Guest stringerbell Report post Posted September 15, 2005 WWE is planning a Razor Ramon doll, and is attempting to get in touch with Scott Hall. Vince McMahon was recently pitched an idea for a character based on Dave Chappelle. Vince, initially not knowing who Chappelle was, was impressed when shown some of his comedy. The Rock was asked to appear on the RAW debut on USA Network, being billed as a "Night of Champions." Either due to prior commitments or otherwise, he will unfortunately not be appearing. WWE.com has kept The Rock listed as a member of the RAW roster, and many inside WWE have the understanding that he will be available from time to time. Backstage, Matt Hardy and Edge have been keeping their distance, not talking unless it's specifically related to an on-air segment or match.Lita is said to be taking the situation very hard, and looks uncomfortable backstage.Matt Hardy is said to be optimistic about his future with WWE and the angle with Edge. cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 WWE is planning a Razor Ramon doll, and is attempting to get in touch with Scott Hall. They should check the dumpsters behind all the bars and strip joints in his hometown. Vince McMahon was recently pitched an idea for a character based on Dave Chappelle. Vince, initially not knowing who Chappelle was, was impressed when shown some of his comedy. I hope Chapelle sues their asses off. Also, how the hell can you make a character based on Dave Chappelle? If they had a character that humourously highlighted racial stereotypes by noting all the bullshit in the media... they'd more or less run themselves into the ground by allowing someone to point out the bullshit on their own program. They are deluding themselves. If Rock appeared on WWE TV it would be a step down for him. Why would he associate himself with the product now when it sucks dick when he can be earning millions making movies and hanging out with actual stars, without having to deal with snide comments and having his efforts to put others over ruined by company rivals (see Hurricane vs HHH whenever he feels like beating a jobber on TV)? Backstage, Matt Hardy and Edge have been keeping their distance, not talking unless it's specifically related to an on-air segment or match.Lita is said to be taking the situation very hard, and looks uncomfortable backstage.Matt Hardy is said to be optimistic about his future with WWE and the angle with Edge. Matt Hardy is an idiot. If returning to the WWE after they fired him while he was rehabbing his injury because his girlfriend slept with his friend, having him lose matches weeks after his return and getting the piss beat out of him in his first PPV match back and accepting the decisions the entire time were not retarded enough, the fact he actually thinks this is going to lead to him being anything other than a terminal midcarder a la Jericho is proof he truly is as stupid as his sideburns lead us to believe. Classy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because Scott "air hostess/old lady molester, car vandal, chronic no shower, show up in no condition to perform, suffer alcohol poisoning on a plane back from Korea, smoke dope before shows with Nash" Hall is the epitome of class and professionalism and deserves to be treated in the same way. He had some good matches years ago but the guy is an unrepentant wreck for the most part.

Vince, initially not knowing who Chappelle was, was impressed when shown some of his comedy. Well of course he likes racism. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This sounds like one of those Vince Russo ideas where they'll run a bunch of promos, have him do some skits and backstage vignettess, and then finally realize it doesn't translate into an in ring character at all. After doing a few jobs, he'll be gone. Beaver Cleavage anyone?

Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 What what what? WWE wants a celebrity at WrestleMania? Hold the phone! A MAJOR celebrity....WITH crossover appeal? Holy shit, I don't believe that. What next, PW Torch? WWE wants HHH to appear at WrestleMania? The Chappelle thing sounds stupid too. I'm betting it was one of the Hollywood writers pitching that. No surprise Vince doesn't know who Dave Chappelle is, either. His finger is so far away from the pulse of society and all.

Slickster 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2005 Yeah, they want to use his likeness for the Razor Ramon Legends figure. Also, the new 10am Sat show will be called "A.M. RAW." Finally, if you go to USA's website and look at the John Cena splash at the bottom left, note that the 'RAW' logo now has 'Monday Night' written over it.
