Well, good game for Atlanta.

I know, the team lost, but as I said last week, the first couple of weeks mean NOTHING to me.

The loss of two corners and Brady Smith was the huge thing in this game that allowed Seattle to jump out to a that 21 point lead. Plus moving Patrick Kerney off his usual side and onto the side with two fucking probowlers PROBABLY wasn't the best way to handle the lost of Brady Smith. Seatte was forcing Nickel coverage and killing that Morton kid that got signed this week. I do believe that two of the touchdown passes were on him. The Falcons are going to need to address their lack of depth in the secondary with the loss of Mathis and Rossum.

BUT, through all this, they went in the locker room, made some adjustments and came out like the defensive team that they are and shut the Seahawks down in the second half and the offense put up 18. I personally think it would have been more had Vick not tweeked his hammy in the 4th quarter. Matt Shab was put in a very tough situation, and almost delievered.

TJ Duckett was severly underused in the short yardage situation and the coaches are going to have to look at that play calling. Vick and his recievers were clicking more this game, although he still overthrew a few guys deep. But like I said. Week two. I expect those sort of things.

18-21 Seattle, but still, I was happy with what the Falcons were able to do in the second half.

Note that I asked about the NFC. The AFC is fucking harsh. Colts at 2-0, Steelers at 2-0, Bengals as well, Chiefs too. Bunch of others at 1-1 that are dangerous.

Why is it that it seems like both confs. are never good at once? It was like that Packers/Broncos Super Bowl was the only time it's ever happened in the past decade.

Predictions for tonight's Monday Doubleheader...

Saints 24 Giants 14- I think the Saints come in with a chip on their shoulder with the NFL having them play a "home" game in NY, which is a joke and the Saints expose the Giants as over achieving last week.

Redskins 13 Cowboys 31- Cowboys keep their dominance over my beloved Redskins. I'm pulling for Ol' DC, but the realist in me sees Mark Brunnell as QB and an OL that has talent, but is still undisciplined. I think the only touchdown we'll score will be defensively.

Both conferences have their good teams, the AFC's supposed "dominance" is grossly exagerrated. Both conferences have exactly three great teams and the rest sort themselves out from there. You've got New England, Pittsburgh, and Indianapolis in the AFC, and you've got Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Carolina in the NFC. You've got your middle of the road/rising/falling teams like the Chiefs, Raiders, Jaguars, Ravens, and Bengals in the NFC with the Cowboys, Vikings, Bucs, and Saints. The rest sort themselves out from here, at least from the way things are looking right now.

The hometown saints are getting a pretty good reaction for losing the ball.

I'm rooting against the Saints...cause I'm sick of hearing about them. Just let them lose and see if the love affair at least can calm down. A win and it will NEVER end.

I feel bad for the Saints. At their "home" game they have to deal with what amounts to a completely hostile crowd. When they were backed up on their own 5 for a drive, they were taking false start penalties due to crowd noise, pretty weak. Good work Tagliabue.

Did anyone else notice Theisman and Macguire laughing behind Tagliabue during his booth interview?

What's wrong with Stuart Scott's eyes? They are loppy.

Stuart Scott was injured on April 3, 2002, at the New York Jets training camp while reporting for ESPN when a machine that throws footballs for receivers to practice on hit him in the left eye with a football, requiring Scott to undergo surgery of the cornea

Jesus christ, I have never seen something more pathetic than this Redskins offense.

Guess I spoke too soon. Washington with a huge play to Santana Moss to go up 14-13 with a bit over 2 minutes left in Dallas. We've got a game here!

I just want to state that I hate living where I do. All the fucking Redskin fans who've been "Ravens" fans for the last 5 years are coming out of the woodwork like annoying stupid termites.

God damn stupid bandwagon jumping hypocrites. The Redskins magically go to 2-0 and its "JOE GIBBS IS LEADING US BACK TO THE SUPER BOWL!!"

I really want the Cowboys to get a FG and pull this out.

Amazing. Dallas had a shut out going with 4 minutes left and managed to let Santana Moss get loose for a 40 yard TD catch and then a 70 yard TD catch.
