. Masters puts the money up on the condition that the challenger must break the Masterlock. I doubt rope breaks or DQs would matter under such circumstances as it is not under regular match rules. I could see Masters sitting Michaels down in the chair, then running the ropes, clotheslining him off the chair and then slapping up on the Masterlock so he seems extra heelish and damages both the back (Michaels falls back still sitting in the chair, jars his back, the Masterlock meeses up his neck, maybe we'll get a faked vignette of Michaels in rehab to boot). I guess the WWE will dictate whether I am right or wrong in my predictions.
Guest JMA Report post Posted August 29, 2005 Michaels won't be losing two feuds in a row. I have a strong feeling that he'll end up winning the feud. Why didn't he just stay heel?
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2005 This is the point. Look, Masters flat out can't beat Michaels in this feud, not if they want Shawn to have any credibility left. That's why it's weird that they are even doing this. If anyone breaks the Masterlock it has to be someone really jacked who does it. The only way anyone will buy it is for someone to flat out power out of the move. Someone like Batista's size.
