Guest JMA Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Why doesn't Matt just attack Edge like he used to? It's not like he was employed (in kayfabe) when he first came back. What they should do is have Matt sneak attack Edge and steal his briefcase. The next week, Edge begs Matt to give him back the briefcase--even offering Lita as an incentive (he cares more about the title shot). Matt would then appear on the TitanTron, mock Edge, and then set the contract on fire as Edge watches. By doing this, Matt will have ruined Edge's life and will drive him back into his irrational paranoia. The next week, Edge will go crazy and attack Lita, blaming her for losing his title shot and for all the pain Matt has caused him. Since Edge has no way to attack Matt, he pleads with Bischoff to let him face Matt at Survivor Series, and Matt does the same thing with Teddy Long. Both GMs agree to this because they want to one up each other--the match is a "Light's Out Match" (which will work to the skills of both men). Matt gets his win here, and Edge can go on to win the Royal Rumble or something. As for the "Angelic Diablo" character, I'll doubt it'll be that visually different from how Matt dresses now. He isn't going to dress like "Crow" Sting or have horns--at least I hope not. They'll probably just have him ditch the "V1" gear and put him in all black--maybe change his theme, too. We don't even know if WWE will go through with that, though. If I was booking the gimmick I'd make it less of a Crow/Punisher gimmick and more of a Travis Bickle (from Taxi Driver) one. Matt might not be able to pull that off, but I've always wanted to see it done in wrestling. Also, has anyone noticed that neither Edge nor Matt have pinned or made each other submit? Does anyone else think there's a reason behind that?
