If Angle Is God and Ravenbomb are rooting for 24 and Lost to win Best Drama, respectively, they have quite clearly not seen Deadwood. Which should be awarded Best Drama and Best Actor without any charade of a competition with it.

I am pleased this ep is getting nominated and recognized for its greatness; if anyone has watched it, you'll know what I mean. The editing is kick ass, too.

Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House

More than -anything- else, I'm hoping he wins. He totally -owns- the show, character, and everything else. House is a character full of snark and smarts, impatience and intellect; he doesn't beat around the emotional bush, he gets right to the point with the facts. Penchant for breaking the rules and a grey area of morality also help the greatness of the character. Hugh plays him so wonderfully.

I know Desperate Housewives is going to dominate the comedy category, but I hope Arrested gets something.

It'll grab the Comedy Writing spot but nothing else.

Oh and There's more to TV then Lost.

However, this should be ABC's night with Lost and DH picking up huge.

Have you seen Lost, though? I've watched Deadwood and loved every second of it, felt it was right up there with Lost- but not as good as Lost.

I watched almost every episode of Lost - it was good, but it's constant "Something's going to happen, oh wait, no, it didn't" became tiring after about ten episodes. It came back well around the end after about episode twenty, but it's tease ending with the hatch only served to piss me off further. It is not as brilliant a show as Deadwood, which truly is the most fantastic thing on television today.

Lost was great in concept but a bit of a letdown in execution (though its Pilot episode was very well done).

Actually, watching the season again, I'm glad they didn't show what was in the hatch. The whole episode was loaded as it was, they wouldn't have had near enough time to show what was in the hatch and give it a good payoff.

When do they usually hand out the awards for best actor in a drama series? Basically, I only have interest in Hugh's nom/win, and don't feel like waiting three hours for it.

late in the show.

Hopefully 24 gets some wins. Kiefer deserves to win, as he was excellent this past year, especially just for the episode

Air Force One was shot down
